So if you have a dog, this is a fun read. The illustrations are good. The rhymes work.

Not great rhyming.
Not great rhyming. Some of the pictures don’t match the words, like “roast.” Hard for my 4 year old to catch what was going on.

An awesome book cover, great hand-drawn colored pictures, charming illustrations & proper font & writing style. A very professionally written children’s (preschool/elementary age) Great Dane rhyming storybook. It was quite easy for me to read/follow from start/finish & never a dull moment. There were no grammar/typo errors, nor any repetitive or out of line sequence sentences. Lots of exciting scenarios, with several twists/turns & a great set of unique characters, settings, etc. to keep track of. This could also make another great Great Dane movie, an animated cartoon, or better yet a mini-TV series. There is no doubt in my mind this is an extremely easy rating of 5 stars.

A Silly Milly Christmas is a book that shows all the silly things a dog could get up to during the festive season as we get to experience it through watching a Great Dane called Milly.
It's fun to see all the silly things Milly finds herself doing like getting in the tree or kissing under the mistletoe. The lines in the story are very repetitive with the same few lines being repeated on each page. This is the kind of thing children love as it helps them join in but it does get a bit boring to read after a while.
The illustrations are brilliant and it's great to see through the pictures the silliness and mischief of Milly the Great Dane. The illustrations give a festive feel and are lots of fun to see a dog in the festive season.
This is a great book, it is a bit repetitive but this doesn't take away from the fun of the book. Perfect for dog lovers and a nice Christmas read.

Anyone who has ever had a dog will empathize with Silly Milly and her Christmas antics. Milly is a Great Dane. She can be clumsy and awkward, but she more than makes up for that with her love of life and humans.
Elementary school age readers will laugh as they follow Milly upsetting presents, sampling holiday goodies, slobbering over visitors, and drinking from the toilet bowl.
The illustrations are beautifully done. Rhymes utilize alliteration, repetition and lots of sounds that make this book a joy to read aloud. Children and adults will return to read it over and over.

Silly Milly Christmas
As a parent this is the type of book that would drive me crazy having to read it repeatedly but it’s also the type of book children will love! They will Milly the Great Dane and all the antics she finds herself into but the rhythm if and repetitive lines will drive a parent crazy.

Christmas in July with the Great Dane Milly
Oh this is such fun and with its repetitive limericks something that will delight the young and bring joy and laughter to dog lovers and the young at heart like me. Stunning illustrations. I particularly love when Milly attempts to sing Christmas carols. Pure delight.

Cute story, nice illustrations. There's 2.5 lines are exactly the same on each page. I know repetition is part of the formula for kids books and helps them learn but these were just a lot and felt unnecessary. Then only 2.5 lines that are actually telling the story. If you don't mind the dog being introduced on each page its a good story.

Kept the four year old’s attention

Very cute and funny and sometimes gross (porcelain punch bowl) Milly. The Milly stories are adorable. The illustrations are bright and engaging. The repetition helps young children "read". I look forward to reading more of Milly.

I think this book could have been better. I love the rhymes but I quickly grew tired of the words Willy-nilly. Apparently there’s nothing else that rhymes with Milly? It’s practically the same as the other Milly book.

As with the other Milly book the illustrations make up for what the story lacks. Rating the story alone it would be less than two stars for me. Again there are some reading rhythm stumbles and this time too many phrases like "small talk" and "heavy mug" (tired head) that won't be understood by the picture book crowd. This is free on Kindle Unlimited and was a free ebook today. I wouldn't pay more than 99¢ for the ebook. If you can get it on sale I say go for it!

As a Great Dane owner this definitely holds a special place in my heart! That being said, it's a wonderful book for children of all ages. The rhymes and illustrations keep kids engaged, along with the humor. Excellent book!
