USA Today Bestselling Author of steamy PNR and fantasy romance.
Ever since my grandmother first handed me a Nora Roberts novel, I KNEW I wanted to write romance.
I love love. Crave it. For me, genre doesn't matter as long as there is a beautifully epic love story woven into the storyline.
Which is exactly why I chose to write across so many genres. Paranormal, fantasy, contemporary, suspense...no matter which of my books you choose you always know what you're getting: a love story for the ages.
And before I was an author, I was a reader! Please be sure to follow me here, or add me as a friend! I love to connect!
Wow! Absolutely amazing!! I loved this book beginning to end. Jessica is such an amazing writer and really pulls readers into the story. This book had everything; magic, action, humor, romance. It was just perfect and has to be my favorite book by Jessica so far! I really enjoyed getting to read about Timothy and Paislee's story and will definitely be reading again soon! 5 stars!!
Wow this book is filled with all the elements of an amazing story. Great characters, tons of action, a body count that wont quit and a ghost. Yup great stuff. This author brings together elements of magic which of course includes the bad and good guys. It's a race to the finish and along the way love and sacrifice. Her past is trying to catch up with her and it isn't even her fault. She can't run forever and Timothy and friends may be her only way out.
I love this book and although this is my first read by this author I truly enjoyed it and will be looking into more of it. This is a great read that doesn't give you the chance to get bored or stray. Awesome sauce
Entertaining premise, fun action, and a wonderful connection between Paislee and Timothy. Both have been through some really trying times and things are still getting in their way, so it’s nice that they can support and rely on each other. Interesting setup for this series; enjoy the curse storyline and the addition of magic elements. Enjoyed it!

Each book I read of Jessica Wayne’s I instantly fall in love with them, I know for a fact that I will keep reading her work as it’s just that mesmerising. This book wasn’t something that I expected Jessica to write, but honestly, I loved how the plot played out and how I was just hooked to the story from the very first page. I am seriously hoping that there is going to be another book after this one as I seriously loved the characters. If you’ve not read Jessica’s work, then you seriously need to change that as she is such an awesome writer.
Timothy has only ever looked forward with his life if it only meant him finding out about as many artifact’s as he can, he refuses to fall in love again after the very last time… when a curse got put on him, however his life is about to take a turn after one brutal stabbing…. His life is never the same, but maybe it’s time to start living his life again…..
I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review. This was an incredibly fun mix of fantasy, magic, and romance. The main characters, Timothy and Paislee, had fascinating backstories. I enjoyed learning bits and pieces of their pasts as the plot progressed and I loved the way the flashback scenes were written. There was a lot of action and all kinds of surprises. It was more exciting and darker than I had thought it would be, which was great.
Ahh! This book was so great. I don’t read fantasy very often but I felt like I understood everything going on in the story. I was surprised at the amount of deaths and suspense in this story and it make me not want to put it down!! I love all the small details in the story that all connect in the end. I will definitely be reading more of Jessica’s books!
Seriously, the writing in this book was so over the top remarkable. There truly are not enough words to describe everything. The story alone? Holy cow, Jessica Wayne is a phenomenal writer, but this story blew everything out of the water. I was not expecting the level of sensationalism that this was. Going in Timothy's story was so sad, and I felt like he was so cheated. But the twists and turns and highs that this story went through just to bring him to Paisley was astounding and then from there on. The mystery!!! Something Wayne seems to be able to pull off so flawlessly. With getting so much emotion thrown in there. I feel like I'm along for the ride living along with these characters as their story plays out. There is so much chemistry with these characters, not just in the romantic way, and noy just the main characters. I really enjoy when you get to see the stories build and unfold with other relationships involved and how they intertwin.
Collateral Damage by Jessica Wayne is an awesome story to read. This is book number two in this awesome series that I have loved reading and have been hooked on this whole series since the beginning. I highly recommend this story to everyone who loves reading about fantasy romance.

This is book two of the Tethered series and sees the main character Paislee Adams, still trying to avoid the assassin of the man who kept her imprisoned since she was a child, Malcolm Gentry. Gentry took her from her brother Zeke’s care and got him snagged on drugs, whilst using Paislee for her magic, which she never even knew she had! He made her do lots of horrible things, even killing his enemies or anyone that failed to do as he requested. She had finally managed to escape his clutches and has been living off the grid and in a grotty looking apartment, where the landlord accepts cash and no id. She has been using the local library to try and find anything on magic and how to actually control her magic, before she hurts anyone else, but she is quite happy to use it against Gentry if she gets the chance!
She has been pawning off items she stole from his home and all she has left is a painting, but her usual pawn broker won’t accept it unless she gets it authenticated and suggests an antique dealer on the other side of town. It is late at night when she gets there and the shop is closed, but she wanted to scope out the building and shop, before coming back the next day. As she is standing in the shadows, she hears a gunshot and goes running to the alley beside the building to see who is hurt. A man has been shot in the gut and she recognizes the assassin who fired the gun, as working for Gentry. Timothy McGinley owns McGinley Antiquities and has lived quite a long time, due to a curse placed on him by a witch trying to save her brother and his love. He has a massive secret, which only his head of security, Ashton Hamilton, knows the truth of. Why Gentry targeted him is unclear.
Paislee’s uncontrollable magic enables her to knock the assassin away from Timothy, and she tries to heal him, like she did as a child to a dog Gentry killed in front of her. She uses so much magic that she wears herself out completely and it is a healed Timothy that lifts her up and takes her up to his office at the top of the building. Timothy has closed himself off from others over his long life and after losing the love of his life, has never loved another. He hasn’t lived as a monk, but he doesn’t allow himself to get attached to anyone. Not even his bubbly and lovely secretary Jess, who is clearly in love with Ashton. He has a new shipping manager in Jake, who works on all their new shipments of artifacts with him. Timothy can tell which items are real, having handled many before, and their true value. He decides which items to place in his auction or sends them back to the shipper. Timothy seems quite scary to Paislee, with a darkness hidden deep within him, possibly from the suffering of his past. She is really chatty and always asking everyone questions, whilst he is normally very quiet and keeps himself isolated. What Gentry wants with him will soon become clear, as he calls to arrange a meeting to discuss antiques with Timothy, but it’s just a ruse to see if he still bleeds!
Both Paislee and Timothy are in danger from Gentry and those who work for him. He has insider information on Timothy and somehow knows a lot of his secrets. An attack at the core of his business and home, leaves Timothy finally going back to his birthplace in Ireland, for assistance from his childhood friends. Paislee needs a lot of training in how to control her magic and those he has brought her to, are the ideal people to help her. They have to go back, but not before Timothy takes Paislee to the grave of his wife Cait. Paislee is visited by her ghost after Timothy storms off after yet another argument between the two, and is given some advice on loving him and giving him time to be ready for all the changes in his life. Gentry is planning to come for Paislee and he has an artifact that he uses to drain magic users of all of their magic, and plans to get as much from her as possible in his plot to gain ultimate power over all. One of Timothy’s old friends has come back with them from Ireland, and they will soon have a face off against Gentry and his wife, which will lead to a deadly outcome for some. A great conclusion to this interesting story which spans many years and reunites old friends from the first book, in a search for a solution to bring down a power hungry tyrant . Bits of romance and long-time suffering, along with changing attitudes and dangerous magic. I received an ARC copy of this book from BookSprout and I have freely given my own opinion of this book above.
This is the second book in the Tethered series, but is a standalone read. The main character is a young witch called Paislee Adams, who was taken from her brother Zeke when she was twelve years old, by an evil moan who wanted the powers she possessed, but which she didn’t even know about at that age. She was used by this man in lots of horrific ways, made to do things against her will and use her magic for his own purposes. She finally managed to escape after over a decade and has lived a life of hiding and just scraping by, while trying to research magic and find out about her powers, with hope of being able to control them. She tries to pawn the last of the goods she stole from the man who kept her captive and is sent to an antiques shop, McGinley Antiquities, to have it valued first. This leads her to meet a man who hates witches and wants nothing to do with one. Unfortunately, she came to his rescue, while casing out the shop and ends up using too much magic and collapses. He ends up taking her into his office and having to look after her.
His name is Timothy McGinley and he has an instant attraction to her, she looks so much like the woman he loved and lost almost two hundred years ago. He has a painful past, having been cursed and made into an immortal as a side effect to his friend’s use of magic to save her own brother. He hasn’t allowed himself to love anyone else after losing the love of his life and he has never returned to the country of his birth since. Paislee recognized the gunman outside the shop and he is one of her captive Malcolm Gentry’s assassins. She cannot leave the apartment on the top floor of the shop, in case any more of Gentry’s men are watching the shop. Why Timothy was targeted is a problem that needs to be solved. It seems that he has a lot more secrets he is hiding and his immortality is the biggest.
Paislee and Timothy have been thrown together by fate and must work out what Gentry wants with both of them and work out how to stop him. He is after Paislee for her powers, which they already know, but he has much bigger plans than for her and for ultimate power and control! What he wanted from Timothy is possibly a connection to the antiques he receives from many sources, as Gentry continues to search for some highly powered magical items, to ensure his plans come to fruition. It seems Gentry is an enemy to both of them and they will be stronger together, is Timothy can get over his absolute hatred of all witches. He will have to face his past and Paislee must learn to forgive herself for all the horrible things Gentry forced her to do, whilst she was a child.
This is a fascinating story about an untrained yet powerful witch and an immortal who never wanted to be one. One has spent their short life trying to escape and have a life of their own and the other spent a couple of hundred years trying to die, before finally finding a new reason to live. A very different look at a magical world, immortality and the evil that some will do to obtain power. I loved the relationships between Timothy and some of his trusted employees. Resolving matters from the past rounds off the book well as well as a good touch of romance. I received and ARC copy of this book from BookSprout and I have freely given my own opinion of the book above.
This is a fast paced, great story line and good characters. Paislee is a powerful witch on the run. She escaped a mad man, abused, hurt, used and kidnapped her. She needed money to run from him she goes to get a painting authenticated. When she goes to check it out she saves a man in a ally. She learns that the man she saves is the owner of the business she was checking out. She finds that she is drawn to Timothy. Timothy seems to be drawn to her also. Paislee is having trouble with her magic. They must stop the mad man from his plan and in the same time keep Paislee away from him. Will Paislee be able to control her magic? Will she lose her magic along with her life? Will she lose someone close to her? Will Timothy be able to protect Paislee? Will they be able to stop Malcom? Will they act on there feelings for one another?

The story pulled me right in and gave me all the emotions, action, and so much more. I can't wait for from this author.
Our heroine is not sure if our hero will be a solution to her problem or just more of the same. But does she have a choice but to try?
This is book two of the series. It works pretty well as a standalone, but you will be missing out on a little of the background. Your choice as to whether to start here or at the beginning.
This is an urban fantasy story. The story is very well written and easy to read with an action filled plot that keeps things moving along. The characters are well developed and the setting is nicely detailed. This one has a plot that starts pretty quickly and doesn't slow down much. It definitely drew me in and kept me turning pages. Overall, it was a highly enjoyable story and I look forward to reading more from this author.
Highly recommended.

This was an incredible book about survival and human compassion. Timothy has been alive for hundreds of years due to a curse that his best friend did on accident. Paislee was just starting in life, after escaping from a mad man. Fate throws them together by chance. Timothy realized that his curse was broken the worst way, he was shot. Paislee could not just let him die, so she ran over to help him the only way she could, she healed him. Now they are thrown together due to circumstances beyond both of their controls. But among the chaos of their lives, they fall in love and realize that life is worth living for. I loved this book and could not put it down.

I loved this work. It was impossible to put down. At first I wasn't sure I was going to read it, but I started it and found it so hard to put down. The plot was fantastic and had a number of twists and turns that had me guessing at times. I enjoyed the characters and loved getting to know them more. I enjoyed it and find myself wanting to read more by this author. This was a great paranormal read that had me on the edge of my seat, wondering if everything was going to be resolved by the end of the work.
I give this a five out of five stars.

Timothy is a man that cannot die. He and Paislee, a sassy witch on the run, work together to find the evil masterminds behind a plot to use Paislee's magic. Although Timothy hates anything magical, when Paislee saves him, he helps her fight against the evil.
There are so many twists and turns to keep this exciting, and the amazing chemistry between the characters keeps the emotions high. The author paints a vivid picture for the reader that brings the story to life. You won’t want to miss this one!
Collateral Damage was a great read! I really enjoyed Timothy and Paislee’s story. Paislee was caged by a madman since she was a child because she was a witch. She eventually escapes and she goes to Timothy’s business to get a painting appraised so she can have money to live off on. Only once she outside the business she ends up saving Timothy’s life and they end up working together to bring down their common enemy. This was a great enemy to lovers, paranormal romance and it was great to see some familiar faces from Tethered Souls.
So I was in between 3 and 4 stars for this as I really did enjoy it ! There was a bit more bye to this book than Tethered. Both Timothy and paislee had a bit more character but it was also nice to go back to Aengus and Abby too. A few small inconsistencies but nothing to ruing the book and a lovely nod to Meg Anne who I absolutely love! Another magical romance and if you like romance you will enjoy this!!
Paisley is being hunted. Timothy has been cursed. These are their adventures. Man I loved this book. It is a powerful story fraught with danger. It is very intense as well. The characters are real. The worldbuilding is amazing. This is a book that I will remember for quite awhile. It definitely made an impression on me.

This is book 2 in the series called Tethered it’s a fast paced story with plenty of action, adventure, suspense, danger, twists and turns, magic, passion and so much more to keep you entertained and turning the pages. I loved the characters, storyline and plot but sorry guys no spoilers so read the blurb and that will give you the gist to this fantastic story and I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read.
Paislee & Timothy's story is filled with hard times by her being stolen & used by a monster. Malcolm wanted everything he could get his hands on including Paislee as her being a witch, having both light & dark magic. My thoughts on this story are that any magic, love, friendships & power should be used wisely & not for the worse. I enjoyed this story & wanted more to happen in it. Thanks Jessica for an interesting series....

Such a great conclusion to the Tethered Duet. I really enjoyed this story and the appearances of Abby and Aengus. Entertainment, drama, romance -absolutely a great combination with Ms. Wayne's writing style. Enjoy!.

I am shocked by all the 5 star reviews. I found this book to be over the top predictable and there were too many times to count where I rolled my eyes thinking “of COURSE he/she just so happened to...”. I was not a fan, and yes, I read to the very end... I can’t NOT finish a book.
I loved this book so much. I loved getting to know Timothy and Paislee. I know that I will keep reading anything by Jessica Wayne because she is amazing writer and she pulls you into the story and keeps you there until the end wanting more.
I love this book so much!! I went through so many different emotions with Timothy and Paisley!! Sadness for what she went through, my nerves were going crazy with the battle and happiness with the HEA!!!
