Corabelle Conrad has lived a pampered life until the upheaval of divorce and an empty nest makes her reckless one night. After an unfulfilling marriage, she’s out to get what she hasn’t had in years—an orgasm or three. The night held no promises after those twelve hours, but it’s been difficult to let go of the connection she had with a man so unlike her. A man who shows up on her doorstep a year later.
Justice lives by a code of brotherhood. Bikes first. Babes second. When a classy lady enters the Devil’s Den, she’s in the wrong place looking for the right thing and he wants to be the one to give it to her. He can’t explain it. She’s everything opposite him, but after a year separation, he’s wondering if she’ll open the door for him again.

I liked where this was heading, but the ending is very sudden. I'm hoping there's more on this couple to see how they hopefully make a relationship work.
Justice for Cora by L.B. Dunbar is a delightful novella from the Silver Foxes of Blue Ridge series. This is a quick listen as it was a part of the Read Me Romance podcast series.
Cora and Justice are introduced to the reader in the previous books in this series but it is not integral to the plot of this book. I felt like it cleared up questions I had of them from the book Silver Mayor.
This is an opposites attract romance.
I can only hope that L.B. Dunbar continues this story either in a full length book or another novella.
Even though I’ve not read the interconnected books to this novella, I fell easily into the story.
I enjoyed that both main characters were older and unashamedly explored their obvious connection. For Cora it’s an awakening, for Justice, I’m going out on a limb and kinda guessing that he’s putting himself back out there after a past clusterfuck of a relationship. In a way, it’s also (seemingly) a second chance. For both individually, and as a couple.
The dichotomy of them being on polar opposite ends of the ‘social standing’ scale added an edge to their sexual spark that was delicious.
There’s (I think?) plenty of plot easter eggs for fans of the series that (I’m assuming) connect back to, and forward with, other character’s stories.
Only downside for me was that it ended somewhat abruptly, in a kinda HFN. Tbh, I’m not sure if this short audio story is their complete story or is a prequel to a longer book. (Personally, I felt like there was so much more to explore with them, their story and their possible future. And I’d be down for it!)
It stopped a little abruptly so I’m assuming her story continues in a different book. This was a new to me author. I wasn’t completely sold on this story, but since it was just a short podcast I would be willing to try other books.
Very brief, very abrupt ending. They meet, they have their night (which happens off screen), they meet again, they have another night- which we do see part of, and the morning after then bam. He knows a lot about her and her family, but we don't know how or why. Her son is estranged but she doesn't seem to be making any efforts in bridging that. Her daughter seems to be trying to forge a relationship but we only see a very brief single scene involving her. Cora seems to be falling for Justice but also seems ok in just accepting whatever he offers- which doesn't seem like much. It was a little sad, she already had a marriage where she just floated through it accepting crumbs until she just accepted that she would get nothing. She asks Justice if he'd seen anyone in their year apart and he dodged. It just seems like a rerun, but without kids, of her previous relationship. If this is supposed to tempt us into reading the series it isn't a great lure. Especially as none of the books in the series seems to be about Cora or Justice.
I read this short short ebook story and even though short it is packed with good stuff! Justice and Cora. Cora wants her night to be different than anything she has done before. After kicking her cheating husband out she needs something special. So she decides to go to a bar. She goes and sits down and eventually a stranger sits down beside her. She thinks this is it. Can she go through with it? Why not! And his name is Justice. After they have the most amazing night they each go there own way. About a year has gone by and Cora returned to her normal day minus the ex. The next thing you know there is a knock at her door. Wondering who could be put in this cold snowy weather, she opens the door and guess who is on her porch? You guessed it. None other than the biker Justice! OMG!
Title: Justice for Cora Author: L.B. Dunbar Format: audio Narrator: Sophie James Genre: romance, opposite, MC, older couple Standalone: feels more like a prequel than a full and complete story Part of a Series: Cora is in Silver Mayer and Second Chance POV: Cora Steam Level: steamy but not too explicit 3/5
I listened to this audiobook on the Read Me Romance podcast. I don’t know if it was the character or the narrator but this story fell a little flat for me. I liked that the characters were an older couple. I use the term “couple” loosely since it was more a two night stand than an actual relationship The end of this story feels more like the beginning of something new.
What happens when a one night stand doesn't just stay a one night stand.
Even if it has been a year, the passion and chemistry between Cora and Justice are still there. What started out as just a night of fun could end up being a forever.
Justice and Cora's short story is appealing, though definitely too short for my taste. There are so many unanswered questions in this super-hot, if somewhat melancholy, story that I would love to see it turned into a full-length novel.
Ugh. Two weeks I a row now the RMR podcast books have left me feeling disappointed. I didn’t care much for the narrator or plot. A little too sweet for me.
Listened on RMR podcast Corabelle meets Justice and spends the night with him after her divorce, a year later he shows up at her house. Ends with a HFN
I don’t like to give spoilers on the books that I read. I believe the blurb on the back is enough for you to decide if you will read the book or not. If you choose to read, enjoy!
I read this on Kindle - not as an audiobook. Thought I was getting a 'whole' book but apparently not. This was about 2 chapters maybe. Didn't learn much about Cora or Justice. Disappointing/
