Ya know, for a grad school text book this was pretty enjoyable. This collection of anthologies was really impactful and perhaps my favorite section was the "Why We Teach" section. I really enjoyed hearing other people's thoughts on the "why" of teaching. It also felt so energizing, especially with the end of the year drawing nearer, this was a good energizing boost to get me to the end!

I’m not usually an anthology lady, but this was pretty good. The essays that were included were very interesting and definitely highly opinionated. But I enjoyed reading other educators thoughts on the mechanics of teaching and the questions of “why teach.” I can totally see why my prof wanted us reading this text.

Great book

This book is easy to read and all its content really got my attention. It is a requirement for college and I read it all.

This was really a great set of critical essays about the state of education. They are frank and to the point, and really get you to think about what is "right" to do in the classroom and in our schools. Some of the essays are uncomfortable, and "ruffle the feathers"...but in a really good way. Recommend this book for pre- and in-service teachers.
