I went to bed thinking about it, and woke up wanting to read it.
From the get go, its all too obvious that from the very first moment Will meets Ruby, he is hooked and very much in love with her. Ruby knows she is gorgeous and destined for big things. She also plays a part in helping Will to realize that he is also destined for greatness too and that's when the journey begins.
Sometimes I feel because this book is not a long story, it felt like some parts flew too fast like the book is basically a memoir of sorts rather then a story. Some parts did flow and are personal then just like that half a year has gone and the impersonal touch left.
In all I absolutely adore the story plot. It's full of drama and is quite the roller-coaster ride. At one stage I did start to feel like it was all about Ruby. I also wanted to know what was going on with Will. How does he feel? What's going on inside his head? His life? You do eventually get MOST of the answers about his life, thoughts and aspirations.
This book was above everything very addictive. I found that I couldn't stop reading it until I got to the very end. And when I did get to near the end. I got a metaphorical blow to my insides.
Beautifully complex and irrevocably heartbreaking. This is a must read for music lovers and romantics especially but you may like it if you also want to read something a little different.
I give this a 5 because I could easily reread this book again and again. Mostly the message of the story resonated with me and the main relationship centered around the story made me think of the love between my fiance and me. I'm not a soppy person really but this story was very beautiful and I reccomend the read. If it was a physical copy, I would add it to my shelf to reread for many years to come.
