A girl is murdered by a mysterious blond man with magenta red eyes along with two of her best friends. She dies regretting that she never got to tell her feelings to the boy she loved, who was killed with her. She is reborn into the magical world of Maydare as Makia, a daughter of a lower noble house and a descendant of the Red Witch who was feared across the land as one of the three greatest magic users to rule the land 500 years ago. Makia lives according to the motto passed down by the Red Witch, to take what you want by whatever means necessary! All she wants is to finally confess her love to the boy she loves, but fate seems to interfere at every turn. He's chosen as one of the Protectors of the Chosen One and taken to the capital city of the kingdom. Makia enters the magical school in the capital with the hope that she can somehow be with him again.
Despite the heavy beginning, this is a story with tons of humor and heart. Makia is constantly disappointed in trying to tell the boy she loves her feelings, but she never gives up! Her positive energy draws friends to her side the magical school, all of whom have their own complicated background that is revealed slowly. Through it all the story remains upbeat and positive! Despite the drama, I would class this as a cozy fantasy that reminded me in the best way of Hogwarts.

Mmm....interessante. Sinceramente è proprio la parola che userei per descrivere questo manga. Essendo la mia prima esperienza di fantasy manga non avevo alte aspettative, sapevo solo che era osannato e che i disegni li amavo.
Per ora la storia non è granché nel senso che non è ancora nel suo pieno, è più un'introduzione forse.
Nella terra di Maydare, gli incantatori controllano il tutto e Makia discende da una delle più grandi e temute streghe: la strega cremisi. Nel giorno del suo 11° compleanno conosce uno schiavo, Thor, di cui si innamora a prima vista e che l'accompagnerà negli studi di magia vivendo con la famiglia O'drielle.
Ciò che Makia non sa, ma che scoprirà verso la fine di questo primo volume, è che i "sogni" che la tormentano, in realtà sono reminiscenze di una sua vita precedente in cui era una studentessa che è stata assassinata e in cui era presente anche Thor/Tooru...
Alla fine Thor si scopre anche essere "il prescelto/il messia" per salvare il mondo, ma da cosa?
In ogni caso questi due sono adorabili insieme e non vedo l'ora di vedere cosa succederà nel secondo volume, sono molto curiosa.
La guardia del corpo e la "cliente" ah che bel trope, se si considera poi che il padre di lei nei suoi piani li vede sposati...yess🤩

Die Welt ist interessant, speziell dass die Zauberer Zaubertiere haben und dass sie anscheinend ihren Namen in ihre Sprüche einbauen. Auch die sich anbahnende Romanze fand ich süß.
Nach einem starken Start flacht es leider doch recht schnell ab und plätschert so vor sich hin. Man lernt zwar die Charaktere kennen, aber ich hatte den Eindruck das waren lange nicht alle. In Band 2 soll es um den Start der Protagonistin an der Zaubererschule gehen, deshalb war mein Eindruck von Band 1 jetzt dass es wirklich nur ein Intro ist und erst an der Schule so richtig losgeht (ich find persönlich die Haupthandlung sollte in Bnd 1 schon erkennbar sein und nicht nur im Klappentext, find das immer schwierig so zu Bnd2 gebracht zu werden, nur um dann erst festzustellen ob man die Reihe weiterverfolgen mag oder nicht).
Die Zeichnungen sind solide, Es gibt auch einige sehr gute Panels. Nach hinten hin wird aber manchmal eine sehr dicke Outline vewendet die ich nicht so schön fand und die Bilder zusammen mit ähnlichen Farbflächen nebeneinander flacher wirken lässt.

Nel giorno del suo undicesimo compleanno salva uno schiavo da un crudele destino, facendolo divenire una sorta di guardia del corpo.
In questo mondo dominato dalla magia, Makia continuerà a studiare per allenare i suoi poteri. Ma, notte dopo notte, uno strano sogno riguardante quella che sembra essere la sua vita precedente la tormenta..
Il primo volume di questo manga romantasy, ambientato in un mondo magico vasto, interessante e tutto da scoprire, mi è piaciuto moltissimo.
La dose di mistero che la storia porta con sè rende il tutto ancora più intrigante, dando alla storia dei risvolti violenti e oscuri che non mi aspettavo e che ho apprezzato tantissimo!
Fin da subito ho amato i due protagonisti e il legame che viene a crearsi tra i due.
Il manga è poi disegnato splendidamente e io non vedo l'ora di continuarlo!

Mi piace il fatto che la protagonista Makia dopo essere morta si sia reincarnata ma la domanda che continuo a pormi è quante volte effettivamente si è reincarnata e quante vite a vissuto di cui non ha ricordi?
Dalla trama mi ispirava molto e devo dire che mi ha presa, intrigata, il mistero presente mi lascia sbalordita, la magia mi ha stregata, il finale di questo volume mi ha lasciata sconcertata e con la curiosità di scoprire cosa succederà a Thor, a come si evolverà la sua vita insieme a quella di Makia ma soprattutto sono interessata al fatto che forse sono destinati a stare insieme ma vengono separati ad ogni vita e mi rende un po’ triste, ora non resta che continuare e vedere cosa accadrà. Le tavole dell’inizio del capitolo 2 e 3 sono magnifiche e dettagliate.

I like the way the story starts, with the characters being transported to another world. I wasn't blown away by the meeting of the two main characters. The character designs are nice, but apart from the cliché of the touchy little girl and him teasing her, I don't see any personality.

Carino ma non mi ha colpito particolarmente e non sembra avere nulla di nuovo rispetto a storie già viste e lette. Sia la tematica della magia che quella della reincarnazione sono piuttosto abusate e questa storia finora non le ha rese sue in maniera decisiva.
