A sci fi short

An end of the world short story. Sort of reminds me of Edgar rice Burroughs. I may look for other stories by this author.

First published in Astounding Stories November 1932.

This is basically a story of a battle for civilization, with attention-grabbing characters and creative descriptions of them and scenes. While I enjoyed The Great Dome on Mercury much more by Zagat, “When the Sleepers Woke” was entertaining story about the end of the world nevertheless.
