This takes place one year after the previous book, and the main story covers one week. This book has a hurricane warning, wedding drama, a restaurant, and a family home. There is drama that touches every storyline. Some have more than others. Some of it comes from work, and some of it comes from family. It mostly works out in favor of good.
3-3.5 🌟stars After enjoying the first two books in this family saga, I was disappointed with this one. I felt it made the whole adventure end on a sappy, over-wordy whimper. The first third to half of the story was promising, but as the book progressed there was little action and the actual wedding day went on ad nauseum with too much reflection and description.
I liked matriarch Mae, her four children and their children and significant others. Likability and relatability were not an issue. I just felt their story, and the wedding day particularly, could have ended at least one hundred pages sooner and been a more satisfying read. And, at least for me, the introduction of Saiorse into Dominic and Mae's storyline and Oliver's road trip did not do anything for the story.
I read a complimentary copy of the book; this is my voluntary and honest review and opinions expressed are completely my own.
I really liked book 1and 2 but 3 was so disappointing. It felt rushed. I was so looking forward to reading the last book in the series until I find out it’s about Toni not the family. I bought all 4 but now I wish I hadn’t. I read all the others in a day but book 4 it’s been 4 days and I’m on chapter 3? Just wish you had took more time wrapping everything up instead of telling Toni’s story.
3 1/2 stars. There's a wedding, a hurricane on the way, a restaurant opening and an ex in Nantucket. Third book of this series, still a little wordy, some loose threads but nice , enjoyable read.

This is a cute series and I'm enjoying the quick read ... but there is so much reference to eating and drinking ... I am hungry every time I finish another book in the series! LOL

No one knows if the storm will hit Nantucket on schedule or that it will be delayed. Two days before the wedding, Oliver suddenly needs to go to Philadelphia. Will whatever he is doing be worth the trip? Will he be back on time?
I have read each book in the series so far, and I have enjoyed every one of them. The author writes in an engaging, easy style that keeps you flipping the pages until you finish the books. She has created a wonderful cast of believable and likable characters. Over the course of the books, we've seen them have to overcome personal tragedies and issues. This book is a little more tame than the other two. There's not as much conflict and drama compared to the previous books. But I enjoy these characters so much that a victory lap, so to speak, is perfectly enjoyable. Not all, of course, is sunshine and roses, but compared to the sadness and drama of the first book (which I did love, by the way), this is a pleasant, make-you-smile read. I like that the author tightly focused this book in time; it takes place only in the week before Oliver and Eliza's wedding. I really like these characters. They almost feel like people I could know, which is so rare in fiction. I look forward to reading more about them in the next book.
I received a free copy of this book, but that did not affect my review.
Well, I received an ARC from Grace Palmer for book #3 of the Sweet Island Inn Book series. No Wedding Like Nantucket. I was excited to receive it Friday afternoon and thought I would just take a peek at it. I had things to do but guess what, here I am now at 1:40 AM writing my review. Oh my, so much for doing what I should be doing, they can wait but the book just couldn't. It was another amazing book. Full of life and all that life has to offer. As I was reading this book, I kept thinking, I am growing up with the Benson family and how wonderful it is. Grace is a new author and I have said since the first book that writing is her calling and her passion because each one of her books tells the story in such a way that feels like her thoughts just flow from her head to her fingers so smoothly and come to the pages with so much of her heart. She is an amazing writer, I have loved all 3 of her books and I am so excited that I can't sleep because there are more books to come. I definitely recommend her books and I do hope you find that she is as an amazing author as I do.
In book 3 of the Sweet Island Inn series, Grace Palmer once again has produced a book that will keep her competitive with tried and true favorites such as Robyn Carr and Sherryl Woods. The story of "No Wedding Like Nantucket" is told over the course of 7 days. It has our extended Benson family relaxing into their new life roles and preparing for Oliver and Eliza's wedding. Five days before the wedding word of a coastal storm is the talk of the town and all of the sudden a beautiful beach wedding that the author has set the scene for might not happen. NO spoilers here. With Grace Palmer you will come to know each member of the family, everyone serves a purpose for the sake of telling the story. Best of all, in all 3 novels in the series, you swear you can feel and smell the salt air on your skin, smell and see the vibrant colored flowers growing in window boxes and even taste the luscious meals at the Little Bull restaurant.
This is the third book in the Sweet Island Inn series, and what a wonderful series this is! I have loved each book so far in this series and this one was just as great as the first two. Ms. Palmer does an excellent job of portraying all the emotions through her writing that you feel as if you're in the situation feeling and experiencing those emotions for yourself. She really makes the story come to life with her writing. You feel as if you are part of the Benson family, too. Ms. Palmer is an amazing author and writes with such heart. This is a very well-written story with an interesting storyline that will catch your interest from the beginning. This book and the entire series is definitely one you do not want to miss. Highly recommended!

This was my 3rd book in the Sweet Island Inn series. I’ve already downloaded & have started the 4th book. Grace Palmer has an easy writing style that makes reading her books a pleasure. In this book, the Benson & their extended family/friends very busy in their lives! Mae & her boyfriend go through a troubled time that has Mae wondering how much more Dominic is hiding! Sara finds a new love with Joey, a fireman, & is very busy with her new restaurant, “Lil Bull”. Eliza & Oliver are anticipating their wedding day & then a hurricane is expected to hit Nantucket that very day. Holly & Pete are settling into their life in Nantucket. Brent & Rose are moving forward as well. A lot of activity in this book! A great, easy read!
Welcome back to another summer at Nantucket’s Sweet Island Inn! This series is one that you'll love reading and the characters truly feel like family. It's a well written story that flows smoothly from page to page. It captivates the reader and you find yourself lost in the story and escaping your every day life. The characters are strong, well developed, fantastic and realistic. You don't want to miss out on this series.

Book three in the Sweet Island Inn series a well written story with a very good storyline, the story flows smoothly from page to page. Grace Palmer has done it again, another emotional story for me, of the Benson family as they get ready for Eliza and Oliver's wedding. There will be a surprise I did not see happening. I recommend this clean family story that is full of love. I want to read the next book. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Book Three of the Nantucket series tied everything with a big bow. I almost feel as if I don’t need to read book four. I savored every word. My only two criticisms are that no one In the family got married BEFORE living with their significant “other.” And, God is not mentioned in Benson’s lives. What a shame! They mention “ higher” power, or the “universe ,” bot no God .
I follow 2 authentic Nantucket authors. I have vacationed on Nantucket for over 30 years. This author made several references which would never be true of Nantucket. In this third installment this was even more glaring. The story could have been set anywhere. It made me wonder if the author has actual knowledge or been to Nantucket. If your readers want a book with true Nantucket character and references books by Nancy Thayer and Elin Hildebrand would be more appropriate.
The saga continues as the characters grow , Grace Palmer created characters with real life drama issues. I'm enjoying this series. For the serious critique person, yes the characters are financially comfortable. Yes they live in a location the many can't afford to visit much less own a home there. Well that's life and lives not fair or equal, enjoy the novel and the fictional characters who do have some regularly people problems. Good read
The third book in this series of the Sweet Island Inn is another good read. Mae is continuing to pick up the pieces though discreetly, as it looks like she has it all together. As Eliza's wedding day grows closer, we find each Bensen growing in their own ways. Real. Authentic. Love. Laughter. Tears. Frustration. Irritation. Simply put... real life. I recommend!
This Sweet Island Inn series by Grace Palmer was a great clean read. Couldn't hardly put it down once I started. Great story from start to finish in every book! Great characters, well-developed and easy to follow. Love this author and this series about a family who helps each other out in good and bad times.
I enjoyed this story so much because almost all the family members end up with a happy and hopeful future. After being brought to tears twice I almost cried again when I read the last page, I just wanted it to go on and on.
Interesting and entertaining characters. Great story. Good addition to the series. Weddings are a great background for turmoil and conflict in a good romance. Must read!

As usual, I enjoyed reading the next installment in this series. This one seemed to have more plot, more action, to it. There is one more in the series and I can’t help but wonder if there will be a 5th or 6th book. There is a lot more life for these characters to live.
It seems that I have been saying that frequently, but I have been lucky enough to find great reads! Grace Palmer you are a great story teller! Thank you. Have a great day!
I really thought that they would get hit with the nasty weather from the storm that must stayed off the coast. I am really enjoying this series of books. You are a great writer!! I will continue on....
I enjoyed the continued lives of the family. The up and downs of each character was well written. My only issue with this novel is the repetitive dialogue .I found myself skipping over many pages .
Love how Eliza & Oliver's wedding went of without a hitch! Sara's restaurant is doing a smashing business! Holly is very happy with her family back home. Brent gets married! Lastly Mae is very happy after the loss of her husband.
