A highly inaccurate vision. A grumpy writer. And a corpse. Welcome to Starry Falls. Running from the mob can be murder.
Confession. I’m no psychic. But I can sort of see the future—albeit not accurately. And you better believe, I’ve never let that little detail stop me from prognosticating my way into a pickle. So when I ticked off the mob, the feds, and my wily ex, I decided to take my Uncle Vinnie’s advice and start over with a new name and new hair color while relying on my old shtick—getting my visionary wires crossed and putting myself in danger.
Something wicked this way comes. Opal volunteers to turn the manor into a haunted mansion for the entire month of October in hopes to turn a dollar, but the spooky festivities soon take on a haunted life of their own when a real corpse shows up at the scene.
Shep and I take on a life of our own as well, and a special guest from my past conjures up before me. Something tells me making it through this month of horrors will be murder.
Living in Starry Falls is proving to be deadly.

These books are all starting to feel the same, just a different murder to solve. There's no growth with the main characters and the same OW drama I've grown sick of.
Maybe I'll pick up the next book after I've read some others.
Bowie is helping Opal make money by opening her haunted manor for a month for Halloween. Bowie is still thinks about Shep and their moment before. Things seem to moving a direction she likes. She is confronted by Regina about her and Shep. Bowie tells Shep about it makes him promise not to start anything. She is also trying to keep an eye on her sister. She can't believe that she is here and is after that it will draw attention to her. Bowie and her sister both a vision of the same moment, they decide to see if they can find anything. Bowie enlists the help of Shep to keep an eye out. Bowie decides to check a certain location. She comes across her sister and body. She gets her sister out but other find Bowie standing there. Bowie decides that she will investigate the murder as she can't go down for this. Bowie with help of others will track down leads and see where they go. Bowie will also work together with Shep interviewing different suspects. They all lead to more questions. Bowie is having more visions plus more traits come out. Bowie will have to figure out what to do about the murder, Shep, her secret and everything.
This was a well written story, that takes you away from everything for a while. You have a cast of characters that will attract different people. The murder mystery, fun and sarcasm of the characters, dash of romance. I recommend reading this book/ series

Bowie is involved into making Halloween at the Mortimer House the best ever! The manor is turned into a haunted mansion for the entire month, complete with a bar and dancing on the main floor, a haunted house on the top floor, and carnival games outside. The first night tragedy strikes and there's a murder. Bowie gets to work trying to solve this murder. Helping her is the crazy duo of her sister Stephanie and her friend Tilly. The places they try to find clues include the Bounce House, no, not at all for kids, and the Pumpkin Patch where flying pumpkins get dangerous. Bowie has been transmundane all her life. Her paranormal power is that she sees visions of the future. The only problem is they're out of context and lots of times don't mean what she thinks they do. Then suddenly, one night at the event Bowie sees a ghost, and it's the recently departed victim! It seems like her powers are growing! Also growing, is her relationship with Shep, a mystery writer. Things are getting very cozy between them. I love this book and the whole series. I recommend that you read the series but each book can be read as a standalone too.

A Haunted Hallow-whiskers is the fourth book in the Meow for Murder series. Although this is part of a the Meow for Murders series it can be read as a standalone with out the feeling of being lost in the storyline. Bowie is on the run from her past when her car breaks down on the edge of Starry Falls. She has now been in Starry Falls for a while, she has a job a place to live. Bowie is also more worried that she will be found by the feds or the mob since her sister has found her and is staying with her. But it is almost Halloween and she is bound to make good on the holiday and find a way to make a profit off it. But little does she now it will have a deadly opening night. Bowie and her sister are the two that find the body, but since Stephanie “Lola” doesn’t have id with her fake identity Bowie sends her back to the cottage to hide from trouble. The more Bowie gets to know all of the possible suspects the more she is struggling with who the guilty party is. As everyone seems to be so nice. But once she discovers the true identity of the killer you might be as shocked as Bowie is.
Bowie Binx is helping Opal earn some more money by making Halloween at the Mortimer House the best ever! For an entire month, the manor will become a haunted mansion featuring a bar and dancing, a haunted house on the top floor, and various carnival games outside. But unfortunately, murder happens on the first night!
Bowie jumps right in to solve the murder, along with her sister, Stephanie, and friend, Tilly. Bowie will also accept Shep’s help with interviewing different suspects. Bowie’s supernatural gift is that she sees visions of the future, but she often misinterprets what she sees. When Bowie sees a ghost, it's the recently departed victim! Are her powers growing? Is this something new? She also feels like her relationship with Shep Wexler, a mystery writer, is making some progress. Will they solve the mystery and find the murderer?
This was a fun book with good characters that bring the reader into the mystery. Grab your copy and see how it all works out for Bowie who tends to attract more than her fair share of trouble!
It is October and Opal decides to decorate the manor up and have fun for the month to raise as much money as she can. It is a great time until Bizzy finds a body yet again. Of course, it does not seem to slow down things at the manor. Everyone is enjoying all of the fun things going on there. Bizzy, her sister, and Tilly are on the hunt to find the murder while Shep tries to keep Bizzy safe and also do his job of finding the murderer himself.
During all of this Bizzy gets a new power. Boy is it a fun one and she is so freaked out by it in the beginning. I am sure that she will get used to the new power she has and will learn to have it help her out in any future craziness she might find herself in. OH, and did I mention things change with her and Shep???
I really enjoy reading this series and the characters in these books are so much fun to read and enjoy them and all of the fun times they get into.

This series is so entertaining. The characters are intriguing and complex, the story is well written and the plot keeps the ball rolling. The Dynamic Duo, Addison Moore and Bellamy Bloom, has once again brought us a story filled with magic, suspense, danger, mystery, a few fun moments and even a bit of romance.
In this addition of the Meow for Murder series it's Halloween season and Bowie Binx has transformed Mortimer Manor into a festive Halloween bonanza. With a bar, music, dancing, games and even a haunted house, it's sure to be a riotous good time for anyone who loves Halloween. At least, it would have been if someone hadn't been murdered on the first night of business. Now, Bowie, along with her visions that are often unreliable and her posse, jumps right in to find the murderer. Will Bowie and company be able to find the perpetrator before another crime is committed? You are gonna have to read to find out. :)
I was so excited to jump back into Starry Falls, with Bowie Binx and her undependable open for interpretation visions. As expected I couldn’t put it down! With convincing Opal to turn the manor into a haunted house, never did the expect to have a real dead body on their hands, and a more ghostly time than expected. Addison and Bellamy bring us into a world that you can easily imagine being in, I find that slip right on in and I literally laugh out loud so many times. The characters are so easy to like, or dislike, or even maybe pitty a little. Let’s not forget the cats, I so badly want to go to Starry Falls just for the cats! All in all this was an excellent addition to the series. It can be read alone but where is the fun in that If you don’t know if all my friends. So I highly suggest you put this one down and go right on out and find the first one. Trust me it’s worth it!!! **i received a copy free from Booksprout, this is my own views and freely given
With this next installment of Meow for Murder, it's October and the best time of year to throw a month long Halloween-fest at the Manor. Bowie and her sister have a joint vision about having blood on their hands. As usual, even trying to stop the vision from coming true proves to be useless, and another murder happens at the Manor.
Bowie, her sister, Tilly, and Shep all have to work fast to find the murderer, but something weird happens with Bowie's powers... she gains a NEW power!!
This series is so fun. I love all the characters, the story lines, everything!! I highly recommend reading this!!
Bowie, as you may know from previous books in the series MEOW FOR MURDER; has visions of the future occasionally, but usually just short glimpses, not a full vision. On opening day of the Haunted Mansion, a month-long event she organised for Halloween at Opal's mansion to bring money to both of them, she finds a body. Murders need to be solved and Bowie, with the help of her sister Stephanie and Trudy is at it again. A romantic interest brings a small distraction to the investigation. Bowie and her friends are an eccentric lot and always good for some humorous reading. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Bowie/Stella is still having trouble with her sister, Lola/Stephanie, not playing her identity game seriously. But that just makes the book better! Regina is still the hateful, spiteful, shrew and I love what happens with her. It was so much fun! And Bowie’s abilities are getting stronger and morphing! It’s so cool! Of course we have the growing, um, tension, between Bowie and Shep. So romantic! Of course there is a murder to solve too. That, along with everything else that is happening is why I couldn’t put this book down!

This book is what I wish all cozy mysteries were like; it kept me guessing and it kept me laughing. And that may have been the secret to why it kept me guessing. I was so distracted by the wacky shenanigans Bowie got herself involved in that I was unable to hang on to the main thread of the mystery. But that’s okay because it kept me thoroughly entertained and I kind of hate that the book’s over already. I can’t wait to get my hands on the next one. I received a complimentary advanced copy of this book through Booksprout.
It's October in Starry Falls but Bowie Binx doesn't need any help in the spooky department. She and her new to town sister Stephanie/Lola have a double vision about another murder. Murder should be strange enough but stranger things are happening more and more around Bowie since her sister has been in town. She's dealing with the possibility of her transmundane powers growing and trying to hide her status from Shep (her hot landlord/main squeeze) and of course she is always up for helping with the investigation to solve the murder! Things are getting crazy but I love it!
A month long haunted house. A mystery writer. A murder. A transmundane woman running from the mob and the feds? If you're in Starry Falls it's not just your usual October, celebrating Halloween. It's the real deal for Bowie Binx, a.k.a.Stella Santini. Her transmundane abilities seem to be growing, and so does the body count! Bowie has a visit from a family member and fears the mob and feds are right behind. It will take help from Shep, Tilly, and her family member to help solve a murder before Bowie winds up as the next victim.
Bowie has organized a month long haunted house at the Mortimer Mansion, much to Opal’s delight. Her sister’s presence complicates her life, which now includes a beginning relationship with Shep. She’s asked by Miggy to convince him to speak about his writing with her Coffee Klatch. However, one of the book club members is brutally murdered. Her suspicion lands on a friend, and she must wade through clues and suspects to find the truth. I enjoyed this mystery, and especially the witty writing style.

Bowie gets a sense before something sinister happens. She is helping Opal by opening the manor for a month for Halloween. She also happens to be in hiding, but her sister is now in the town she is hiding in. Thank goodness she has a new name and ID etc. Shep is a dective that she is falling in love with, but he has a crazy ex that is claiming him still. When the sisters have the same vision they work together to solve the crime, but will they get in trouble in the process? A cute murder mystery, with memorable characters. I will definitely read the others in this series.
Bowie Binx has encountered a fate worse than discovery by the mob: sister Stephanie aka Lola is camped put in her couch
Sparring spirits, missed mischievous intent, romance interrupted and a bit of literal blood on her hands - not out of the norm for a seer who would love to give away her gift
More fun ahead as she tries to keep things non lethal with her sister and romantic with her official new beau
This one just didn't do it for me. After starting it, I realized that I've felt the same about previous books before. I think these are probably wonderful for some readers, but I do think that (based on the language/sentence structure, etc.) they will probably appeal a bit more to a younger crowd. I ended up DNFing it, simply because I wasn't fond of the style. I'm sure the stories are great, and I think everyone should give them a chance, but it didn't work for me, personally.
Interesting series. I was introduced to this book not at the beginning of this series but as a single book included in a box set for Halloween. However it still shown through with the author's true style and appeal to me as did the entire murder in the mix series. And I am glad to have another series to spin off to now. Hope you will also enjoy it! Give it a try!
Bowie Binx is at it again. After there is another murder she can't help but try to solve it. This time she has her sister Stephanie to help. Or is she? How will having Stephanie around effect the growing relationship she has with Shep? Will her secret get out? You have to read to find out. I love this series!
Oh Bowie.... This book is a masterpiece!! Addison and Bellamy NEVER fail me!! And they always leave me hanging! Starry Falls is in for a while lot of crazy this go around!! Ghost included! Happy Hallow-Whiskers is the perfect Halloween book, or ya know, just perfect year round!! Join Bowie, Shep, Tilly and the crew for an unforgettable adventure!!
Bowie has convinced Opal to have a haunted house for all of the month of October to make money. Opal used to be rich until swindled by her ex-husband. Now she is trying to recoup. Bowie is the daughter of a Mafia cleaner who is running from the mob and the Feds. She helps solve a murder and also falls for a detective/writer of detective stories.
Always good reading around a holiday especially Halloween! Interesting and entertaining characters in a good whodunnit. Lots of twists and turns. Keeps you guessing until the end. Easy to read and would recommend. Good read.

Nothing like a good Halloween time murder mystery. Opal with the help of Bowie working on turning the Mortimer House into a haunted attraction to make a buck, ends up not completely working as planned. This is cute story i a great series that keep you coming back for the next read. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Stella/Bowie's sister, Stephanie has moved in with her and is making herself very much at home in Starry Falls, even dating Mud, the odd jobbs man at the Manor. Although Stella loves her sister, Stephanie has loose lips and is letting out too much information. I can see the mob showing up in the future!
This is the first book by Addison Moore that I have read; I should have started with the first--though I had no trouble keeping up. The blurb is enough to get you started. I enjoyed the characters and want to begin at the start to know them better. Over all this is a light paranormal read, perfect for an afternoon.
Blake continues her skills for making money for her and Opel. We meet her younger wilder sister, which means she is afraid the feds or mob will find her. The murder investigation not only leads to other cluues, but also an increase in her supernatural ability.
This series just keeps getting better. I loved the Halloween theme, and the attention to detail when describing the scenes. It added more spookiness to the atmosphere, and has me even more excited for Halloween. I'm really liking Bowie and Shep's relationship. Their flirty banter reminds me of myself and my husband, which helps me feel more connected to the characters. I really appreciated the mystery in this one. It was an ending I should have saw coming, but didn't. I like being surprised like that. I can't wait to see what's next.
This is another cozy mystery by Addison Moore. In this series the main character Stephanie goes by the alias of Lola because she is hiding from the mob. She is able to "see things" about the future and also has the ability to see ghosts. She works at a manor house where the owner plans to celebrate Halloween the whole month. A quick, cute read!
I just love the characters in her books. They are spunky, outrageous and totally likeable. It us the second one by her I have read and both were really good.
