Divorce with a Deadly Weapon!
"A page-turner with a plotted tale of danger, deception, and desire." ~ USA TODAY Bestselling Author Tonya Kappes

A Perfect Wedding
Samantha Starr is planning the perfect wedding. But there's a hitch. Before the fashion-loving librarian can get married, she needs to divorce her childhood sweetheart, Logan Dalton, a man she had thought dead.

A High-Stakes Mission
Security expert and ex-spy, Logan, is working undercover to stop hackers from using a computer virus from attacking the world's computers. Someone has been undermining his mission every step of the way. He's determined to find out who on the inside is helping the criminals. The last thing he needs is a diversion in the form of his long-ago sweetheart, Sam.

A Deadly Combination
Logan has built a life devoid of personal relationships. He likes it that way. Or does he? Having Samantha stumble into the middle of an important mission gives him a glimpse of the life he could have if he'd let his heart lead the way. Finding Logan thrusts Samantha into a world of danger and adventure. Can she walk away from the only man she's ever truly loved and get the divorce she seeks? And will they be able to solve the mystery of who is working against them and stop a computer virus in time to save the world and themselves?

Note: This book is not a cozy mystery. There's romance and adventure peppered in with the mystery and the hero has a tenancy to swear (much to my heroine's chagrin.)

Pseudonym for author Dorothy McFalls

Mystery author Dorothy St. James was born in New York but raised in South Carolina. She makes her home on an artsy island community in South Carolina with her husband, tiny little dog and fluffy cat. Though writing has always been a passion for her, she pursued an undergraduate degree in Wildlife Biology and a graduate degree in Public Administration and Urban Planning. She put her educational experience to use, having worked in all branches and all levels of government including local, regional, state, and federal. She even spent time during college working for a non-profit environmental watchdog organization.

Switching from government service and community planning to fiction writing wasn't as big of a change as some might think. Her government work was all about the stories of the people and the places where they live. As an urban planner, Dorothy loved telling the stories of the people she met. And from that, her desire to tell the tales that were so alive in her heart grew until she could not ignore it any longer. In 2001, she took a leap of faith and pursued her dream of writing fiction full-time.

Ms. Starr’s Most Inconvenient Change of Heart is a delightful read by Dorothy St. James. This is a first in a new series, it is a romantic mystery, not of the cozy variety.
There is some mild swearing.
Samantha is planning the perfect wedding, the only problem is , she needs to get divorced before it can happen, so she sets off to find Logan her long lost ,once presumed dead husband.
I really enjoyed this book, I loved Samantha & Logan, I enjoy their chemistry, and I can’t wait to see what their future holds.

Samantha is getting married and needs to find Logan to sign divorce papers. Samantha and Logan were married as childhood sweethearts when they were sick in the hospital, but Logan didn’t think it was a real marriage. In finding Logan, Samantha gets more than what she bargained for.
The first book in A Raven’s Run Romantic Mystery.
A mystery full of action, intrigue, romance and a hero.
An enjoyable and entertaining read.

A whodunnit plot that keeps you interested from start to finish....I love a good mystery with a little romance. And there was so much I loved about this book. The plot, for one. The characters, for sure. Just when I thought the worst would happen, something else occurred. There really was no dull moment. So much so that it was difficult to not keep reading in one sitting. The main of two drawbacks to my overall enjoyment of this book was a few unnecessary word choices; and by that I mean, the storyline didn’t need anything “extra” thrown in it to grab a reader’s attention. Despite this, I am definitely interested in reading the author’s other mystery books and will be adding them to my TBR lists for future consideration. If you love a fast-paced story of espionage and whodunnit with some romance and desire and a lot of the unexpected, then you’ll enjoy this book.

I saw this listed in a cozy mystery genre, for me its a mystery, not the cozy sort.

Sam has found herself in need of divorce papers being signed before she can marry this really rich man. In the process of getting the signature, she accidentally runs into some pretty shady characters. I really enjoyed the book. The mystery was good and kept me turning the pages to find out exactly what was happening. The romance was good. The characters were well thought out.

Loved it! It is a romantic romp with lots of excitement, mystery, and action. This is a quick read since it is fairly short, concise and a page turner. A computer virus, rather than a murder is the base. Many close encounters involving weapons do occur. I am eager to read the next one in this new series. Thanks to the author for providing a copy for my voluntary review.

Just wonderful!

I've never read a Dorothy St. James book I didn't thoroughly enjoy. Her writing is crisp, her characters fun, the action, exciting, and the heart of the romance is always real. Not to mention, her books are delightfully humorous. Historical, paranormal, or modern romantic suspense, I recommend her books 100%.
