And, nothing, for Sandy, can ever be the same again . . .
I first read this as a young teen, and have reread it in my early forties. It doesn't have quite the same hold on me, which is to be expected! But it was lovely to get back into the horse world.
Brilliant book! I love KM Peyton's books so much. This is one of only a handful I've read that were written in my lifetime, and although it's 20 years old, just like the majority of Peyton's books it has a wonderful timeless quality. Points for:
Peyton's talent for capturing setting so beautifully - I really felt like I was there.
Swoony love interest.
Good mystery, even if I was underwhelmed by the denoument.
Realistic and likeable characters.
Horses.
Oh, and the title. It's really hard to find a decent description of this on the webs, so I bought it mainly for the author and the title. I needed to find out who the Wild Boy was!
