Timothy Robert Sullivan was an American science fiction novelist, screenwriter, actor, film director and short story writer. Many of his stories have been critically acknowledged and reprinted. His 1981 short story "Zeke," a tragedy about an extraterrestrial stranded on Earth, has been translated into German and was a finalist for the 1982 Nebula Award for Best Short Story. "Under Glass" (2011), a well-reviewed semi-autobiographical short story with occult hints, has been translated into Chinese and is the basis for a screenplay by director/actor Ron Ford. "Yeshua's Dog" (2013) was also translated into Chinese.
Really enjoyed this “V” novel. As a reader we are given one familiar character from LA, with the rest of the cast being new characters. This provides a point of familiarity, while also getting the chance to explore unknown characters. That worked well as anything could happen to the new characters, leaving some mystery to how the story would play out. The writing was not dense, with quick descriptions, and a lightning pace. The plot-driven writing worked well. I found it a compelling and quick read.
Another quick read in the V series. Literally read in about a day. Not great literature but if you like the original NBC TV, V series it is an extremely enjoyable read. I mix these in between my more fleshed out heavier reads
A decent outing, with Willie the only one to show from the main cast. Interesting thoughts on how the aliens' human skins work, and how they operate on Earth without them.
