This book was lent to me by a friend, and I found it both interesting and useful for some family history I was researching. I only "browsed" some sections on this occasion, but there is plenty more to read through for a greater understanding of the trends of discovery throughout the state of Victoria. It would also be interesting to compare this kind of information with other states and New Zealand (which is referred to in this text as significant for those "following the finds"). It would also be of interest to have an insight to other mineral finds and the setting up of mines where families relocated for work in early companies rather than relying upon their own licenses and "luck".
