So sweet! I loved it so much! I thought it was so adorable, and I couldn't help smiling at every page! There were so many lines that just made me want to quote them again and again like "Love's skipping out in the morning and hoping the day never ends." Or "Love is when somebody quietly listens to everything you've got to say." I think this book is so good at showing us what loved is and what the word love means. It was just beautifully done.

Genre: Fiction
Age: K - 1
Illustrations: I liked the pictures they were simple but also had hidden gems.
Gist: This book is about all the wonderful things that love can be, not just given someone a hug or saying you love them but also the little things. For example going on an adventure with friends, or waking up in the morning to the sun. Love can be anything you just have to love it.
Curriculum Connections: You can have each kids come up with was love is to them and then have the put a picture to it showing how that is love.

This is a very cute and sweet book. I don't think that it is one that I would be dying to have in my classroom. It is more of one that I would read at home to my little cousins. Overall, a cute book that I would recommend to anyone, but especially those wanting to read to a family member.

A sweet little book about how love makes you feel, starring a family of bears. My 2.5 year old is really enjoying this as a pre-bedtime story with nice, calm rhymes and simple illustrations.

5 stars for this line - "Love is when somebody quietly listens to everything you've got to say." The illustrations are pretty and the rest of the book is cute, but if this book helps teach my son that love is caring enough to listen, and that he deserves to be listened to, then it is one of the most important books on his shelf.

This is a very sweet rhyming fiction picture book by Giles Andreae. The story is about a little bear who spends the day discovering all the ways that love can be expressed. From jumping out of bed in the morning ready for a new day to playing with friends and spending time in nature, the little bear learns to appreciate all different activities.

I loved this book. It is so sweetly written, and it rhymes! The water color illustrations are also very engaging.

I could use this book in my classroom as a read aloud. I could use it just as a feel good book, or I also could use it to teach on love.

A cute little book that defines love. Each page takes a stab:

"Love's when you can't stop describing
Just what you've been doing all day.

And love is when somebody quietly listens
To everything you've got to say."

Love is . . . is used over and over. It seems to me I could use this as a model for a writing project. Create a structure for students to follow somewhat like the Thunderstorms project.

Illustrations are pleasing.

I am a sucker for board books with pictures like these. The text was lacking but the message was sweet. I love the illustrations of the interactions between the little bear and the parents, very endearing.
