Meet the series that's sweeter than tea and hotter than an Alabama summer day!
In this three-book collection of hot cops, known as the Moonshine Task Force you'll get an age-gap surprise pregnancy, a second-chance romance, and a marriage of convenience.
Renegade - When older-woman, Whitney, allows herself a one-night-stand with her younger brother's best friend, neither one expect for it to have life-long consequences.
Tank - EMT Blaze is heart-broken when she responds to one of the worst car accidents she's ever seen. Everything changes when she realizes the man inside is the one she's never been able to forget.
Havoc - Team leader, Havoc, can't stand to see the despair in Leighton Strather's eyes when he's forced to arrest her. It hits him so hard in the gut, he knows the only thing he can do to protect her from her family, is marry her.
Renegade and Tank’s stories were 5/5. I just didn’t care much for Havoc’s story I felt like it dragged on. But overall, it was a great book with all the stories intertwining! Gonna put the next books on my TBR pile!
RENEGADE I'm completely in love with Ryan "Renegade" Kepler. What a fascinating character! Whitney is also a very interesting and complex character, who has some insecurities, especially after a traumatic marriage and an ex-husband who is a complete jerk. But Renegade can prove that, even though she's ten years her junior, age doesn't matter when feelings are sincere. I loved the interaction between the characters, and Whitney's family are fantastic.
TANK Laramie again presents us with a wonderful story. At the end of Renegade, we already knew what happened to Tank, but reading everything from his point of view and Blaze was very good. Blaze is a very strong character who, in facing Tank's accident, relives some of the worst moments in her life, but at the same time, she finds the strength to face everything and helps Tank to recover. And Tank, over the course of his recovery, is able to comprehend that Blaze's job is as important to her as his work on the Moonshine Task Force is to him. And the love between them is too great to overcome any problem of the past. I loved to see again the characters that appeared in Renegade
HAVOC This is another great story from this series. Havoc is a very interesting character, always ready to command and help everyone. And when he marries Leighton, it's a way to protect her from her own family and, as we've learned throughout history, to give in to her desire for her. Although Leighton has appeared little in the other books, she shows herself to be a strong and determined woman, and gradually gaining the confidence of all of them. I loved to see the characters from the previous books and how they all interact well together. I loved all these stories and highly recommend them.
Renegade, Moonshine Task Force book 1, 2017 A good love story, between a quintessential Southern Lady (who is only that on the surface and has survived hell) and the 10 years younger Ryan (aka Renegade). There is an accidental pregnancy, a trope I usually dislike, but works well in this case.
Tank, Moonshine Task Force book 2, 2017 There is a major accident involving Trevor (aka Tank) near the end of book 1. And it’s a doozy. Trevor already has found his love, but they broke up for what are, in hindsight, dumb reasons.
Havoc, Moonshine Task force book 3, 2017 I wondered what the love story was going to be for Holden (aka Havoc) and Leighton. It’s a slow burn, marriage of convenience and it’s quite good.
It’s interesting how my reading tastes and opinions change over time. I read this series and loved it. When I saw I could get the first three books in an audiobook, I had to have it. I still love the first book, liked the second but didn’t enjoy the third this time around.
First, I know my opinion isn’t the norm but I am NOT a fan of dual narration, especially when it’s dual between male and female. No character has the same voice because it changes depending on the point of view. A skilled narrator is much better than dual narration. I think the female narrator could have narrated this whole book successfully. She had a good range of characters. Just the combination of the two sucked 🤷🏼♀️
Three book set. I can't decide which guy I like best, or which story is better because they're all great. Book 1 is Renegade (Ryan) and Whitney. Ryan is 10 years younger than Whitney and has been in love with her for as long as he can remember. Book 2 is Tank and Blaze; Tank is Whitney's younger brother wants Blaze to leave her dangerous job. Book 3 is Havoc and Leighton; she's 15 years younger than he is, and her family's business could endanger them both. All 3 are standalone, but part of a series (and all the characters are present in all the books). Each one has a terrific HFN/HEA. I will definitely put this author on my favorites.
I’d like to give this series of the first 3 books of MTF 2.5 stars. The writing gets better with every book and the 3rd story had enough suspense to keep me going to the end pretty quick. The first two books have a lot of repetitive thoughts by the main characters. A few cuts would have made the books better to read. However, prospect to part 4: Ace being better keeps me on track with Ms Briscoe’s book for now. Looking forward to the spin offs as well.
The first 3 MTF books - gotta love the MTF! These guys are awesome, as are the ladies who love them. Laramie Briscoe has an awesome series started here. Ryan & Whitney, Trevor & Blaze, Holden & Leighton. Even though I own these separately, I had to buy them in this collection also, I didn’t even think about it, and loved reading them just as much as I did the first time!
I had already read the first book in this series. Saw the first three in this box set so I decided to purchase it. This series is about a group of Alpha Males and the women that steals their hearts. The stories touch on domestic violence, age difference in the relationship, dysfunctional families, and moonshine.
I enjoyed the first and third books, but the second one was not as interesting. This writer needs to work on some grammar: She was trying to emphasize their lack of education by using incorrect subject verb agreement. (It don't) However, the rest of the syntax would be correct. Also, the difference between lie and lay needs work.
The moonshiners were inconsistent. Sometimes they were barely nasty, and the next, they were threatening to kill somebody.
I rated this book a 4, but I should have rated it a 3 because of weak c characterization.
There is one major thing I enjoy about these books, other than the obvious "wink, wink". The fact that they are not ultra rich...they live in trailers, duplexes and work...in a lot of books they have " cake" in the bank but these I can relate. Also the storylines are very believable and I love the names!!! Way to go Ms. Briscoe!!!!!
Renegade - Ryan mentioned several times what an asshole Whitney's ex-husband was. Meanwhile, he took her home and had sex with her when she was so drunk she was slurring her words and needed help standing up. When she woke up the next morning and had some regrets about what they did, he had a temper tantrum. DNF
Renegade was the first book I had ever read by Laramie Briscoe. I enjoyed it so much I went on a bender of all of her books. The fact that these amazing stories are in a bundle made me happy so here I am after a Moonshine Taskforce journey once again. I absolutely loved, adored and enjoyed everything about these stories.
First time reading this author and 3 books in she is being added to my go to list. Three very different stories and I really enjoyed each one. I’m enjoying this author’s style in weaving the overlapping timeline of each book into this series. The first 2 books jumped right into the story on page one, the third book took a little longer - each had me hooked.
I loved the cast of characters in this box set. The brave men of moonshine task force take on their struggles to obtain the love of the women who overcome their struggles also. Each story has that touch of danger and internal issues to force the couples to realize what is really important.
It's been a long time since I have given a book 5 Stars ,but this series of books did not disappoint. Usually after the first one I feel like I wasted my time, but the Moonshine Task force was fantastic to me. Some real life bad along with the good made me happy at the end of the first 3 books in the series.
Three good stories with tasteful bedroom scenes. Good plots without any emotional suspense. . Pleasent relaxing stories with enjoyable characters. Good stories
Loved these men and their ladies! The guys were so willing to wait for the women they cared for to come to them. The women were strong enough to ask for help. Great writing and story telling.
Absolutely love this series. All the characters are lovable and fall deeply in love. My favorite will always be Ryan and Whitney, not taking away from the others. If you enjoy hot alpha males, this is the series.
Everyone one of the guys stories was great. They all go through a lot. To get back home. They served together. They work together and gave each others backs. They find the one person. Who understands them. Great book.
This author must be using spell check instead of an actual editor. If the editor is a live person, fire him/her. The dialog and logic are juvenile. The grammar is AWFUL. Don't read this if you're over 21.
I enjoyed volume 1 of the Moonshine Task Force. I liked all of the characters both main and secondary and loved seeing how they grew and how their relationships flourished. I will say Whitney and Ryan are my favourite moonshine task force couple i adore them!
The novels are pretty standard, there are two storylines taking place at the same time : the love story and the task force work putting bad guys behind the bars. Nothing extraordinary, just sweet stories and hot guys.
I guess the guys from the MTF really are BAD & HOT while we are at it. I immensely enjoyed their stories. My only disappointment was in the editing. Quite a few mistakes but not a reason not to enjoy the read. Happy Reading! MARY C
I read each of these stories as they were released and I loved every single one. The MTF hold a place in my heard and underneath their hard exteriors lies a man that would lay down their life for the woman they love. Ryan, Trevor and Holden will make you fall in love!
Loved the first 3 books in the series! Definitely, read the books in order due to the timeline of their lives. Great stories and adventures. Great characters and enjoyable romances! Now, time to read the remaining 3 stories! Enjoy this well written series!😊
Intriguing series that was well written, has fantastic characters and the storylines grab you from the beginning until the very end. This is a fantastic way to read this collection.
Amazing read, and one you won't want to put down from cover to cover. Laramie writes the feelings amd thoughts of each character so precisely you'll feel it yourself.
I wish I could have found small town romance. These three couples make you fall madly in love with them. Laramie magically brings true love to these books.
