Excellent, Should be read by every citizen.

This book punctures several persistent myths:

From these pages, the inescapable truth is that George Washington was a very committed Christian and not a deist.

He was also an abolitionist, expressing his aversion to slavery and freeing his own slaves in his will, while making provisions for their education, vocational training and religious training in his last will and testament.

Excellent. Should be read by every citizen of the USA.

This book is less a biography and more a focused defense that George Washington was a Christian. The author of this 1919 text did use numerous sources and quoted from Washington's writings as well as extensively from the writings of others.
