Alexander Hamilton, unlike many of the other Founding Fathers of the United States, was born outside of wedlock and was an orphan at the age of thirteen after his mother died. He was thrown into the world, depending on the charity of friends and neighbors.

That perhaps is one of the reasons why Alexander Hamilton was fiscally sensitive and always anxious about funding and finance, not only for himself but for the new nation of the United States, where he emigrated when he was in his late teens. It is no wonder then that he became the first Secretary of the Treasury of the United States and that he even saved banks from financial collapse.

Hamilton had a brilliant mind. Although the law was his calling, he was blessed with charisma that could persuade even the stoniest of hearts. As a prolific writer, he never shied from presenting his legal (and personal) opinions regarding the political issues of the day.

In Alexander Hamilton: A Captivating Guide to an American Founding Father Who Wrote the Majority of The Federalist Papers, you will discover topics such as
From Nevis to Boston From Pen to Sword Onset of Hamilton’s Political Career Economy and the First National Bank The Time the Troubles Start Empowerment of Political Parties The Bitterly Fought Elections Bottom of the Curve And much, much more! kindle unlimited, this one and many of the others come with free history bonus, among other extras and details...can you imagine...if we had men such as him today, men who worked to help the country, many of which from that time period traveled days for such meetings, many who ended up bankrupt or poor, because they didn't get paid much less reimbursed for anything or any costs, men who helped found this country as a country, who pioneered what would become this country, who put duty and love of this country and the founding {actual} principles of this country before pretty much everything else.

Alexander Hamilton is one of the most extraordinary figures in American history. A deep thinker, a military leader, and a political dynamo, he was George Washington's right-hand man and perhaps the most important figure in the shaping of the Constitution. His policies and practices in government set the United States down a path of commercial wealth and economic stability. His ideas still resonate in the powerful nation he helped create. During his time, Hamilton was a divisive figure. A political extremist who antagonized the conservative parts of the new republic while protecting its former opponents. The man at the heart of the nation's first major sex scandal. A political operator whose actions outraged opponents and eventually led to the duel that cost him his life.

It was an extraordinary life, made more extraordinary by Hamilton's origins. He was an outsider, an immigrant from the Caribbean who arrived in New York to make a new life for himself. In doing so, he helped to shape the framework of politics and commerce in America. In retrospect, the amazing thing about his fame is not its recent resurgence, but that it took so long for him to be widely recognized. This book tells the story of Alexander Hamilton. The story of a nation born in blood, in struggle, and in the dynamism that immigrants could bring.

This Book Includes Captivating Stories and Facts about Alexander Hamilton's
Caribbean Childhood, Education and Quest for Finding Work, Military Career, First Steps in Politics, Part in the 1796 Election Campaign, Time in Public Office, Life After the Treasury, Affair with Maria Reynolds, Legacy...Furthermore, Alexander Hamilton also played a big role in The Constitutional Convention, Creating the Federalist Papers, The Formation of a National Bank, The Creation of Parties And a Great Deal More that You don't Want to Miss out on!

Are you yearning for more about Alexander Hamilton after the musical Hamilton on Broadway?

This is a great book to find more information about Alexander Hamilton after being entranced by the musical Hamilton. I, myself, have fallen in love with the music from the musical. I'm very unlikely to ever get to New York City but even just hearing the Original Broadway Cast Recording made me really want to know more about the man, Alexander Hamilton. I would love to see the musical in person.

This concise history of Alexander Hamilton goes into some depth of his life while being an easy and fast read. I had no recollection of him in American history and with his involvement in the founding of our nation from high school history classes.

It amazed me how he as an orphaned boy from the Caribbean was able to work hard, study intensely and make such an important impact on the United States.

Very interesting biography of an American icon. Well written and easy and fun to read. I was impressed to learn of his military career, I'd usually had heArd of his intellect and his contribution to the U. S. economy instead.

This is a short but historically correct and well balanced biography of Alexander Hamilton. I appreciate the inclusion of both positive and negative aspects of Hamilton's life.

Pretty dull. It's basically just fact, fact, fact, with little to no analysis. I might as well have just read his Wikipedia entry.

Very heavy reading on a subject that I’m interested in, because of the musical.
Still trying to get through Ron Chernow’s big book on him.

Hamilton was actually an immigrant to the U.S. He had a rough early life with his mother dying and father running off and things got even worse for him.

Eventually he ended up in the United States and began a life filled with a lot of writing about political things, ending up with a government position, setting up the concept of banks, worked on ending smuggling, worked with taxation, set up the National Mint and a lot of other things.

Those were all good. On the other side of things he cheated on his wife, got into very major political arguments with other men and got killed in a duel with Aaron Burr.

The book goes into all these things and even more. It seems to me he was an incredibly intelligent man in many ways but still flawed in other ways. He did a lot to help the United States to get on its feet which is a very significant accomplishment.
