In an accident at the summer festival, Yu lost her memories of high school, including her entire relationship with Kurosaki-kun. When Kurosaki-kune worriedly joins the amnesiac her on her summer visit with her parents anyway, Yu finds herself more and more curious... and her attempts to talk to him somehow culminate in a risqué encounter! Not one to be outdone, Shirakawa-kun whisks Yu away behind Kurosaki-kun's back. The two princes' showdown over Yu hurtles toward its finale. Will their friendship survive?
AAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!! Only one more book left!!!! Can he be fully redeemed?!? (For my happiness level, he better, lol!) 4, can’t wait for the ending, stars!

I devoured all 19 volumes of Defying Kurosaki-kun over the last week. This is a beautiful story of Yu and Haruto's relationship as it grows from nothing to sweet romance. Haruto's always been a loner except for Takumi who's been his only friend until Yu comes into his life. The story is about the relationship between Yu and Haruto but Takumi is such a intricate part of the story.
I really loved Yu as a character she's this bright ball of sunshine who's reinvented herself now that she's in high school and growing so much into this character you just cheer on. Haruto is cold and demanding in the beginning but we get to see him slowly start to grow as the series progresses. He builds friendships, reconnects to his family and he learns so show Yu how much she means to him.
I truly enjoyed the series even if I had a few moments where I wanted to reach through the book and stab Haruto for being stupid. it's a whirlwind sweet love story that I'm so sad to see ending. I wish that this series wouldn't have ended because I wanted more of Yu and Haruto's story. I wanted Takumi to find his happy ever after too. I do hope maybe one day we will get more. This is one of my top favorite series. Highly recommend if you are a fan of the grumpy/sunshine trope it fits really well. The artwork is beautifully done. I loved it so much the whole story.
Ok, I skipped to this volume because I thought it was the final. It has some of the most annoying shoujo tropes, including amnesia, weirdly permissive parents, a ditzy heroine, love rivals, a bath scene, and the amusement park. It’s a lot to cram in. She was super irritating, which is one of the reasons I skipped most of the series in the first place. What kind of idiot says that forgetting all her memories it’s no big deal? And then she just lets herself get pulled around by any guy, and falls asleep on his lap? If Shirakawa came by bus, why are they now being chauffeured? It’s all just ridiculous.

Why the heck did Yu’s parents invite Kurosaki over to hang out with them and their daughter WHO DOESNT REMEMBER ANYTHING ABOUT HIM?! And then her mom just pushed her to talk to him? How about letting this girl heal???? And shame on Shirakawa…get a grip please! This girl loves Kurosaki whether she remembers or not so eff off!!!!
But yay.. Kurosaki showed his true feelings.. so sweet but I feel like this series has been dragged out (and over dramatic) that I almost don’t care????
This volume had a really good look into Kuro's heart and I loved it. It actually had me tearing up quite a bit. I'm glad things turned out the way they did in this volume :)
I couldn't put it down and read the series in 3 days It is a beautiful love story not just romance but also friendship Hopefully they will have the remaining books available soon
Desde aquí la historia decayó, ya no fue lo mismo y se hacia aburrido. La historia se sentía forzada y molesta. Además de 0 desarrollo de historia y personaje que era lo inicial de la premisa.
