A must read for any musician/person who is interested in the music of Mozart. Though prior knowledge about music comes in handy due to the use of many musical terms.
This is synthesis of Mozart and his music. Covering his Concerti, Sonata's, 3 chapters on Opera's, chamber works, way of writing, Reception of his music in the 19th and 20th century, Aesthetics and of course, very important, the performance practice of his Music.
Written by wonderful scolars but not in such a way that the reader has to be a scolar himself.
Bravo for Cambridge and all the scolars! A sincere thanks to you all.
