The Collectors haven't only made my life a living hell; they've made a game out of tormenting everyone I love.
And I refuse to stand for it any longer.
I'm committed to using all of the tools at my disposal to end their reign of terror—even if that means collecting every psychic ability I can get my hands on.
With Jameson, Noah, Mason, and Stowe by my side, and in my heart, I finally believe in myself and my abilities.
My name is Adele Rose, and I'm ready to embrace my fate.
Autumn is a lifelong bookworm with a penchant for sarcasm. She loves cloudy days, fluffy dogs, and murdering succulents. When she isn't bringing daydreams to life on the page, she can be found behind the lens of a digital camera or binge-watching Veronica Mars.
I'm not sure what went wrong and where exactly. Somewhere between book 2 and book 3, I'm pretty sure of it.
Perfect if you enjoy the kind of connection characters had in Sense8, but that's pretty much it. I thought I was going to die at all the mentions of Harry Potter. We get it, she's a witch and she grew up with Harry Potter, but did you know, you can actually write about witches without mentioning it? Wow, who knew that. Not the author, actually. Not going to mention how their obsession with Brooklyn 99 and Wicked was starting to be really cringe, too.
I'm not sure what to think of the MCs. The FMC, Adele, was uninteresting, Noah was cute (and always here, kinda like Jasper), Stowe was... here and nice, Jameson... I guess we needed it to have at least some tensions and a grumpy character, and Mason was the super hot and super rich dude. But they were all so easily forgettable. But mostly, since the FMC had to repeat that every 3 pages, they were all hot. Did you know they were hot? Because they were kinda hot.
I don't get why this series is 4 books long. Yeah, it's cool, there's no rushing in the MCs relationship (except that 2 of them were already so in love in book 2, after knowing each other for like, a month?), I liked that it wasn't full of smut (really, that's what I was looking for) but I still wasn't convinced by their relationship at the end of all of it. I guess, in the future, if I want to try RH again, it'll have to have some fated mate shit or omega verse because I really couldn't figure out why they were all so obsessed and in love with our FMC. It kind of make me think of the fanfics where you can self-insert yourself as the FMC. But being in her head all the time (we had MMCs POV starting book 3 but even then, there were few of them and most of them, useless) was exhausting. It was a mix of 'I need to take care of everyone' and 'omg he's hot I could jump his bone right now' and 'oh no someone mentioned my dad, I should be sad for 5 seconds ok i'm better now. ooooh he's hot' then 'oh we should have fun, let's go on a date' and 'oh no someone mentioned my burned house, i'm gonna be sad for 4.5 seconds' then 'it's my responsibility to take down the big villain i'll do it with my secret plan'. So exasperating.
The plot was seriously lacking. The big villain reveal was so underwhelming that I was hoping he was a decoy until the end. So, all of this, was for a dude with MS who wanted to be healed? Because he couldn't ask nicely years ago? Ok, why not, there's no good or bad way to be a villain. OH WAIT. Let's just mention how the FMC thought "I'm becoming a villain." because she had to manipulate a little one of her boyfriend to stop from freaking out over her dumb plan? Yeah, that's not how you become a villain m'am, I'm sorry. The whole rebellion thing was underwhelming too. What was the fucking plan, except for her to absorb of all their powers? At the end, the 'Psych Squad' was useless as fuck, it was just Adele and her guard dogs against the big villain dude dying. If you like FMC doing all the fight by herself, you'll love that. I didn't. I'm not saying she should be a damsel in distress, but it could have been more of a group thing, I don't get why she had to do it all by herself. She was overpowered for nothing. She absorbed powers from everybody, and they became useless (and let's not talk about her witch powers too). Yeah, it made me hate the ending so much. Even losing her powers felt underwhelming.
In the end, it felt a little too juvenile for me, even though they were all in their mid-twenties. I was so bored, nothing much happened. Maybe with other POVs that didn't revolve around the FMC and how perfect she was but more about the plot, it would have been a little more interesting? I'm not even sure, I feel like no one took the threat seriously (I mean, seriously, what the fuck what that, a scavenger hunt for tickets cruise just after the FMC lost her father and the MMCs lost someone who was kinda close to them????)
THis was such a great ending. I can’t believe Gepetto wanted to use Masons mom to heal himself. All this basically just to find someone who he can manipulate for his benefit smh. I mean he warped her mind and wanted Adele to fix her all so he could use her again. Good riddance man. So much happened and it was just a perfect end. I didn’t mind her basically losing her powers but essentially using them to death to save Noah and Masons mom. I mean she took away Noah’s empathy and from the way it ruled his life he can truly be happy. It’s probably best for her this way anyways since she’s not in danger anymore for the power she had. No one will have a reason to ruin her life and try to use her or her men. What really made the book for me was the epilogue. It was so sweet seeing them at their wedding aka commitment ceremony lol. I’m glad everything worked out for them and now they can live a happy and peaceful life. So long as Jameson doesn’t have more Crazy visions of course lol.

3.5 Stars Spoilers within review about the series as a whole as well.
3.5 stars
I guess I’ll have to start with the most recent thing I read, the ending, well the climax of the book, the ending of the series, what have you. The culmination of this entire series about The Collectors is about this one dude...idk. It just didn’t go kaboom for me. He’s supposed to be this great big villain and when things start going down it’s incredibly easy for Adele to handle him and protect those she loves. It just felt too easy. And then when she “burned” out her powers as her sacrifice I was a bit miffed.
THAT is how you’re going to end the series? Not only that but the entire and only reason this Geppeto or whatever his name is guy is after them is bc he wants a cure for his MS and take over Intuition? Then what? This is his plan? He’s been blackmailing people to do his bidding? Where did he find the other psychs and I’m talking before he had his walking detectors? Like I don’t understand why he had to do what he did in order to gain what he did. Yea he had a lot of money, and can be scary I just don’t think this part of the story was well fleshed out. The relationships were more fleshed out than the investigative part of the series was. The entire series is called The Collective, and I just I don’t know. I don’t even understand what the point of The Collective was aside what I had mentioned above. I just and not wowed.
There’s also the major plot hole of removing Trevor’s memories of Adele but him working at the station her father at that’s a significant amount of time and will probably come up in conversations, or perhaps since her dad died, they might have been reminiscing about him and brought up memories of Adele and Trevor dating. I kept waiting for this to be exploited some how by the puppet master. But once his memories were gone, poof so was he.
Adele didn’t really grieve her dad imo. She was forced into motion, and then was kidnapped, she never had any nightmares, she didn’t have any ptsd. It was just all too easy in the end. Overall I expected the book to be a bit more difficult in terms of plot. I definitely felt invested in the relationships, but I disliked how the whole supernatural aspect was handled. Taking Noah’s abilities, and then her burning out her abilities made me think she was left vulnerable. Not only that but she had all these people looking up to her, a community, I just don’t know it wasn’t pleasing.
I still did enjoy the journey into getting to know somewhat Stowe, Noah, Jameson and Mason. I’m not even sure who my favorite is though Jameson took forever to get on board, and he was making assumptions based on not full glimpses of the future. Like sure they can come true, but did he ever stop to think that maybe, he would be aware of what was going on at that point and time? Nope.
I think this could use a bit more idk not exactly editing but continuity, I just feel like over all a lot was a jumble.

I probably did myself a disservice by reading books three and four back-to-back, as I know myself and reading too long about same characters/worlds tends to have my interest wane. In doing so, this last book felt a little too repetitious, and I was disappointed that the team didn't really work together in a big, cohesive way for the finale. Rather, as she did throughout the entire series, Adele made decisions and performed actions all on her own, except for some token scenes telling us the team discussed plans, or the small ways they assist her. It makes sense for all the powers she had acquired but it came across a little anti-climactic to me. As for the romance, by the end of the series I felt not enough relationship development on page for all of the members (typical for me and RH) and the series is not steamy on my scale at all, but there are some sweet, romantic moments especially at the end of the boxset with some bonus scenes/epilogues.
Well this is the last one. Noah is so sweet and I'm really glad that her could find someone he deserves it. A lot goes on in this one but it does end and they get to have a life which was nice. This wasn't my favorite from the series but I am glad that I read to the end. It's a nice series with some action for those that are looking for that.
Far more action packed than previous installments, this one attempts to wrap every thread and answer the burning questions that have built over the saga. It ends well, if a touch predictably.
Pros: - more POVs from the guys. - Most questions are answered. - well written. - HEA
cons: - Some actions Certain characters take would not e what I would have chosen, but then again, I am not the characters.
I was dissappointed with the series finale. It lacked tension and glossed over a lot of things. The death of one of the minor characters was absolutely unnecessary in my opinion. It was just... lacking.
This was the absolute best ending to an amazing series!
The author did a phenomenal job wrapping everything up in this series and I just loved how everything played out.
Adele is the ideal FMC always wanting to take care of everyone else. Even the ending, proved she was as selfless as they came and the guys - Jameson, Noah, Stowe and Mason loved her even more for it at the end. On this wild ride of their mission ' "Getting the Rebellion" together...Adele embarks on this crazy journey to bring down the Collectors. Bringing all of the psychics together as well as the Rose Coven, brings a whole new set of problems. Will they be able to bring them down and still be around in the end together?
The steam in this series was low for me, but I really enjoyed the writing and storyline. I am eager to read more from this author and look forward to more!!
*Overall 5/5 *Series Overall 5/5 *Heat? 2/5 *Slow burn *MFMMM Romance *1 yr later epilogue *Ends on the best HEA
Adele Rose has lost too much to the Collectors. It ends now. It's time for her gloves to come off. Gepetto must be stopped and if she must gather a psychic army to face him then that's what she will do. She has young psychics, her coven, and Jameson, Noah, Mason, and Stowe by my side. The time has come to make their lives their own.
I have simplified the final book of Adele's story with my description. In reality, this is a well-thought-out, detailed story of a final showdown between two powerful psychics each fighting for their life. Adele is fighting for her future, for her loves, and to make sure that other psychics no longer have to live in fear or suffer the losses that she and the Psych Squad have all endured. Gepetto is fighting for his health and to maintain control of the psychic world. Only one side can win this fight. It's a battle of psychic strength and intelligence. The intelligence sets this book apart. The story is intricate, the writing precise and descriptive. Each character that appeared in the earlier books plays a role in this final one. No detail was overlooked. And in the middle of the building tension due to the approaching confrontation, Adele still has her relationship with four men to work on. Her time with each man is as unique as the men themselves. I have made it clear that I love all of these men btu had a particular soft spot for Stowe. Confession, he's been displaced. Jameson stole my top spot. When this man decides he's in, there's no holding him back. He's beyond swoon-worthy. This is definitely not a cookie-cutter, formula RH. There are so many beautiful, emotional scenes. It was touching, maddening, amusing, heartbreaking, and heartwarming. I fell in love over and over.
This conclusion was ultimately rewarding on every level. Every loose end was wrapped up in satisfying ways. I got more than I was expecting in many ways. Adele's story came full circle; just a much bigger circle than the one she began with.
Woaaaaaaah so many twists and turns I was not expecting in this finale of the Collectors series! I adored this storyline and was so sad to see it over but really happy this author took the time with the plot, didnt rush anything, and gave us this beautiful world, amazing characters, and epic story that gave me a good book hangover afterward haha.
I won't give the big moment away but some high level things I loved and others things that frustrated me but I understood why it was done. I was so happy to see Jameson on board finally (he is adorable and so loyal but also 🔥🔥🔥), Noah's ending made me tear up but was so good, and I was sad to see one of my favs not be as present as he was in previous books (I understand why, still made me sad though haha). I enjoyed getting to meet even more awesome side characters, get to see some karmic justice be given (some got off too easy I think), and some really happy and devastating moments that come with life and death situations/wars. I knew something not so great was gonna happen with the side effects from the spell Adele did to boost herself in book 3 buuuuut I wasn't expecting what happened (was happy with it though). I felt bad for some of the other characters with what happened with the battles with Geppetto's guys, but again when there is war you don't come our unscathed. I was kinda sad we didnt get to learn more about some of the characters, not sure if it was just because of the end of the series or not (like I wanted to get more air time with Mason's mom). I loved George and Aunt Ruby, they made me giggle and smile so hard haha. Also, not sure what Gem's deal was with part of this series. I was on the fence with her sometimes but ended up liking her at the end.
I think I mentioned it in a previous review but I would love to get a spinoff or something from this world. the coven's hidden community and all the new characters we got to meet would be cool to see down the line (especially to see if one gets a happy ending after of her own) and maybe get a cool cameo from these amazing characters. I thought the ending was really satisfying, tied up loose ends and gave us a good sense of their future and happy ending ❤️
In terms of the narration, I would give it 5 stars with the addition of the male narrator. Great job by both performers (female narrator wasn't as OTT in this one I think - not as many laughable moments I guess haha), really brought it home at the end of the series.
I enjoyed the first two books and was really invested. By the 3rd book, I knew I had to complete it. But it was also the 3rd book that I started to despise the love angle of the story. I hated that I had to skip through so much of the book that mentioned all the "Oh I love him and he loves me, and so does he, oh yeah, he does too! " drama. By the time I got to the 4th book, I just wanted it to be over with. Surprisingly, in the 4th book, it did get interesting again but eventually , the end was a disappointment for me as well. It had so much potential. But the love/sex stories was too much. I wanted to read more on the different characters and the actual stories. Instead, the last two books were overwhelmingly about the love affairs between Daphne and 4 guys. And they weren't even interesting love stories. There was barely any depth to any of it. I was very disappointed.
This series was… ok. I liked that it featured polyamory (the first time I’ve come across that I’m a book), but it didn’t feel real to me. 4 men just happily accept each other with no jostling or riled feathers? I could just about accept that three longtime friends might just manage that, but a fourth relative stranger as well? It just didn’t feel right.
I suppose this book is more paranormal romance than urban fantasy, which probably explains it. I’m not into romance books; I like my romance to be an enrichment to the story, not the goal - just as it should be in real life.
That aside, I liked the world building, but somehow the overarching story seemed… simplistic? Naïve? That’s why this series got a 3 for each book; they’re not terrible, but they could have been better. Perhaps if I’d read this as a YA I might have liked it more?
I enjoyed most parts of this series. I got invested in a lot of the characters and the main plots were really good and keep you wanting to read more and more. As a lot of other readers have stated, the whole “four guys” thing is a bit unbelievable. I had hoped it would end slightly differently but at least it was rounded up well and not left on a major cliff hanger. Could have happily read a longer series.

This series was amazing ! HEA and the plotline and characters were so real and compelling
I was hooked from the first book and couldn't stop reading this story, the multiple loves were written so well and all the characters were so real and human. I was on the edge of my seat alot of the time and couldn't put this book down. I loved how the story evolved and of course what an ending !!!!
Well I must say I didn't expect to enjoy this series as much as I did. I had fallen in kind of a book slump. Even changing genres a time or two but couldn't rekindle the joy, anger, hurt, or love you get from going on the adventures with a story. This series brought back that emotional connection and adventure that I've enjoyed most of my life through reading. So Thank you Autumn. I look forward to reading you again
Read whole series as one on kindle so this review is for the whole series. Very romance heavy and the plot did suffer a bit for it. Writing a harem is difficult but I feel like the author did it well, as the dynamic was discussed and considered in text. Main character was a bit irritating at times in a "what you expect from y/n fanfic" kinda way (to clarify this is not a y/n series). The main character is also wildly OP which lead to some easy-fixings plot wise. Overall, decent series.
I loved everything from the beginning to the end and it has a little bit of everything. Magic, psychics, a little enemies to lovers. Best friends, some suspense and craziness thrown in. What a whirlwind, but man, her relationship with Noah was just beautiful. Wish there was more!
Ok first things first, I absolutely adored this Bonus Epilogue so much, I was grinning from ear to ear and read it twice! This series is such great writing, the world building, character development, relationship development, mystery and struggles and triumphs all fall together perfectly and will definitely move into my top favorite series!! Definitely a future reread!!
The perfect ending to a perfect series. The previous book ended in a cliffhanger, and the transition into book 4 was seamless. Now, Adele has her team, and a plan, as in chess pieces on the board. But Geppetto and his team have their own moves. The tension is mounting not only between Adele and her lovers, and her team of “psychs,” but her self doubts and unstable powers.
They're all so accepting of the relationships with the other men. There is such a feeling of family with all of the characters. The drama drew them all together, but the love made them one big family. I recommend this series for readers of paranormal romances. Enjoy!
I had just finished reading ACOTAR and didn't think I'd find a series that made me as happy as it so quickly, but this series was AMAZING it had just the right amount of toe-curling spice, emotional turmoil, love shapes and fantasy... Written incredibly well and would recommend to anyone!
What lovely stories. The unconventional relationship between Adele and the “Fab Four” is handled beautifully. Her strength and caring comes through in each of the 4 stories. A great ending.
This series is fine, but it’s the final book and I really don’t care what happens to these characters. 🤷🏻♀️ My TBR is too long to waste time in a book I feel “meh”about, so got that reason I’m DNFing it.
Sooooo much that wasnt needed. 2 books would've been enough.
I was waiting to see that the 4 guys were spelled to love her, cos their whole romance was too fast too soon. Im not into RH, but was intrigued by the first book and it was a gift. Regret it!
