About the author

Bill Amend is an American cartoonist, best known for his comic strip FoxTrot.
Born as William J. C. Amend III, Amend attended high school in Burlingame, California where he was a cartoonist on his school newspaper. Amend is an Eagle Scout in the Boy Scouts of America. He attended Amherst College, where he drew comics for the college paper. He majored in physics and graduated in 1984.
After a short time in the animation business, Amend decided to pursue a cartooning career and signed on with Universal Press Syndicate. FoxTrot first appeared on April 10, 1988.
Amend currently lives in the midwestern United States with his wife and two children, a boy and girl.

I enjoyed Foxtrot years ago and bought almost all of strip's books, and I recently decided to reread them. Still find Foxtrot to be hugely enjoyable and still brings lots of laughs. A few strips in this book are dated but the vast majority are still very funny. Any fan of the series will enjoy this volume!

Such a fun book! I stumbled onto a few FoxTrot books at a local thrift shop and snatched them up. This was like a journey into the past (and I had to explain to my daughter about dial-up internet and such). I like that the Storylines follow real life, so topics like back to school shopping, Christmas lists, Super Bowl, hay fever, prom and more all come up.

Paige Fox encounters the high school drama club and finds herself playing the lead in Antony and Cleopatra. Unfortunately, the Antony isn't exactly the man of Paige's dreams. Jason gets the job of decorating the outside of the house for Christmas. And that's just two of the sequences in this collection of comic strips.
