The first book ended in a very unexpected way when Lucy (Sasha's best friend) crashed her car and came out all bloodied.
This book focused on Nox the new VP of the MC and Lucy, these two definitely went through insta-love. There was no real buildup for them and that's why it was three stars for me, I didn't feel connected to them. They went from lusting over each other to suddenly being in love.
Lucy is running from something and her whole life is a lie. What is that lie? She is Isaac Blackwood’s wife. Isaac is a cruel mobster, and she ran away from him almost four years ago, but he has found her once again and he will stop at nothing to get his wife back. Lucy has also been lying about her real name and it's Natasha. He was abusive and a cheater. She was trapped in her home and used because of his obsession with her. She met him at a party when she was barely legal (in the UK) at 16 and he was 26. They had been married for 6 years before she ran away. She described as being first attentive and made her happy but his true self was a monster who showed up after a while and she was unable to get away from him and suffered at his hands.
Nox defended her and believed her story of having nothing to do with her boss being brutally murdered and her witnessing it but when the truth comes out, he is pissed off beyond belief to find out he defended a liar and slept with a married woman. He did make her feel very small about her lies and honestly, I was shocked about it since he was so levelheaded about Sasha and her disappearance and reveals you would expect him to have some sort of understanding as to why she lied and kept things a secret. She was petrified and needed to delete that life to be able to live on.
There were a lot of talks about Isaac and his mobster ways, but I wanted more info about HIM and what made him cruel and known to the world outside of his marriage to Lucy.
We also got a HFN at the end of the book, obviously they are not going to breakup, but I was hoping for something more in terms of the future.
I am excited for the next book though! Age gap, brothers’ best friend!
I’m loving this series! It’s dark, but not too dark. The characters are far from perfect, but they are somehow perfect for each other. We met both Lucy and Nox in the first book in this series. Just like the heroine in the first in the series, Lucy has a secret, and it’s kept from the reader (and everyone else) for the majority of the book. The suspense is built up gradually throughout the storyline, leading to an intense climactic scene. I definitely recommend this one to lovers of romantic suspense books that tread a little on the darker side.
"The damage is already done. There’s no fucking easy way out of this. Wake up and smell the fucking blood because war is coming."
Nox, VP of Untamed Sons, falls hard for Lucy who has a secret past.. 4.5 stars!
**Trigger warning: suggested rape off-page, attempted rape, strong language, MC violence and gore**
This is only my second book by Jessica Ames, and I can wholeheartedly say that I am officially a fan of her work! I am so glad that I decided to take a chance on her novels; she has created a dark, gritty, and smoldering MC universe with the Untamed Sons series, and I cannot wait for more.
Nox and Lucy's story starts off right where the cliffy from book one left off; Lucy has just driven her car into the front gate of the Untamed Sons clubhouse covered in blood and full of secrets. The beginning for me was a bit repetitive as there is so much secrecy and unknown surrounding Lucy's connection to Isaac Blackwood, but once readers learn the truth, the story revved full throttle and did not let up. I have become fully invested (and slightly obsessed) with all of the Untamed Sons members and their upcoming stories, and I'm so glad I have a copy of DAIMON lined up in my queue already! ♡
This is the second book in a series and features characters we have been introduced to previously. There was a brief oh my moment at the end of book one where Lucy crashes her vehicle into the Untamed son's compound whilst escaping some unknown assailants. Turns out Lucy has some secrets ones that not even Sasha is aware of.
Nox the new VP is immediately concerned and is willing to go that extra mile to protect the woman that he has caught feelings for despite the rest of the MC club being slightly suspicious regarding her story. Nox won’t have it as far as he’s concerned Lucy is the victim and they owe her for stepping up for Sasha and Lily-May he’s determined to protect and also claim her for his own. Lucy’s Secrets will bring heat to the club placing everyone associated in danger but despite this, she can’t help wanting Nox even knowing she should stay far away and she knows once the truth emerges she’ll definitely be enemy number one.
So this was enjoyable I was slightly disappointed that it was so insta in nature but I did like Nox a lot he was a real sweetie and the best part of this. Lucy whilst I understood why she was playing her cards close to her chest mostly due to her trust issues I still thought she acted indecisively. She kept saying she planned to run but didn’t seem to do anything to achieve her ends even knowing that time was literally ticking away and the jig would soon be up for her.
Also if she’d been honest from the start things would have gone much easier for her. I mean the MC literally owed her but no she acts like an island not even confiding in her best friend and then does absolutely nothing to leave. She was aware her presence placed them all in danger but then failed to do them the courtesy of sharing important information when it was obvious her intentions to split were half arsed at best. It just didn’t endear her to me. I then thought Nox got over Lucy's deception very quickly and then the finish and final resolution just felt way too easy.
Overall though this was Ok for me but I did prefer book one. The action here did keep me turning the pages and the writing itself was good and an easy fit it just also felt like there was something slightly missing as well causing a disconnect from the narrative. I just wasn’t that invested in the overall outcome. I’m not sure yet if I’m planning to continue on with this series. On the one hand, I like the writing but I’m just failing to connect fully and I’m not sure if it will be the same with book three for the moment I’m slightly on the fence. It’s still a decent enough read just maybe not the right fit for me.
Huge case of insta-lust I could see no basis for. Plus the heroine is so duplicitous and such a liar she puts everyone including her best friend and child at risk. No emotional investment with either the H or h.
NOX Is book 2 in the untamed sons series by Jessica Ames just like Ravage book 1: secrets- New love(which is new) and bloody revenge, but being book 2 means the author is keeping the same concept but making it more. Like book 1 definitely recommending it especially if hot bikers is your thing 📖
Romance genre: MC Series: Untamed Sons Length: 220 pages
Plot: Lucy is a friend of Sasha's from the first book (Ravage) and Nox is the VP of the MC. When Lucy comes to the clubhouse needing help, Nox is more than happy. They make a serious connection, but Lucy isn't exactly who she seems, and that betrayal may be more than Nox can handle.
Commentary: Lucy has an abusive ex, but not only is she hiding from him, he is also someone who could cause a lot of trouble for the club. But she doesn't ask for help. All the heartache could have been avoided if she would have confessed at the very beginning. Saying "I love you, I swear things were real" as someone is accusing you of treachery never goes over well. Nox got over it much more quickly than I would have thought. Are there really that many guns in England? I only mention it because I thought it was really difficult to get a gun over there, but all the MCs and mobsters in these books have them, lots of them. That can't be based in reality, right? This book was okay, although I preferred the first one - I connected with the heroine more.
Previous book in the series:Ravage Next book in the series:Daimon

THE BETRAYAL I cannot undo what I have done; I can't un-sing a song that's sung.
And the saddest thing about my regret
I can't forgive me and you can't forget
~ Lang Leav
This poem perfectly describes the tumultuous relationship between Nox and Lucy. I had so many moments where I just held my breath waiting to uncover the secrets that Lucy was trying to hide. When the Big Bang occurred and the devastation Nox felt was written all over his face, I was just heartbroken. When your whole life is based upon loyalty and you get gut punched, can you forgive? Will love conquer betrayal and hurt? Do these two get their HEA? Read the book and find out.
I love MC romance and I really love MC romance with some violence and questionable actions thrown in, this has it all. The Untamed Sons are bada$$ and keep the action coming.
This author had her Wheaties for breakfast and brought her A game when she wrote this series . This is the second book in the Untamed Sons MC and all I can say is wow!!!
You will remember Nox as Vice President of the club and Lucy as Sasha’s best friend and roommate from book one . Lucy has secrets that she has kept from the club and her best friend. Nox and Lucy has fab chemistry and Nox is falling hard but the secrets could mean death for anyone involved.
I absolutely loved Nox in this book . He really went to bat for Lucy and it broke my heart when he felt betrayed .
Lucy was frustrating as she kept her secrets to herself and made her situation worse as well as endangering the entire club .
I couldn’t put this book down and read it all in one sitting and the only part I didn’t love was that it ended . I am obsessed with the men of Untamed Sons and can’t get enough . You don’t want to miss this series !
Loved this book just as much if not more the second time around. I really liked the audio version. Anything this author writes is gold for me!
The h pissed me off she was a selfish liar. She knew going to the club would bring trouble but she didnt care, and she lies to them about why she is in trouble. She is running from her ex husband, a crime lord, who abused her. The H/h fell fast for each other. When her husband comes and gets her the H gets shot. The mc get their other chapters of the mc to come and go get h back. The h ends up stabbing the husband to death. I liked the story but it could be repetitive.

“I’m the wolf in sheep’s clothing. Everything about me is fake and I hate myself for the choices I’ve made over the years. I should have told Sasha the truth.” “I should have told her my secrets too, but I’d held onto them for so long I couldn’t open up to anyone—even her.”
Oh girl. You got yourself into a big pickle. Lucy has so many lies built on top of lies that she has kept a secret for many years, she dug herself into a deep hole. While her intentions were pure at heart, she put herself in jeopardy by being on the run from someone evil from her past. But she also brought drama to the MC that her BFF is a part of. Not only that, but she’s falling fast for the new vice Prez named Nox. “because Nox fills my heart, my soul, my everything completely. I don’t know that I can exist without him. He filled that hole inside me with light. For once my darkness is gone, and that’s his doing.”
Lucy knows that she’s putting a target on Nox’s back but she never expected to fall so deep for someone else. When push comes to show of she needs to do what’s best for her friends and family and that is to run.
What happens next is drama and craziness! Well this book was extremely predictable, it’s fast-paced, easy to read, and a really cool series so far. I thoroughly enjoy these characters.
OMG I am a big pile of mush right about now!!! I honestly thought that no-one would beat Ravage in being my favourite MC bad boy for the Untamed Sons but here comes Nox and he pushes him straight off the top spot and makes me swoon so much its unreal!!! I cant understand how Jessica manages to write a story that just pulls you in so easily making you want to devour it word by word but also makes you want to read slowly as you don't want it to end!! I always just fall into her books and don't want to leave again haha Nox is VP for the Untamed Sons and the club mean everything to him... he would never put anyone before them...until Lucy literally crashes into his life making him question his thoughts and feelings. Lucy is living in fear when her past catches up with her and turns to the only people she can at such a horrendous time. Queue drama.. angst.. feelings galore and a whole lot of goosebumps!!! Absolutely adored this book and cant wait for more in this series.
Nox is the VP of the Untamed Sons MC and he will believe in you until you cross him. Lucy was the person who looked after Ravage’s old lady and little girl so when her car came barreling into the clubhouse gate no one really knew what happened. It was Nox that took it upon himself to help the one woman who had stood up to him.
Oh, the lies and deceit was enough to possibly bring Nox to his knees and Lucy was in the middle of all the drama. Nox even went as far as standing up to his brothers for the woman he was falling in love with. So you can imagine the shock and betrayal he felt toward Lucy when he found out who she really was and the target she put not only on his back but his club’s as well.
This book was a huge pager and had me rooting for them throughout. It was full of steam, lies and betrayal. Just how far could Nox be pushed before he ready to pull out all the stops for Lucy. Another great addition to this series.
Nox by Jessica Ames is a MC romantic suspense that I listened to on audio narrated by PJ Morgan and Freddie Wills. This is the second book in the Untamed Sons MC series.
This is the second book of Jessica's that I have read, and it won't be my last. I really enjoyed the relationship between Nox and Lucy. It's messy but you couldn't help but root for them. I liked that we got both of their points of views throughout the book. It really brought the story to life.
I can't wait for the next book in the series Daimon to be released on audio so I can get Daimon and Briella's story.
PJ and Freddie did a great job on the narration. They both really know how to bring a story to life. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.
I would recommend this book if you like MC romances or romantic suspense.
I'm new to Jessica Ames, but the 3 books I have now read have been really good, if you like the MC genre you will love these. The stories flow nicely, and the plots are good with twists and have that will keep you gripped from start to finish. The main characters are good and side characters that I cannot wait to read their stories. I would highly recommend these books. I will definitely be working my way through them all.
The Untamed Sons don’t operate on the right side of the law but they love deeply and wholeheartedly. And Nox loves Lucy. And he wants to have her, even if it means going to war with the local mafia.
I thoroughly enjoyed this second installment in the series. The story is well paced and -although a bit predictable- very entertaining. I was very curious about Lucy and Nox based on the first book and they didn’t disappoint 😜
Nox is VP of The Untamed Sons MC and is loyal to them. Lucy is the woman that makes him question things and tests his loyalty. Lucy has a dark past that comes calling. It may cost the couple everything, even their lives. An action packed, fast paced read with plenty of thrills.
Nox and Lucy are a couple waiting to happen since she saved Rav's Old Lady and daughter in the previous book.
But Lucy isn't who she says she is, and Nox not only has his own feelings to contend with, but those of his brothers. My heart wept for Nox as he dealt with her betrayal, and I was willing to hate her for him.
But like every great MC story, the flip side to the tale is so gut wrenching that my cold little heart warmed up to her.
Another brilliant story DB. You never let us down xx
This book is awesome, Lucy is in trouble and crashes in to the compound where Nox is. He is and his brothers are helping her but they don’t know why she is in trouble. The suspense is great the writing is addictive, I sat on the edge of my couch reading and could not stop. I highly recommend.
This story started with a big bang, as Lucy (our heroine) needs help from the Untamed Sons MC because she's in major danger & injured. However, the secrets she's keeping close to the vest won't win her any friends that's for sure, and she definitely can't have anything good with Nox, the VP, who she shares some major chemistry with. He's a guy who has never really looked to settle down, but Lucy is a woman who has him thinking long term, but first, he needs to find those who are after her. For most of this story, I was on the edge of my seat waiting on the other shoe to drop since I had about as much clue about her secrets as everyone else did, especially since the MC may not be as inclined to keep her safe once they learn of the danger she's putting them in the middle of. It made for some serious twists as Jessica Ames didn't even give us the big picture for a cool minute so I was trying to figure it all out for myself. Anyway, I'm not about to say anything else because y'all just need to experience it for yourselves! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
Nox & Lucy: triggers-domestic abuse, sexual assault. this was okay. it's an insta love, insta lust story but really no report than that. Lucy is the friend that helped Sasha in the previous book and now Lucy needs help, so she runs to the only people who can help. only, they may turn against her if they find out her secret. it's very steamy but the main characters never have a conversation about anything with substance but "I love you's" are thrown out. so.. 🤷🏾♀️
Nox is all about his club and his brothers. When Lucy is hurt, he has a need to protect her. Lucy knows she needs to leave. Nox makes her feel alive again but she doesn’t want anyone to get hurt. Can they survive her truth or will it destroy everything.
This is the second book in the Untamed Sons MC series. I read this when it was originally released in 2020, and re-read in 2023. It is just as enjoyable the second time around.
If you are a fan of MC romance, I strongly encourage you to start this series. This is the Mother Chapter, and this author has other USMC chapters to fall in love with, as well as this one. But - in my opinion - this is the chapter to begin your reading.
We met both Lucy and Nox in the first book in this series. Sasha kept a huge secret from Ravage (the chapter’s president) in book one, and her best friend and roommate Lucy is keeping a secret as well. (What’s up with these women!?) Super frustrating, because she is endangering the entire club, not just herself. I definitely recommend this one to lovers of romantic suspense books that tread a little on the darker side.
Nox is a fantastic Vice President of the club, and I love how he supported Lucy. But then, it broke my heart when he felt betrayed! These characters are easy to relate to and connect with, and I love this author’s craftsmanship with this club. There is so much chemistry between these two, and, while they are not perfect, they are perfect for each other. The suspenseful nature of this storyline kept the pages turning, and I was through my re-read much too soon for my liking. This series has a darker spin on MC life, and some events may be unsettling for sensitive readers.
That said, I loved my read, and will continue with the next one in this series ASAP.
Love, love, love Nox. Did I mention that I love this book? I've been eagerly waiting for Nox's story since I read Ravage. The VP of the Untamed Sons is enigmatic, always calm and reflective, and not a fan of torture yet he will release its daemons when it comes to protecting his club and those he cares about. When it comes to the MC, he is the voice of reason, the one who ponders the possibilities and sees behind the lies. He complements Ravage, the Untame0s Prez, leadership.
Nox is smitten by Lucy, Sasha's best friend, who helped care for Sasha and Rav's daughter over the past three years. He likes her sass and don't-care-who-you-are attitude. So when Lucy comes smashing into the club's gate, Nox vows to protect her and find those who hurt her.
The book is full of angst, slow burn, and suspense. A web of lies and deceit is masterfully waved into the plot, making the story addictive and powerful. Jessica Ames' writing is impeccable, and her character and world development superb. I'm so curious about who will be next because this series is quickly becoming one of my favorites.
3 stars. The actual story was a good 4 stars but there was so many pages of filler and head talk that honestly the story was only about 100 pages. This is such a shame because I loved the story and the characters but this book was less than even a novella. Nox became a little obnoxious towards the end, like a little whipped teenager but Lucy I did like and she was somewhat tougher than I thought she was going to be. I did like having Rav and Sasha back but it still didn’t give me enough on them or their little girl to make up for the lack of their story in the first book. I would love to continue with this series but so far I only end up disappointed because I only get a partial story in each book. Normally, I won’t read a book that is less than 300 pages and again, I remember why I don’t reach short stories. It’s too frustrating. The writing and the plot / stories are awesome but there just isn’t enough there to keep going
Nox is all about his club and his brothers. When Lucy is hurt, he has a need to protect her. Lucy knows she needs to leave. Nox makes her feel alive again but she doesn’t want anyone to get hurt. Can they survive her truth or will it destroy everything.

Great Book This book is definitely worth the read! You are going to be hooked!
~~~~~~~~~~Tracy's ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Review~~~~~~~~~~
Nox is the VP of the Untamed Sons MC and his club has always been his first priority that is until Lucy comes crashing into the Clubhouse and flips his world upside down. Amazing writing I loved this story and I loved how Nox is, in fact how all the men of this MC are so amazing. I can't wait for the next book in this series. I can't read books by Jessica Ames fast enough.
This book was formulaic, predicable and regarding the guns frankly ridiculous.
I was bored tbh. So many inconsistencies not least this is the uk, we don't have legal guns, growing up there i never once saw a gun, heard one or knew anyone with one yet im supposed to believe they have a massive shootout outside the clubhouse and there's no repercussions from the police? Then there's the trawl of all the bikers to blackwood House and no one follows them, then another big shootout n still no police?
Gun anything in the uk is a big deal. A gunshot is not something you hear n think oh thats a gunshot n carry on!! The police would be all over it like a rash. Yet all that happens n absolutely no follow up from the police, really just too ridiculous!
Also I found the sex scenes cold n not remotely sexy infact I ended up skimming through.
