This is the first book in the Knox Police Force books and it focuses on an older heroine and younger hero I am going to be honest that is not my favourite genre but I did enjoy this book a lot.
Korie is an instructor within the Knox Police Force, she has been building her career for the past fifteen years but there is something about new recruit Jase the young and talented new officer. When he makes his intentions clear Korie is confused by her feeling can she have a younger man and her career or will she have to choose between them?
Jase knew that second his eyes met Korie’s that she was his one and only, he didn’t care about the age difference all he had to do was bide his time until his training was complete and she would be his. But when someone else is trying to date his woman will he be able to hold back or take what us his?
Cute and fast read with a perfect alpha male and reluctant but sassy heroine.

I’m always curious to see how many older woman younger man stories are out there. I haven’t read many so when I started this one, it gave me just what I needed. Short, sweet and steamy. The hero Jase had the right amount of Alpha mixed with just enough sweet and the heroine Korie, with the perfect mix of sass and softness.

Just okay.
I’m a big Hope Ford fan and I can definitely tell this is one of her earlier works. Besides the story just not being for me (not a fan of reverse age gap) it’s just missing her magic touch. It fell a little flat for me.

Character development: This book was really short, but it would have been nice to see a scene that dealt with the age gap, since that was a big concern of Korie's - maybe a scene that showed Jase putting someone in their place because of it or something similar. It was really hard to tell what made her decide the age gap wasn't a big deal anymore.

Super quick, insta-love story. Older woman/younger man, Superior/subordinate romance. Jase is a Police recruit and Korie one of his instructors. He is attracted and makes it known he wants her. She is attracted to him as weel, but, she is his instructor and she's much older than him.
He doesn't care about the age difference and gives her 2 weeks to come to terms with being "his".
Heat level was 🔥🔥🔥. Super quick read that was fun, a little dirty and ended with a HEA.

Korie and Jase
I have read The Captain first and loved it, and the Recruit is just as good. I liked that it was a older woman younger guy this time, cause I mostly see older man and younger woman book. Loved that Jase didn't let Korie being older and more experience than him stop him frm going after her. He loved and was proud of the fact that his women could show him things he didn't know making him a better man for her to love

Straight Shooter
I enjoyed reading this story. Super short, super sweet with definite heat. Nothing better than finding your one, and knowing it, feeling it, and waiting to make your dreams come true. But nothing beats the feeling that your one thinks your their one. Loved the epilogue, it was perfect for this story.

Short but sweet. I know I read older men younger women books all the time. It is a little hard to read older women younger men books. Am I saying that’s wrong NO WAY! It’s just rarely seen and hard for me because most young guys I know heck some guys my age are so immature. But on that note, this was a sweet book.

The Recruit was a great quick read. For a short read the characters were fleshed out and the storyline wasn't rushed. I love older woman/younger man stories and Hope Ford didn't disappoint with this one.

This story is short, fast paced and an enjoyable read. I read this book in one sitting and was satisfied throughout. I found the writing style easy to follow, the characters likeable and the storyline enjoyable. Jase is from a family of police officers. He is currently in the last stages of his training. He wants his beautiful teacher but he has two weeks until training ends before he can claim her. Korie is also from a family of police officers. Having worked for the police for fifteen years, she is used to men lusting after her. She shouldn’t want Jase, especially with him being fifteen years older but it gets harder for her to resist him.
The chemistry between Jase and Korie is clear to see and I liked them as a couple. I liked that Korie and Jase had similar interests.
I really disliked Craig. I truly wanted to kick him.
The storyline for this book is easy to follow and an enjoyable read. I cannot wait for more books in this series.

It is about time!!! A beautiful badass curvy older h with a younger H is so refreshing!!! Especially when the younger H is still an alpha that is protective and possessive over the woman that's he loves!! I love that the author wrote a strong older h with a younger H but didn't make him weak because he was younger and wasn't intimidated by the h age and skill.I absolutely LOVED this book! The author did a damn good job writing about something that is less popular and even less excepted! Completely rocked it! Great start to the series!
