When my label told me I need to find a girlfriend to temper my bad boy tendencies, I thought they were joking. When I realized they were, I wanted to tell them to f*ck off. Cooler heads prevailed and I was on the hunt for a girl to put on my arm.
Instead...I found a woman. Seeing Angel have to stave off unwanted attention from my entourage while working at a nightclub put a fire in my veins I'd never felt before. And when I learned she was fired for slapping the guy, I was angry. And felt guilty.
So, why not solve both of our problems. I hire her to pose as my girlfriend, thus giving her a new- temporary- job and getting the label off my back.
It's the perfect situation...until feelings start to feel too real.

Tracey Carter writes short, steamy, emotionally sweet romances starring African-American women and the men that love them.
First book that I have read from this author. It was an ok read for me. Angel and Sin first met when she was a waitress at a club that he was at. He needed a fake girlfriend and when he saw her, she was the one. It was a slow burn romance.

DNF - Needs a good proofreading as riddled with errors
Hard As Sin is the third book in the Hard For Her series, with each book by a different author. This is the first time I have read a book by Tracey Carter and I was looking forward to this one as I have loved the other books in this series so far. Well I am just going to say it right away that this was a huge disappointment for me. The premise of the story was there but it just lacked in many ways. Firstly, the book appears to have not been to an editor or a proofreader. By the time I got to Chapter 3, about 35% into the book, I had already found over twenty proofreading errors and things that just did not make any sense. Secondly, the writing was stilted and did not flow to me. I found myself just wondering if a teenager wrote this, and I am not trying to be mean. But the dialogue did read as if the characters were even adults. So for me I gave up and just flipped to the Epilogue and then found further proofreading issues and what appears to be a decent HEA of everyone young woman's dream of bagging a rock god, or in this case a punk rock bad boy. For me this would be a hard pass as it should be pulled for a rewrite, then visit an editor and finally a good proofreading.
Angel is just a regular woman who was helping a friend when she caught the attention of the man of the hour Sin.
Sin is a bad boy rock star who needs to clean up his image so the label suggests a "fake" girlfriend. Doesnt take him long to decide on who.
Just an arrangement with no strings. Well Angel and Sin can try to fight it but it's so visible that you'll need sunglasses. Under the images, they are so similar and each connect on that level.
A bit of drama and a great deal focused on their connection with really hot se* that isn't the whole story. A great read that's quick but will leave you satisfied. I received an ARC for an honest and voluntarily review.
This was an enjoyable read. Despite being a rock star with a bad boy rep, Sin is pretty mellow. The record company wants to tame down his image though, .and insists he finds a girlfriend. When Sin meets Angel at a club - she's a bottle girl - he immediately likes her. After she's fired for defending herself against one of Sin's entourage, Sin comes up with the plan to hire her as his fake girlfriend. But the arrangement quickly becomes real for both of them. This is a fun and sexy read, perfect for a break.

This book fell short for my expectations. First, the editor needs to be replaced. I was surprised by the amount of name typos and grammatical errors that had not been caught. The story has good bones, however, it felt very rushed. The author could definitely spend more time connecting the characters and building up their story better. The author could build up the side characters as well if she plans to create a series out of them.
While the story is sweet and has good parts, it is totally generic and uninspired. I feel like I've read nearly identical stories multiple times before. Also, did no one edit this? It has some seriously majorly editing issues. Some of the errors are so ridiculous. I am trying not to be mean here, but there is not one excuse for how bad the errors are.
I enjoyed Sin & Angel's story. With a little more drama than previous installments, it was an enjoyable read. I liked that the author managed to show the main characters getting friendly/getting to know each other before getting heavy. The mix of emotions portrayed also gave the book an element of realness for me.
This is a cute story between Angel and Sin. He tried to help her after she gets fired from her job. I love that their relationship wasn’t physical until after they developed a friendship and a connection. Spending time together helped them see they were it for each other.

I'm sorry to say it but 🌟🌟 might be generous. I loved the idea of the story and at first, I thought this would be a higher rating but that quickly changed. I can usually skip over a mistake or two and still rate a book highly, but this was riddled with grammer and consistency issues. If this hadn't been such a short book, I would have been forced to dnf it.
Sin, a rock star with a bad reputation, in need of a fake girlfriend to clean his image. Angel was a bartender who was filling as a waitress until she gets fired because she slapped a guy. I really enjoyed the storyline and the characters were ok. My only complaint is that I wish the story had been longer, otherwise a good story. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.
A fast pace, sweet, engaging, and exciting book three in the Hard for Her series. The story line is well thought-out, funny, witty, and emotionally deep. The characters are likeable; their chemistry is instant and amazing. A Must Read!

Overall you feel the chemistry between Sin and Angel, I was truly rooting for them and do what to see where they end up, life wise...children, house, the whole nine yards.
This short but super sweet story is based on a great premise and in dire need of a good proofreading and edit.
I couldn't even read the book because the editing was that bad! I hate leaving a negative review because the story had potential. There were sentences that just ended, wrong names. Just bad.
This was a nice story. Tracy Carter has potential and I'm looking forward to her growth as a writer. This version is choppy with wrong words and hard to read in places, but overall worth reading.
Sin needs a fake girlfriend for his music label and thinks Angel is perfect for the part. These two quickly develope feelings for each other and turn it into a real thing. Short and steamy.
I loved the summary of this book but found myself disappointed once I was reading. I know it is a shorter story, but it felt very rushed. There were also misspellings and grammatical errors that made it hard to read at times.
Sin needs a fake girlfriend but when he sees Angel he knows he has to get to k ow her better. What starts as fake turns to more so fast neither expects the love they feel but both welcome it.
Good story. Even made me tear up. Definite HEA but would have loved an extended epilogue. Maybe a baby on the way? That would have been the icing on the cake.
Very badly in need of a proofreader. Too many wrong words (‘base’ from the music) and too many WTF-does-that-mean sentences. “Suddenly, the guy has which he falls into his lap.” ???
I liked the story but there were a lot of typos that I found distracting. This a short fast read but I wanted my backstory. I read on Kindle Unlimited.
First things first; I love the cover of this book! Hard as sin is book three in the hard for her series. This story is short, fast paced and an enjoyable read. I read this book in one sitting and was satisfied throughout. I found the writing style easy to follow, the characters likeable and the storyline enjoyable. Sin is a rock star that has just been told he needs a fake girlfriend. What he doesn’t expect is to find real love whist protesting the girlfriend demand. The chemistry between Sin and Angel is clear to see and I liked them as a couple. I thought they were perfect for one another. I really liked the ending and the epilogue for this story. The storyline for this book is easy to follow and it is an enjoyable read.
