"Little Fingers!" is the story of the high achieving self-made millionairess, Julia Blackburn, who sets out to hunt down those who drove her mother to suicide. And as she arrives in the village of Hanburgh, she is carrying some pretty heavy psychological baggage, with a history of abuse and torment, and not always as the victim. But is she a killer? That is what Inspector Frampton wants to know as he explores the case of local philanderer, Tom Willows, who has been sliced down the middle of the head with one swipe of an axe. And Julia is only too willing to tell him all she knows, but is what she wants to tell him the truth, a detailed attempt to exculpate herself, or an extended means of torturing the hapless policeman, who was her mother's greatest childhood friend? At its heart, "Little Fingers!" asks the troubled who does the greater wrong - those who ruin many lives with impunity, or those who kill to stop them? Readers have described "Little Fingers!" as being beautifully written, a page-turner, and as containing a marathon of explicit sex. And they say that the ending is "simply brilliant!"

I am a writer, editor and publisher. I have written ten books, the most acclaimed of which are 'The Dance of the Pheasodile', 'Missio' and 'Girl on a Bar Stool'. The least acclaimed is 'Fishing, for Christians' (I still like it), and then there is one in-between 'The Blue Food Revolution' which is me in flat out magical realist mode and which is met with either absolute love or absolute suck-on-the-end-of-this-barrel hatred.

I have allowed my quill to blunt and my inkwell to dry while I run Night Reading (a community for independent authors with 400+ members) and Night Publishing (the associated publishing house with 50+ signed authors).

However, I do have a couple of books planned, so should the Internet go down globally for about 6 months, they will probably get written (so long as there is still electricity - I am not writing them by hand or typing them).

I wasn't sure what to think of this at first. As I got into it, the story just took off. It illustrates how things that happens in a small town go hidden and unspoken. Life goes on, but the damage to the victims is still there. It really takes all the way until the end to wrap up the loose ends.
