This one is great, but do start from the beginning of the series. It's helpful to have all the background. Aside from the time warp book and #5&6 so far my second read through of TBE series is just as enjoyable as the first. It is a pet peeve that the author seems to just quit at the end of each book. It's always so abrupt!
I can not believe that Iron Knife and Summer Sky are dead..... I loved these 2 characters... The kids dint say they were, but it was asummed that they were...... As far as colt his story was good, but they should of told more at the end.......
Georgina Gentry has a love affair with the early, American West. She validates her claim by listing the twenty books she has authored about the native Americans living in those times. The author introduces us to the story with an "author's note" that explores the legend of a survivor from the famous Little Big Horn battle of 1876. One calvary soldier was reported missing.
The author's version of this timeless legend will keep you reading and guessing what comes next throughout the story. Gentry tells a believable story from the viewpoint of a gentleman, who became a calvary officer, and a part Cheyenne-white-Indian girl, whom he captures during a raid.
If you are a lover of early American, western fiction you will appreciate reading this novel.
I enjoyed this book.Well written. Keeps you interested. Georgina is well informed about history of our past.Austin rich goes out west and meets indian girl fell in love.Their son gets hurt ends up with his white grandmother.Meets a white girl who is poor teachers him to be a rich gentleman.
I really love this author and have read a lot of her books and they have all been 5 stars great story lines, action and oh yeah a little smutt but this story just seemed to drag and drag the story was pretty good but I felt like it could have been told in 75 pages or less not one of her better ones . I will keep reading GG.
