My name's Noah Kilmartin. I'm from Ruddock, Ohio, and I'm just about 50% unqualified to save the universe from the slavering demonic hordes of the super evil bitch queen Lilith.
But just when I thought things were starting to look up...
My companions and I arrive in Tagimron, the sphere of discordance. It's a hellscape on wheels, and every aspect of this claustrophobic and grimy world is intent on tearing my companions and I apart. Our only chance of resisting corruption and failure is to hold fast to the bonds that unite us, the love and faith that keep us strong.
But Tagimron is a world designed to exploit our greatest weaknesses, to weaponize our fears, doubts, and traumas. As perilous as our foes may be, the greatest danger in this sphere may very well be ourselves.
Wish me luck. We're all going to need it.
Warning and minor spoilers: "The Manifold" is an 18+ book intended for mature readers. It contains graphic sex and copious amounts of medieval violence.
A great book, but a difficult read in parts. I won't spoil things but it gets pretty dark for good stretches; any more than it was I likely would have given it up for being too bleak.
Your tolerance of depressing stuff may be higher than mine, but it's not escapism if it makes me feel worse than real life does. Still, excellently written as I expect from the author, and I care about the characters. That latter bit is part of what made it so hard to read when things got really bad.
If you like Mike Truk's books and/or have followed this series to this point you should check this out. If the bits in the middle bum you out, things do get better.
Now this is how a character is supposed to grow!!!! The amount of change that happens to Noah from the 2-3 book is absolutely insane! Instead of being a man in over his head, barely maintaining his sanity by depending on those around him Noah has become a force to reckon with! Leading his team through the realm of Tagimron and helping his companions overcome their worst fears he proves not only to his friend but to himself that the Source wasn’t wrong by choosing him to be The Savior! This book is a mixture of perfect storytelling, despair, love, trials, tribulations, and intense sex! CAN NOT WAIT for the next installment!!!

Absolutely love this series! I honestly can not get enough. The Manifold picked up right where Hindering Ones left off and brought our heroes new challenges. The best part is we got more of their back stories and got to see them grow into who they are now. I loved it. Can't wait for the next book and dreading when the series ends.
Mr. Truk has again produced an excellent episode in the series and, of course exceeded my expectations. I will be waiting impatiently for the next book. Thank you for a job well done sir! Read these books you will enjoy them. Warning: explicit violence and sex.
Absolutely amazing read. Few books have ever had me so absorbed in the adventure and every step along the way. Every point in the book is crucial and exciting. Instant buy.
Mike Truk is at the top of his game with this series and really everything he has written so far. These books are head and shoulders over everything in the KU right now. There’s not even anything to compare it to.
Dog damn it Mike you're not allowed to improve this much since the last book, I'm pretty sure you're breaking some kind of author skill progression universal law
Wow, great book if you like the first 2. An easy 4 stars, maybe even 4.5. I love these type of books and this author does such a great job with them. This one was epic in the length and scope that the author took on. Very long but I love almost every min of it. This type of book is not for everyone with all the adult situations but If you liked the first two then I can't see how you would not like this one. Great job Mike Truk, it must have taken you forever to write all of this but it sure was worth it in the end with such a great book to your credit.
I've said previously that this isn't a genre I'm particularly fond of and I bought all 3 in a special offer without reading the full blurb with the 18+ warning, only the initial blurb and 4+ averages here on GR.
I think Mike Truk is really beginning to excel with this series - I read somewhere that he initially started trying to write epic fantasy but received constant poor feedback and eventually decided to write something 'fun' instead. This presumably explains why we now have a strong plot arc and serious character development, not only of the MC and the secondary partners, but also on tertiary characters.
The reason I dropped half a star was due to the partial resurrection of the Five Trials type plot line and while our MC Noah may still appear a bit whiny, for me it's actually endearing that he's playing over things again and, more importantly, learning from his mistakes and growing. He's now developing from the underpowered and overawed character from Five Trials in to the rock on which the team is built.
I do feel that this series would stand up well if the all the sex (aka 'bonding') was either insinuated (it is in places here) or glossed over and I don't think I can offer better praise really.
So, that said, I will definitely be keeping an eye out for the continuing adventures of the 10th Saviour and his trusty companions...
While the idea of heros gets old for some, I'll never tire of it, and this series gives a perfectly imperfect set! Each of the companions have their own hangup and problems, and each one brings something different to this part of the story. Seeing their backstories unfold was awesome, and I can't wait to see how it changes the dynamics!
Cramp cities and vast open trials. New magic as well!
This has been a great addition to the 4T series! At first, I was worried that this would be a rehash of the first book. Instead I got a great deal of insight into the lives of the companions and how they became themselves today. Nice to see more magic in the series as well and from more characters. Great work!
So the realm ourn heroes end up is filled with illusions, lies, and confusion. It certainly felt that way. There was so much going on it kind of felt all over the place at times.
That being said, it had a lot of positives. Even though I had to keep putting it down and taking breaks, there was so much character depth. All the Companions get not only time to shine, but back story and depth.
The fact Noah and Emma didn't anticipate a Total Recall type scenario was also kind of a fail too though...
A few typos that also made me disappointed, this author is normally so much better than that.
Still, for all the faults, pacing and the like, the sheer scope, depth, and development keep me from normally marking it lower. I do hope the author fixes those errors at least at some point and redeems himself in my eyes.
The story is intriguing and extremely dark. The MC is growing into his power but he has a lot of horrible things happen to him. The characters development is heart breaking at times in this book as the characters are shown to be flawed and fragile but at the same time they continue to evolve into the hero's that the universe needs.
The best book in the series yet. An amazing book in terms of emotional ups and downs, the book did not shy away from making the protagonist face and endure extremely brutal scenarios. Could have been a little less graphic in terms of these scenes as they make it really hard to go forward with the book for the light-hearted.
It took Mike a bit to get going, but this book has me hooked the entire time. The story was so much better, sex scenes got and well earned, and the characters growing and developed nicely. The Emma trial was completely predictable, yet still worked perfectly and satisfyingly. I got this and the other first 2 books free, but will definitely be buying into more.
Noah and the girls face unbelievably gut wrenching trials, they are physically and mentally tortured by events in their past. While each of his companions face individual trials but Noah must pass each of the trials with them. Excellent story that explores the depth of the characters souls.
The author has a deep imagination. From the lowest of lows to the highest of highs. Don’t get me wrong, this is a very violent book, & if you are squeamish then tread carefully.
Possibly one of the greatest harem erotica books I've read. So full of intimate character development and realistic, organic connection that it ignites the heart.
Gotta say this first; the beginning was definitely slow. Once you get past that though, hands down best book in the series thus far. The companions get fleshed out a lot more. Can't wait for the next addition.
