I really don’t like writing negative reviews, especially for new authors, so I’m going to write this as constructive criticism. This book lacked the following and if the author dedicated herself to greatly improving them, I think her future books will be a lot better.

Character development: the characters were very one dimensional and their words and actions weren’t convincing. Our heroine, Rose aka “girl”, went from cowering and being terrified of everyone (which was realistic) to being sassy and calling a biker “big guy” and making him do what she wanted. There was no build up to this, no believable progression in her confidence and comfort level. Our hero was also one dimensional and didn’t have much of a personality. Pretty much all of his thoughts consisted of thinking about how gorgeous Rose was and how he’d die to protect her. He just met her and hours later is calling her his old lady and thinking about how he wants to have kids with her. Um, what?

Rose needing to be 25 to be given to the grand villain was never explained. Why was she hidden away? Why did the villain and her father, also a villain, have to wait until she was 25? Why did her brother have no idea about what was going on? Didn’t he think it strange that she didn’t have a name??

When Rose and Bear first meet, she had just had her back cut up with a knife, to the point where she felt like the blade hit bone. Yet Bear just puts some first aid cream on the wounds and covered them with gauze. I’m pretty sure cuts like that would need stitches. A few of the cuts were inflamed and infected. She would’ve at the very least have needed a course of antibiotics.

Dialogue was stilted and didn’t sound natural...at all.

There was the cliché of a bunch of big, scary looking bikers being soft ol’ teddy bears when they meet Rose. SO much happens in the first and second days, then a week goes by, and then everything happens in a rush and the story is done. So pacing really needs to be worked on. I did find multiple grammatical and other errors (omitted words, words being repeated twice in a row, misspellings, etc).

And I don’t really get the cover, to be honest. He looks tormented and like he just went through something extremely traumatic. He wasn’t tormented, at all, though. Rose was the tormented one by far.

I can’t recommend this book. It read like a first draft by a very amateur writer. Hopefully the author works on these issues and produces better writing in the future.

I get that this is a first book for the author and she is writing what she loves but it didn't really appeal to me. This book is all surface. No depth whatsoever. Terrible things happen and there is no emotional connection to them. Even the instalove had no emotional traction. As a reader, there wasn't anything to stop and absorb. Add in the over the top, ridiculous backstory for the "Rose", the unbelievable MC events (going to the cops? No way!) and this just had no substance or meat to the story at all. There isn't even any sexy parts to make up for the lack of strong writing skills. There is no sex in this book until the very end after they are married. It's that kind of sweet romance.

Additionally, Bear only seemed dangerous and alpha like for the first few pages.

Totally not the kind of books for me.

Loved this story!

Bear and Rose's story! I feel for Rose and the line she has been not living. With her father's horrid treatment of her she needs Bear to show her just what a real man does and treats his most cherished treasure. That is what Rose is to Bear his heart. I lived this book and had me hooked on this series and author.

I got this has an ARC from a facebook group.

It was pretty good for a first time author. It did seem rushed at times. Semi insta love but sweet. There is no sex other then at the end which sucks. The Hero and heroine are both great characters. I was interested to see more about Princess but looks like that won’t happen sadly but the other characters sound interesting too and I will definitely check out future books in the series.

Short and sweet MC romance - 3.5⭐️

~She escapes captivity and finds sanctuary with a biker club. Bear knows nothing about this woman but he’s willing to do anything to keep her safe.~

Super cute but also eye roll worthy. 😂 One minute Rose is cowering in fear, the next she’s a badass.

Also, it’s never explained why she was kept prisoner until 25.. Why that age? She would have been legal at 18 so I’m confused there.

First time Author Carol Dawn has just made herself a new fan. Wow i absolutely loved this book from the very beginning. The story is heart breaking and sad but the love of one Alpha biker by the name of Bear helps heal the broken beauty that is Rose.

For 25 yrs Rose was held against her will and beaten and broken by her sadistic and cruel father . Not even knowing her own name only called "GIRL" her entire life she lived behind closed doors and not allowed to show her face. To the world she didn't exist.

Learning that she was to be sold on her 25th birthday to a man who was more evil then her father Rose new she had to escape or die trying. And she did escape , in the middle of the night with only a thin nightgown covering her tiny body she ran and kept running until she ran into a building that was warm and surrounded by big alpha biker's.
Bear and his brothers took in the tiny woman drenched in panic and fear her tiny body shivering Bear new right at that moment he found his sweet sweet Rose. He took her under his protection gave her a name and helped her over come her fears and self doubts. He did what he did best and slayed her demons but it came at a cost neither of them saw coming. I honestly loved this story i couldn't put it down . The story line was solid the cast of characters are strong relatable caring and compassionate each one of them brought their own mix to the line up and i can't wait to read more by this Author. Hands down for her first book she knocked it out of the ball park.

Bear’s Forever, Infernal Sons MC #1 is a new MC series by Carol Dawn. This book had everything that I'm looking for in a MC book. A hot biker man, Insta-love for his woman, a good MC story and of course a HEA. The book was fast-paced. Once I started reading it I couldn't put it down.

“Your name, what do I call you?” I ask softly. “Nothing,” she says with a voice so sweet. I think Carol Dawn had me hooked with that one small dialogue between characters. I am looking forward to the next book in this series.

I’m not giving this a star rating because it’s the authors first book and I started skimming towards the end.

The blurb for this sounded really good but the execution wasn’t there. I understand these books are fiction but there are just some things that are unbelievable. A woman locked away her whole life being abused with no education or social interaction is not adjusting that fast. Maybe if the book was longer and more fleshed out it would be more believable but it was too rushed. It was VERY G-rated for an MC book and while some may like that it’s not what I expect when reading one.

3.5/5 ⭐️
one minimal detailed scene 🌶

Tropes:
- MC romance
- damsel in distress
- past trauma (heroine)
- virgin heroine

POV: first person - dual

Type: interconnected stand-alone “novella”( it’s less than 200pgs but more than 150)

There was one plot point that definitely needed closure considering how big it was.

A girl has no name

One night, completely by chance, she manages to escape her prison. For almost her entire life she's been locked away, controlled, and hurt. Denied her name, denied a voice, no end in sight. Until she seizes an opportunity. Running from her prison into a biker bar shouldn't have been good fortune, but it was. Tough they might be, but they each have a heart of gold. Then a Bear gives her a name, Rose, and life starts to look better. But, the man who held her prisoner did so for a reason. And he isn't going to give up his prize.

Spoilers ahead.
Ok, I've read a few MC books here and there. It isn't a favorite genre, and I usually only do so because favorite authors wrote them. This was a suggestion at the end of one of those. Taken at a glance, it would seem a good story. Girl runs from abusive prick of a DNA donor, lands in a cushy new life. It's just that so much of the fleshing out of that simple plot line didn't make sense.
*Bikers do help people. Clubs can be violent and still help those in need. But keeping an abused teen? At the clubhouse? With "bunnies" (their term for club sluts), prospects who haven't been completely vetted and the usual hangers on who come and go? Uh, no.
*She comes to them with a damaged back, scars and new cuts all over. She's carried bridal style without pain when sitting back against a seat hurt her?
*He worries about her being cold but not one guy offers up a shirt? They let her walk barefoot across a bar parking lot? Ew, by the way.
*They have a tech guy, and a few other specialists tossed in, but not one, with even just EMT training, who could look her over? She's been beaten, cut, tore up, had other abuses heaped on her, and all she gets is soup and some ointment? And we're supposed to believe he cares?
*Bear's mom is involved with the MC but allows previously mentioned abused teen to stay without a fight? Only barely nudges on the issue?
*Weird twin bond mentioned but never expanded on. Even during fight scenes or other instances where this twin bond could have been used.
*No background on really anyone. So short you barely have a chance to acknowledge characters, let alone bond with them.
*Her, FMC's, language is odd. Not really bookish, not really "normal", and not a blend, either. Random facts are tossed out to show that she reads a lot, but it come off strange.
*Her brother has been there off and on for 25yrs and never noticed not a single sign of abuse?
*Not a single guard in those 25yrs ever felt bad? None of the staff? It would have played better if someone had tried to help her and been caught. Or they regularly rotated staff so no one cared. Or just explained with soundproof rooms in an unused wing so no one even knew she was there except his trusted henchmen. And for not a single henchman, usually not a term used for good guys, to never try anything with a victim who can obviously never speak out about it is a little odd, too. Not that I like heaping abuse on victims.
*They have a tech guy but club still gets bugged? And raided by bad guys? On lockdown?? Not a single camera saw them approach, start the fire, nothing?
*Obligatory mean girl. *Sigh*
*The planned raid to get her back, in conjunction with authorities? Reality gets suspended here.
*Bear goes from sweet guy to horny supposedly alpha in a blink. Granted he's been more caretaker than Romeo due to circumstances but the sudden personality shift is odd.
*FMC is way too trusting for a human who has been beaten and tortured for decades. Never hides, her first day of freedom she dances alone in front of people? Also, tight jeans and a sweater over open cuts? How? And those bruises that were pretty bad got covered by makeup very easily. And then magically disappeared in the next scene.
*What is up with time jumps? I understand it for epilogues, but just to skip time sucks. These are the chances the author has to let you bond with the characters in day to day scenarios. Those little moments that make you go, "aww" and help you fall in love. If you don't bond with the characters, how can you feel they've bonded?
*The book commented so much on her purity that I feel like what happened to the other female character kidnapped with her (whose backstory involved her being forcibly impregnated by her father) was almost justified? Like she was too broken and was given up on by the author?
*FMC had access to a mirror, I'm assuming utensils to eat with. Never mentions how many guards on her door... Did she never consider taking down a guard to escape? She just waited for the path to be left open with a neon sign pointing "this way"?
I just didn't fall into the story. The writing and pair bonding were abrupt. There is some pretty bad grammar and typos in there, too. A good editor, some beta readers for feedback- and to help with fleshing out the story, and this could be a fun read. It just needs some love (pun intended).

My first book by the author and I really enjoyed it from beginning to end. The writing was stilted a little in the beginning but it was like the author just needed to warm up to get the book flowing. Rose and Bear were so sweet together. I love the possessive alpha male, it’s on of my favorite tropes. This was definitely insta-love but it didn’t seem as far fetched as other insta-loves are. I appreciated the lack of sex that usually surrounds MC books. It’s usually over the top with everyone getting down in the clubhouse but I was pleasantly surprised that this wasn’t like that. I don’t know if anyone is as sick of manwhores as I am. I loved the secondary characters (the good guys anyway) and I’m excited to read the rest of the series.

Great almost 4 star read.

Great 1st book by this author. There is violence but I would still say this book is very biker lite. Safe ready. A little bit of OW drama although it is over very quick & the H has no interest in after meeting the h. The OM drama is in form of the villain. I would of liked it more if there wasn’t mention of the H exclusively sleeping with the said OW for the past year & a “fleeting” thought of using the club bunnies for relief. I am probably being picky as these were said in maybe 2 sentences max. But if it wasn’t for that this book would of been perfection. Definitely can’t wait for the next book. Very intrigued about all the other ‘brothers’.

Beautiful cover

Superficial story, so much potential but unfortunately skimming lot along details, not consistent (h ‘s dad is horrible, everybody does what he says.... she has never been on the outside world, is ignored, emotionally and physically abused since she can remember.... but... she can read ?! Huh?! Who taught her? And she has a half brother who saw her but didn’t realize her situation?! How dumb can you be ?!

Ott insta lust/love from H

Storyline had potential but too many holes in it... this is the first of a serie, I hope her future books are better, story and characters need to be flashed out more ...

Great new MC Romance!

This is a new author that I discovered that I will remember. This a book about a lost, abused woman that had been lock up most of her life, she escapes and runs into the Infernal Sons MC at a secret meeting and their president Bear see her and instant love but she is so scared, Bear I have to say is a great hero, he protect 's her and helps her.Bear named her Rose for her beauty, sweetness. The other brothers are as great, Rose and the MC have enemy that they have to take care of , there is sadness, action and love, which I love. Great book!💗

I love instant - love but.... really? He’s ready to marry her, and give her a baby, after one week. But he claims her the very next day upon her stumbling into the bar, and the L word comes too fast. Also- 60-ish percent of the book is all about one night and one day- then skips a week, then skips a few days, then skips to 4 months, then to 6 months. Not enough bad guy time for me. Also, why is Ink barely inked into the story? He’s a club officer.... sometimes Brick was that way too. I felt like people came and go when it was convenient... I wanted to see them more often.

Bear is the leader of an MC and instantly falls for the barefoot vulnerable young woman who escapes into his meeting. He’s dealing with a traitor in his MC and she’s fleeing a horribly abusive father and situation.

It’s readable but not great. She’s a Mary Sue who wins over everyone immediately and he’s ridiculously smitten even for a book.

I much prefer Tillie Cole’s work with the same story elements.

Wow, did I love this book. It was a sensational read from Carol Dawn. I'm not sure how I missed this author before. I loved everything about this story. The characters, the plot, the pace, and of course a satisfying HEA. There are some abusive triggers here for those that are sensitive to such things. I am truly looking forward to reading more of this series. Keep them coming Carol Dawn. PLEASE!!!

A bit heavy at times

This story was a mix of unbelievable and heavy. The heavy was detailed enough to feel it but not enough to drag you down. The unbelievable was almost funny at times. Loved when Rose's inner tough girl showed up. Also liked how the brothers were so protective even without knowing her story. Good read

This is my first time reading anything from this author. I met Carol when I offered her a FREE virtual spa session with skincare goodies bc im a Mary Kay biz owner (if anyone interested let me know lol). Me and her got to talking and we just hit it off! I feel blessed that we have become good friends now!! I bought this book from her so she sent it to me with a few extra things that were so amazing! And its a signed copy!! I devoured this story within a couple days!

Bear is amazing and def sexy🔥🔥! I love Rose🌹 she's an amazing MC! The stuff she went thru from her own flesh and blood (who should have been protecting her) was so horrifying! But she didn't let it break her. She finally escaped from her basically prison of 25years! While on the run she ends up finding a biker club to hide in! When she goes in there she is noticed by a group of huge bikers! Luckily they all seem like good people even tho they look mean and scary 🤣
Bear is the president of the infernal sons MC and he instantly takes a liking to her! He works on getting her out of her shell and she def starts coming out of it and blossoming!
I loved all the characters! the Infernal Sons MC (motorcycle club) is so awesome! I love the relationships all the brothers seem to have! I love the comraderie and goofiness between them. Ma and princess were amazing characters too!
I am very excited about this series! My only complaint is that this book ended 😆. I need more of Bear and Rose! Stat!

Carol is an amazing author and I look forward to reading more books📚 by her!!

She took a chance at freedom and ran. Captivity and punishment molded her but fear of the fate her father has in store drives me to dash out into the night in nothing but a nightgown. Desperate, she opens a door and walks into another dangerous situation. The man at the end of the table is big and scary but he is a far better choice than the man chasing me. He can't help himself, he will take her in and protect her with his very life. Will they get the chance at a life together?

It isn't often that you find an romance that combines instalove and the MC's brand of support, family, and loyalty with a dash of a law unto themselves. She gets that sense of family the moment she finds Bear, something she desperately needed. Bear is the kind of guy I love! Big and dangerous but he melts for this petite woman and will do whatever he can to protect her. This girl has an inner strength that has served her well and really blossoms into a strong, sassy woman. The secondary characters were just as intriguing without overshadowing the main couple. I love books like these and when I find them, I snatch them up and they join the ranks of my comfort reads. Bear's Forever by Carol Dawn was a great debut for a new author, I loved the time I spent in this world. I can't wait for her next book! 5 stars for Bear's Forever!

A sweet yet suspenseful MC romance I enjoyed

This is my first read by Carol and I am pleasantly surprised with how quickly I fell in love with all the characters.

Rose is a young woman (25) who has lived a life of torturous captivity until she broke free. She is intelligent yet naive and even after all she has been through, she is still kind and so strong.

Bear is the president of Infernal Sons MC - he may look terrifying and is willing to do any and everything to protect those he cares for, but this man has a heart of gold.

This is one of the sweetest MC romances that I have read in a long while. I truly adored how Carol wrote characters that can be ruthless yet so darn kind. Bear’s Forever is fast paced yet didn’t feel that way since the story flowed smoothly and is packed with just as much suspense as it is heartfelt moments. I loved it and will definitely be checking out the rest of this series.
