This series reminded me of at least some components of Spawn.

Lady Death is on a mission in hell and is sending evil spirits to their final resting place to Oblivion. Where the dead go to be really really dead.

The series is jammed pack full of content and battles and may be running the risk of being overly convoluted. It's not always clear what the goal is and what is actually be accomplished. But the writing isn't bad and this volume is an easy read.

By far the strongest component of this series is the absolutely stunning art work. This series wants to flaunt big busted scantily clad demon slayers! So if you love big tit babes of the Heavy Metal variety. Strong women who wanna battle in bikinis then this series is gonna be for you.

If muscle bound manly demons and battle hardened big boob babes are your thing then check the series out.

Ultimately the art work is what made this series for me. I'm nearly done Volume 2 and feel similarly about that book. Art is A+ and the writing is maybe a B or C. I hope as I read more of this series I'll better understand what's going on and maybe my view of the writing will improve.

4 stars overall.

When men write hot women in nothing but spicy leather underwear to breast boobily around the underworld, why can't they write them into an interesting story, how hard can it be.

Listen, I will be the first to admit that Lady Death is basically a comic book envisioned by an edgy 13 year old boy. There is T&A to an almost ludicrous degree, gratuitous blood and guts. Heads fly off on every other page, and then the others the artist is trying to see how much skin you can show without being classified as porn. But here is the thing, I also believe that inside every adult guy there is an 13 year old boy who still relishes this stuff. I for one am glad to see Lady Death is still around. Now I certainly don't wish every comic was like this, but I think there is still a place for it in our world.

I grew up reading this series and really loved it. This new series is really amazing. As a woman, I always love a series about a kickass woman, and as an artist I appreciate that the art and writing really deliver. The last two companies that published lady death weren't so great but this new series is as good as the chaos comics days I remember.

It would be easy to dismiss this as exploitive, objectifying, etc... but that's not really the case. The heroine is a certified badass straight out of an 80s heavy metal album cover with a tragic past and an attitude. The story is somewhat convoluted at first and I felt a little lost initially, but it gradually drew me in.
I was told this is the place to start reading the series, but I understand that there is some previous material under a different publishing label - so that might have some of the background that I was missing. The story itself is a supernatural smorgasbord featuring demons, curses, werewolves, angels, and a war apparently between Heaven and Hell. The artwork is superb. I found some of the dialogue a little cringy, but if you are a fan of action/horror/fantasy fiction then this won't disappoint!

I was not sure to what to expect when I started to started this series. I am not too familiar with Lady Death or her universe. So far I am pretty pleased. I thought it was a bit a shaky start, but the eventually started to pick up and became more interesting. I liked the setting the story takes place. It is hell, but it also has different races and a class system. I like the classism conflict that is presented in the story. It is not traditional class vs class conflict. I think the art work is well done and fits the story and setting.

Lady Death has awoken from her slumber. She is then thrown into chaos. I feel the story got more interesting when Lady Death rescues an innocent boy named Jacob. Jacob was sold to a demon. Lady Death becomes his protector, and wants to get him back to earth. Overall, this was a good volume; and I do plan on continuing the series.

I'm starting to think that Lady Death is a one hit wonder, the first one was epic but the rest have just been trash.

This one has Lady death fighting various demons and always overpowering them by saying, "YOU CAN'T BEAT ME I'M LADY DEATH". It's worse than the power of friendship trope in manga, at least they have something to fight for. Lady Death just does it because...... It's never answered it was mentioned in the first one about revenge on her father but after that it's a spinning wheel.

Throughout reading this I had to put it down and check my phone, that's how dull it is. Props to the guy who did the art as it's quite nice, bit too much fanservice for me but I'm sure some guys appreciate it.

Lady Death, with her sword Oblivion, lay waste to the denizens of Hell in her search for the mage responsible for her 20 year sleep. Great story and excellent illustrations. highly recommended.
