Though reincarnated in this new world as a healer, former salaryman Luciel spends his days working at the Adventurers’ Guild, healing injured adventurers and training hard so he doesn’t die as easily here as he did the first time. He’s making good progress in his training and even a few friends, but then he finds out that someone who doesn’t like his reasonable prices has him in their sights!
This is the third manga volume of The Great Cleric, based on a light novel by Broccoli Lion and Hiiro Akikaze. It’s about Luciel, who used to be a salaryman but now he’s a healer in a fantasy world. He trains a lot at the Adventurers’ Guild and meets some new enemies and friends. The manga is funny and easy to read, with nice art and colors. The story has some action, some jokes, and some character stuff.
If you like the light novel series and its other manga releases, you’ll like this volume too. It’s a good read for fantasy and comedy fans.
I keep persisting, but it’s not getting any better. The villain is just too over the top - 30 gold for one treatment? How does that even make sense? “How else can he make a profit?” And he orders his men to kill Luciel openly in front of everyone in the adventurer’s guild…is that not a crime?
I also find it stupid that HQ can summon him and force him to work for them.
The artwork is so-so, rough around the edges and difficult to distinguish between characters, particularly in close up panels.

Finally we get a decent amount of plot movement. Of course, there is still the usuaul world building as well. I can also understand the slow burn in the first 2 volumes much better after reading this one as well. I feel like the next volume is going to be ridiculous now LOL
