René Paul Guillot (1900-1969) was an author who lived, worked and traveled in French Africa and wrote primarily for children. His works have been translated to many languages and have been included in school required reading in many countries.
After studying science, René Guillot moved to Senegal to work as a teacher, spending over 20 years in Africa. Most of the material for his many books comes from this time.
In 1964, he received the "Hans Christian Andersen Award" for the novel, Fodai and the Leopard-Men. Three of his books have been adapted to film, while a live-action version of Little Dog Lost featuring a Welsh Corgi, was made for the "Disneyland" show and was broadcast in 1963.
This is by far my favorite book of all time. Ever since I was little I have read this book over and over. I think it is a highly underrated book for horse lovers. Sure the ending is... suggests something darker but it was like other books of it's time. Definitely a must read for horse lovers.
Merak duygusunu koruyarak okutuyor. Hikâyenin içine giriyorsunuz. Duygudan duyguya geçiriyor. Sonu dramatik.
Çizimler Türkçe çeviriye has.
Guillot Goals #1 I have a feeling I may have read this in the dim distant past, but anyway, a fair tale with horses featured which is more about following your dreams etc. It does feel dated in style, the illustrations were nice. As the book was on its last legs, and falling apart, I will be the final reader of that particular edition, as it goes forth to be recycled into another product!
Dosadna i ne zanimjiva knjig. Ima par zanimljivih delova zato sam dao ocenu 2
Literally the book which taught me how to feel (and write). I remember being 5 and crying my eyes out at the ending and my mom said "we won't be borrowing that book from the library again." I didn't know how to express that I was sad but also loved it.
