As corny as this was, I really enjoyed it. It was very "Danielle Steel-esque" but I actually found Stone's writing to be very readable. The plot along with a big cast of characters, was really intricate without being jumpy or difficult to follow. The ending was a bit disappointing. it felt rushed and a very far fetched, but when it comes to romance I guess thats okay.

I did a bit of research about the author and found that apart from being a romance writer, she's had a successful academic career as well. Stone attended Stanford University, where she completed her premed requirements while majoring in English. She received her M.D. from the University of Washington. Following her internal medicine residency in San Francisco, she accepted a fellowship in infectious diseases.
Made me respect the author and the writing in this novel even more
Will definitely be picking up more Katherine Stone.

+ ⭐️: I appreciate how scandalous this was. From Diana to Jeffery to Casey and Patrick, there was a lot to work with. Kept me on my toes for sure.

+ ⭐️: For the amount of characters, plot points, and having to keep everyone together, this was woven together so well. I was able to keep up with 400+ pages of twists and loved it. This is something I admire and plan to use as a reference with character development where the characters are highly interactive with each other through the whole book.

+ ⭐️: Jeffery reaaaaalllly screwed himself over in his whole situation, and I had no idea how Stone would write him out of this one. I liked the full circle and resolution.

- ⭐️: Please, for the love, I need some different terms than “tenderly” and “slowly” for lovemaking. The scenes themselves were written pretty normally, and I understand there was a sense of passion, but I found myself looking at the scenes blandly due to the fact that those were about the only two descriptive words.

- ⭐️: Since this was told in third person, the POV was pretty solid, but there wasn’t a balance of popping into the character’s head with their thoughts. Lots of back and forth of intense emotion, but it didn’t feel balanced to me.

I enjoyed reading this story it shows how important communication is. It would have been nice if Julia was a stronger character but I guess that would have lead to her communicating and changing the whole story.

Take this book on vacation!

Although if you take it on vacation, you might lose precious sleep, play time and the beach because you won’t be able to put it down.

Katherine Stone is one of my long ago go to authors.
I was thrilled to reconnect with her as some of her books have been released on kindle!
I'm not good at writing reviews!
The typing of the e- book version contained mistakes, I'm not one to nit pick, however.
I'd just like to encourage you to give this talented author a try!
She pens some twists and tangles into a happy ending every time.
I AM a sucker for non explicit love stories that are a interesting read and end on a happily ever after key.

i liked it :) not loved it.

a fairy-tale.. if i were Julia, i have ditch Jeffrey a long time, if you love, you trust. if he says he loves you bust doesn't trust you, its not love at all. But you see i'm not julia, her love was strong, she felt pain then joy and they live happily ever after, the end.

Eight people's intertwined lives are used to examine the issues of trust and fidelity in relationships.

This is a reissue of the 1991 book, evidently part of Stone's rewriting and self publication of all 21 of her books. Unfortunately, this book is flawed by poor copy editing.

This book makes me weep :(... I love Julia's character, a good example and model of a brave and loving mother. She never gave up to her dreams and to her love. :)

Pretty typical sappy love story but I did enjoy reading it. Maybe I'm just a sucker for happy endings!
