Freddie Mercury Story: Living on the Edge

Rate this book
For over twenty years Freddie Mercury reigned supreme and leading light of one of the most popular and biggest-selling bands in rock 'n' roll history. In this affectionate and revealing biography, David Bret presents a completely rounded picture of the man still mourned by millions, in what would have been his fiftieth year. Bret traces the spectacular life of this icon of rock from his obscure but colorful youth in a remote part of India to his final, courageous battle against AIDS - the terrible disease that robbed the world of one of its greatest stars.

Great book! A little window to look into my beloved rock icon's real live.
I absolutely enjoy it. The author accounts Freddie Mercury's life with affection, respect and sensitivity. Heaps of little anecdotes some made me laugh out loud. Interviews with Freddie's real friends and colleagues. Also, affectionate memories from Montserrat Caballé.
A great find from my local library.👍👍

Typical lazy biography, no footnotes or attributions, pays too much attention to trivial things and misses the really interesting questions.
