Kaboomer: read this book for your daily dose of inspiration

This book was an incredible resource to anyone looking to improve their lifestyle; whether it be for sleep, exercise or even changing your mindset.
It isn't just for boomers quickly approaching 90s, it's a motivational read for ANYONE looking to have their lifestyle positively impacted.

I just recently got back into running, (quarantine fitness, woohoo!), but I was hitting that wall of "I'm not seeing any changes, I'm tired and I don't feel like running anymore" and then this book practically falls into my lap. A few paragraphs in, and I'm waking up at 6am to get an early morning run in before work. 100 pages in and I'm running like I'm back on my high school track team. Now, I'm currently training for a 5k race.

I'm not saying this book will make you into a marathon runner.. (it might, though), but it did give me the motivation to keep going, to enjoy the run, to be the best you, for you.

Highly recommended, David Frost has done the appropriate research to write an informative, motivational and enjoyable book. I can't say I read a lot of nonfiction books, but I DID particularly enjoy this one.
And nooo... it wasn't JUST because of the Bruce Springsteen references... there were Star Trek ones too!

You can tell by the title and the cover that this is not going to be your average health book. It's goofy and maybe a tiny bit cringe-y like any good 'dad joke.' But it is chock full of great information on nutrition, exercise, science and above all motivation. Why just be a Boomer when you can be a Kaboomer and live your later years explosively full of health and vitality? You can't help but be caught up in the authors enthusiasm and impressed by the information.

This one's motivating and enlightening and perfect for anyone who needs to be cajoled into making the changes that will help them thrive in health and mobility as they age.

There are two sorts of individuals on the planet, the people who are more seasoned and those might want to be. David's book, KABOOMER, focuses a splendid light on a naming framework that influences everybody on the planet. He checks out the language of ageism, the real factors of maturing and mental sharpness (there are a few amazements there), and how this effects medical care, physical and mental.

I enjoyed this book significantly more than I was hoping to. This book difficulties large numbers of the generalizations we partner with elderly folks individuals en route, yet I'm not going to rehash these in any profundity. Luckily, it's anything but a book that says that you don't need to develop old, or that there are sorcery pills or an activity standard or set or strict convictions that will stop you developing old. The guidance is obviously superior to that.

The book KABOOMER is carefully explored and entirely meaningful while as yet being abrasive and instructive. In the days since I completed it, I've been seeing my own mentalities and my general surroundings in an entirely different manner. The book resembles an aide for exploring the second 50% of life. David Frost has done us a colossal assistance recorded as a hard copy this book. I got it in soft cover so I could allude to it, dogeared and featured, for quite a long time to come.

"Kaboomer: Thriving and Striving into your 90s" penned by the author David Emerson Frost is a must read guide that will coach the readers towards a healthier lifestyle.

In this book, readers will find tips to improve their health and longevity. One could find tips related to increasing or building stamina, the importance of strength, accident insurance, managing stress, sleeping 7-8 hours per night, eating right, etc.

"Eat Clean = Live a longer, fuller, happier, better, more productive, more meaningful Life!"

I started my fitness journey in April 2021. I agree with the tips the author has mentioned in this book for longevity and reducing body fat as I have tried many of them personally and could see the results.

“Keep a water bottle handy at all times.”

There are various images in the book that will help the readers to relate better to the text. Cover photo of the book is nice and the title couldn't have been more appropriate. This book is a wake up call for readers to realize that fitness and eating right matters a lot. So, one should start their KABOOMER journey today. Writing style of the author is nice. It is an insightful book that everyone should go ahead with.

Anyone who is looking for lessons to live a longer life should get their hands on this book.

There are two kinds of people in the world, those who are older and those would like to be. David’s book, KABOOMER, shines a bright light on a labeling system that affects everyone on earth. He looks at the language of ageism, the realities of aging and mental acuity (there are some surprises there), and how this impacts health care, physical and mental.

I liked this book much more than I was expecting to. This book challenges many of the stereotypes we associate with old people along the way, but I’m not going to restate these in any depth. Fortunately, it isn’t a book that says that you don’t have to grow old, or that there are magic pills or an exercise routine or set or religious beliefs that will stop you growing old. The advice is much better than that.

The book is meticulously researched and very readable while still being trenchant and informative. In the days since I finished it, I've been seeing my own attitudes and the world around me in a whole new way. The book is like a guide for navigating the second half of life. David Frost has done us a huge service in writing this book. I bought it in paperback so I could refer to it, dogeared and highlighted, for years to come.

😶‍🌫The book " Kaboomer: Thriving and striving into your 90s " is a frictional read by the author David Frost. The author is an NFPT- certified Master Fitness Trainer, a rowing coach, champion competitor, and award-winning adjunct professor. This book is full of useful information on staying healthy and in shape. It talks about all the necessary things which are required to live a better life say it exercise, sleep, diet, etc. Age is just a number which doesn't define your ability to do and achieve things. This book is for all ages. The earlier you start the better it is to start improving your life. It's really helpful for each and everyone. Do read this book to know more in detail. The language used is simple and easy for anyone to understand. The writing style is quite impressive along with the usage of good words. The narration done by the author is flawless and smooth throughout till the end. Highly recommended to all. The cover looks simple yet so eye-catchy. Also, the tittle suits perfectly. The book contains around 300+ pages which I completed reading this book in just a day. I totally loved it. And would love to re-read it again and again.

I kept starting and stopping this book and for the longest time I wasn't sure why. At first I wondered whether it was because it's not story-based, either at the book or chapter level, though there are brief anecdotes in places.

Last week I realized that whenever I picked it up, I was amazed. I have never highlighted more passages in a book, not even in school. The book is chock full of information and quotes that together make author's case. The seduction here is less at the level of story and emotion and more at the level of reason and fact, but it's all true, a herculean effort, and an important read

Unlike a lot of books in this category, it doesn't waste your time with a bunch of long-winded stories about the author's granny or whatever. It gets straight to the point and delivers information in a clear and well-organized fashion.

What an eye-opening book! I'll be recommending it to everyone, whether they be younger or older. But we can change things in our own small ways, and it will make a difference!

There is plenty of good information in this tome, if you can persevere through the author's constant attempts to be clever. I'm pretty sure the book could be cut in half, and readers would be much more likely to pick it up. I'm sure he was trying to make the subject matter more interesting, but the style is not to my taste.
It's too bad, because the point that you can still be healthy and vital with just a little extra (and easily manageable) effort is quite important.

Got this as an ARC. This is a self-help book dedicated to keeping boomers healthy, wealthy and thriving. It’s more of book that you open and read through for reference than a cover to cover read. Has quite a bit of knowledge.

His writing style wasn’t for me. I couldn’t get over it. Vast number of attempts to be clever. A lot of buzzwords and acronyms. Could be a good read for others that like his style.

I would say this book is a typical exercise, eat right, don’t stress book written by a fitness trainer. He tries to make it enjoyable and upbeat. Didn’t work for me because although I do understand the benefits of exercise, frankly I’m just not motivated. But if you are then this book will probably be a good read for you.
