Boring. Only up to ten, written by someone who clearly does not understand the proportions of a family farm. But: color and vocabulary of animal noises and rhyme enhance.

This book is great all around. It is useful for counting and teaching sequencing. It also uses rhyming and includes poems. The sequencing could help students comprehend when retelling the stories. Props would be good tools to use when reading this book.

This would be a nice book to introduce different kinds of animals. Also the teacher would be able to review numbers 1 to 10. By having the students count the animals in the picture. This would be a great way to help them memorize the numbers.

This is another good go-to participation book for story time aimed at pre-schoolers. It encourages counting, color identification, and animal identification. I used this for a class visit that was chicken-themed.

Introduces the numbers one through ten in rhymed text and illustrations of a variety of rather noisy farm animals.
