Absolute gross out fest. Just yuck! Nauseating. But I had fun here. And what is it with men and hiding their dead wive’s bodies? I can’t think of a story when it was the other way around. Guess we’re just a bit strange like that. Anyway, so the story is simple…Willard causes a car accident and his wife loses her leg. He becomes attracted to the stump and things get icky from there. I’ve seen and heard about some funky fetishes and such over the years, but this was out there. And to the degree that Sea Caummisar took it was ballsy. So kudos for taking the risk, and she was mindful enough to post a quick blurb before the story to clarify the context of everything. So there is just lots of blood and deviant sexual acts throughout. That’s the bulk of the story. But somehow Willard goes through different unique stages of his grief for his wife and discovering his new persona. Much like my critiques on this author’s other works, it is very short, and I wanted some more background and character depth. But if you have a free hour and want to get grossed out, look no further. And I just saw that there is a sequel, so off I go to start it!

I set this down only to pick it right back up, the pace is so fast, I felt like I'd miss something while I was away.
Willard went from normal unassuming old dude to full throttle maniac with a shit ton of sex quirks.
I enjoyed the author's writing style. She's feisty for sure.

Holy shit, that was fun. First off, this book isn't for the squeamish or easily offended. If you lack morals and empathy, this is for you lol. Willard is a sick old man, but the author gives you a perspective that makes his insanity almost palatable. I won't post spoilers but the fight with the hooker made me laugh out loud. This is an easy read and I was able to get through it in one sitting (you might need a break to regain your composure after a few scenes). Another well done story by Sea Caummisar.

The dark mind of Sea Caummisar brings us a story that the director of ‘Boxing Helana‘ would call FUCKED UP!
I was lucky enough to scoop up an ARC, but mark your calendars... the Official Release Date is June 12, 2020 – Available for pre-order!

Acrotomophilia: The deriving of sexual gratification from fantasies or acts involving an amputee.

After Willard’s wife was disfigured in a car accident, he found himself to be even more attracted to her.
Then his obsession grew more everyday.

WARNING DISTURBING SCENES OF EXTREME VIOLENCE.

“Sometimes in life, people have a knack for things. Some people have a knack for art, or playing a musical instrument. It’s almost as if they were born with some sort of talent. Willard’s knack just happened to be abducting women and keeping them tied up.”

After an accident that causes his wife of 40 years to lose her leg, Willard sits in the hospital at her bedside and tries to sort through the various feelings he’s having.
And which one of those feelings – exactly, is causing the tent to form at the front of his pants?

Check out my complete, unedited, NSFW review here.

A good, quick read. Caummisar certainly knows what she's doing and doesn't shy away from the more graphic aspects of such a tale. I particularly enjoyed Willard's character, in that he's an older man, and the author brings some grounding to the proceedings with the restrictions of this character. Too many young, fit, and healthy killers going around with endless stamina and painless joints! I also liked the claustrophobic feel, as the carnage starts to mount up and it played on my neat freak anxiety. The house gets messier and messier, chapter by chapter.

My one gripe is that Willard tends to have a bit of a free ride. There's no real risk to him, either physically or from being found out. One would expect a bit of dark humour as Willard gets away with being caught by the ever thinning skin of his teeth, but he's getting a free ticket here. His accepting and nonchalant attitude to his fate, even as it arrives, makes it hard to create any kind of tension for Willard.

But that still, like Willard, has its charms. It's certainly a different approach, and is somewhat liberating from the usual script. I can't think of any other niggle (yeah, I'm stumped).

Keen to see Caummisar get her teeth into something longer and take the reader along for the ride.

My horror book group pals (yes they are sick!😂) urged me to read this!.
Geez, as this story started out I though 'Poor Willard' imagining the guilt he must of felt from the car accident leaving his Wife with an amputation and in a vegetative state then like a car crash the whole story tilts on his axis. Willard realises he's getting sexually aroused from his Wife's amputated leg and he becomes obsessed with it and doing things to it. The urge takes over him completely and it's all he can think of but things go really bad when it becomes infected. Still, like a man possessed he needs to satisfy his new found urges and he propositions two prostitutes but both them and him could never of guessed how far out of control his fantasies would get!.
Be prepared to squirm, human excrement, puss, bodily functions, dismemberment and plenty more are all included in this. Although some guilt, frustration and pain comes across from Willard what he is outdoing is completely outrageous, I did wonder what he was like before Acrotomophilia?.
Want a bizarre, unique gory story don't go any further I will be certainly interested to read other books by this author.

Freaking Awesome!

I love these type of Splatterpunk Novellas.. short, absolutely gross and usually nobody survives or gets away with stuff.

Willard and his wife had a bad accident. While Willard is pretty much unscathed, his wife is now an amputee, mentally incapacitated, and needs round-a-clock care from now on. Willard decides to take her home and take care of her and her new needs. Willard also discovers also his new fetish: Acrotomophilia.

Warning: this book is not for the faint of heart. Unless you’re into the extreme.

Well, I read that.

This is the story of a man who goes off the rails when he is left to care for his wife who is suddenly an amputee in a vegetative state after an accident for which he feels responsible. This new development in their lives awakens something in him, an amputee fetish. But as you’ll find, it’s much more than that. I found myself talking to Willard every time he descended just a little further into the dark recesses of his new hobby.

While I did like this one, I will say that some of the descriptions of sex and body parts were not great. But you know what, Caummisar is not an erotica writer. She writes horror. You are meant to be disturbed, not turned on and she accomplishes that.

I believe this is the most disturbing read of my life. From the very beginning of this book, I was thinking, "He's not going to do what I think he's gonna do. No, he did it. Okay, he's doing it again. Okay, it can't get worse than that, because that was pretty awful." And it did. This book when from a bad place and downward spiraled to an even worse and darker, demented place. It got bad. Shortly after I posted a quick blurb about this in the Books of Horror Facebook Group, someone chimed in that there is a second book to this madness. Hell yeah! Sea Caummisar, I appreciate you and your darkness. Keep them coming. That was utterly hellacious, mind-blowing, despicable and I loved it.

He has been told he is insane and has been sent to a mental hospital. He will have no assess to his weapon but that will not stop him. What will he do now? Can he still get his fix? See if he does

This was my second read from the author and one I will certainly remember!

Acrotomophilia Maniac is a wild, depraved horror tale, and I can safely say I have never read anything quite like this.

It's truly disgusting, infectiously fun (yep) and highly recommended for fans of exceptionally vile, nasty, and twisted horror.

It seems like I've been waiting forever to drop "Wookin pa nub in all da wong paces," into one of these reviews, for reasons I'm not even sure I myself understand. Sea Caummisar's delightful little tale of a man who just wants to make sweet love to lady stumps is graphic enough to make you gag a bit, but interesting enough to make you at least go through the trouble of setting something up to upchuck into so you don't have put the book down for too long. Starring Willard, a man who basically feels guilty for about five minutes about causing his wife to become incommunicado and a leg short of a pair, the story follows his half-assed attempt at being her primary caretaker before he figures out he'd rather screw around with her stump in ways that are definitely not recommended in any wound treatment training manual. When his first attempt at a human Fleshlight peters out, he concocts a plan to satisfy his newly found fetish that you're better off reading on your own than having me try to work through wiseassed wordplay to describe. Ms. Caummisar doesn't hold back with cleverly crafted, overly descriptive details that make you feel as if you're sitting on Willard's couch watching him work his way through doing the kind of shit a big brother might do to his little sister's Barbies. I'm cautiously optimistic to see if this wacky bastard has managed to perfect his craft in the sequel.

Willard causes a car accident and makes his wife a vegetable with a missing leg. This amputation starts to arouse him and there is lead in this guy's pecker. He thought the bandage around the stump was sexier than any lingerie he had ever seen. Shoving an ice pick into the pointy stump he decides he is going to enter with his meat stick. The stump later is oozing pus, blood, white stuff, mutilating his wife he justifies it as his awaken new sexual urge. Feeding her vegetable soup made Willard laugh. The stump is now blackened and his vegetative wife won't last any longer. Now his plaything is gone. Let's get some sex workers and lob off some limbs with a hacksaw and a chainsaw. His perversion of being balls deep in limbs has taken over his life. Willard is one sick depraved puppy.

This is by far the sickest, weirdest, most bizarre fetish I have never heard of before. I never even knew it existed. This is written so well that you can envision what the writer is writing and almost see the blood and gore oozing out of the open wounds. Shivers run thru my spine thinking of what I have just read.

I'd like to preface this review by mentioning I am actually an Acrotomophile myself.
Despite this, the book has never once made me aroused.
I initially bought the Audible version thinking it was going to be simple erotica. I was wrong.
As a result of my failure to notice the 'Horror' tag, I was quite surprised when the text got the 'splatter' kind of nasty.
I can't say I was ever explicitly disturbed and grossed out however. No doubt did I make a face or two and utter a silent "eww" on occasion while listening, but that's about it. I may be more desensitised than the average reader though.
The feeling I got from this book was that of watching a kind of boring splatter horror movie with good VFX but lacklustre acting.
I did however, on occasion, need to take a break from listening just because I could hardly handle the secondhand embarrassment and cringe I felt when hearing some of the lines, but that may have been due to my aforementioned predisposition.
The prose is average at best, but I do realise that unconventional language is sometimes required to convey a harrowing scene.
The author certainly doesn't paint a pleasing picture of the average amputee fetishist, but I expected as much and there was a disclaimer present at the beginning, so no points lost there and no hard feelings.
I unfortunately only made it through the whole book because I wanted to write this review, otherwise I would have most likely dropped it.
I can't quite honestly recommend this book, but if you're a literary fan of the (body) horror genre and only here for the gross, graphic descriptions of a perverted old man's actions, give it a try, sure.

Well, what can I say? I've read-and written myself-stories about bizarre fetishes and disorders but this one surpasses them all. Wonderfully weird and delightfully disturbing as our 'unfortunate' protagonist's disorder sees him slowly and surely succumb to even more depraving acts to satisfy his new-found 'hobby'. Just when I thought it couldn't possibly get any worse...it got doubly worse.
Despite the gravity of his actions, in a funny way I couldn't help feeling sorry for him, even when his actions spiral out of control and he gets himself into more and more trouble to fulfill his needs.
For those who like dark and disturbing body horror, I would certainly recommend it. But probably wouldn't recommend it to my mother-in-law...

Great read

This is another great read from this author. She has such an amazing imagination and has a way of drawing you in and telling a story in such amazing detail that you get hooked straight away. The characters in this book are few but they are all that is needed. I think that's why I loved this book. It was simple to the point and not over complicated. Just a great easy extreme read filled with lots of blood and gore of someone learning he has a fantasy and need. Definitely recommend

This book was literally insane! This was an all new level of disturbed 🤢
I'm giving it 5 starts because that is the felling I was supposed to get from it and thats how I felt in just 100 pages.
The description was insane when it came to the "stumps"

Willard causes an accident that leads to his wife having a traumatic brain injury, leaving her a vegetable as well as an amputee with the loss of her leg. This is how Willard discovers has acrotomophilia and begins to act on his desires. This book is truly insane and it turns out it there is a book 2!

Sea does it yet again! A repulsive story about someone who has a fetish with amputees. Ugh. Don’t think so. This is a horrid, graphically detailed book. Sea always reaches into her dark mind to pull out things that will shock us, make us think (hopefully about NOT following in the characters steps), giving us so much detail that we can actually see the book in our head. This one was pretty gross but was a step down from Scatology that I finished before this. I’m on an endeavor to finish all Sea’s books by the end of the year. I have about 19 to go. On to book 2 of Acrotomophilia.

Wow!!
This was another great read from the author.
Love how well fleshed out the characters are and the dynamics between them.
The plot and story line were extremely well written and flowed easily.
Thrilling and suspenseful mixed with twists.
Can't wait to read what the author brings out next.
Recommend reading highly.

Excellent read

Sick, twisted and gory... right up my alley... Willard, the main protagonist has a unrealized predilection that he pursues with reckless abandon when finally acted upon, which in turn makes for one hell of a bloody tale of self discovery and sexual gratification. I actually had to pause my read through of Acrotomophilia Maniac while eating lunch due to the authors graphic and very detailed story telling prowess. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

Well this was another extreme horror for sure! More than anything, I think I just felt so sad for his wife. She was forced to watch the man she loved defile her in such an egregious manner and thrown discard her like she was nothing! Really made me wish I could jump in the book and save her. Great writing & great read if you like to be grossed out (I do)

Oh, ya. This book is disgusting. Depraved. Gross. Barf worthy. Violent. Ridiculous. Why did I enjoy it so much? I'm stumped! Acrotomophilia. Attraction to amputees. Who knew?
I was gifted an Audible version of this book. The narrator was great. A nice deep, sexy voice. Not at all suited to old man Willard. But I enjoyed him immensely. 5 stars for him, too.

Wowzers. I made a cringe face reading almost every page. The most cringe part isn’t even the gore. It’s Willard’s blatant narcissism. I never wanted a villain to die so quickly or so badly for the to turn into a “good for her” story until I read this one. A very fast read. A page turner.

This is like an episode of SVU, but only in the POV of the sicko. Willard was an awful human even before an accident he caused, made his wife a vegetable and amputee.

Read at your own risk, some icky sexual scenes with stumps ...
