Who knew Bert and Ernie, Grover, Grouch, Cookie Monster, and Telly Monster were all there when Big Bird hatched? I didn't realize Big Bird was so young. Good thing they decided to hatch the egg instead of make a big omelette!
Vin started out interested but about half way through he began lose his focus...the appearance of Louis every few pages would disrupt his attention to the story and that's where it all went downhill. He loves seeing all his favorite Sesame Street characters and would be just as happy paging through looking at the illustrations in this one.
Not my favorite, but my daughter loves to read this book... over and over again.
Update: I'm adding a 4th star because my husband was shocked by my rating of 3 stars. As he pointed out, our daughter loves to read this book, and this is one of his favorites to read to her. That said, maybe I've just read it a few too many times to consider it one of my favorites...
The familiar Sesame Street characters populate this bedtime tale that is long enough and detailed enough to help even the most reluctant sleepers. The pictures are interesting but soothing enough not to excite kids.
