Emma has everything she wants. Good friends, family who loves her and the boyfriend of her dreams. She's also finally rid nemesis Bianca Smythe from her life.
But life is full of twists and turns. The first is a phone call from her mother, the one who abandoned her twenty years ago. Suddenly she wants a relationship, to patch things up with the daughter she dumped. Will Emma let her in to her now happy life?
The second is a chance encounter with Bianca in the school library. Their conversation will plant seeds of doubt about the only man Emma's ever loved. Could Bianca be telling the truth? And if she is, will Emma ever be able to forgive Zach?
Anna Albo was born and raised in Canada. She’s a prairie girl who loves the city. Anna is second generation Italian-Canadian, which means two things: she has a fiery temper and loves to cook. Both those qualities can be found in her books.
From new adult to chick lit and everything in between, Anna writes contemporary romance and women’s fiction that makes people laugh and love.
When Anna isn’t writing her latest book, she’s blogging about dogs, or healthy living, or enjoying a cup of tea while attempting to create a culinary masterpiece.
I liked the story and totally pay for "part two" but you have to get it through a different app. Radish can't be downloaded to your kindle and after checking the app out, it's chapter at a time not a whole book. And you have to pay per chapter. So a tv series in book form and you pay to watch each episode. No Thanks!! Let me know when an actual book comes out. You can call it 'Book 3' instead of "part 2" .
As much as I like to support new writers, Anna Albo just highlights why authors need to have their work published rather than self-publish.
This much is true is available on Wattpad, but half-finished and then refers readers to Radish to read the rest.
On Wattpad you have all the chapters to part 1 of the story and then 39 chapters of part 2. I have never heard of Radish until now and know why. Books are purchased as chapters or you have to wait each day to read one chapter at a time. Learning more about Radish it also explains why I found the first book the senators’ son so choppy.
It seems the more chapters Anna writes the more money she makes. Part two of This Much is True has 105 chapters, so if you wanted to read the whole book you either have to pay over a £100 or spend 3 and half months reading the book.
The first part of This Much is True, is pretty similar to the 1st book The Senator’s Son, there are a lot of gaps in the story that the writer could have developed more. Like the 1st book the chapters are short, and parts of the story are drag out in snippets.
Parts of the story that didn’t work for me in part 1, were
• Zach explanations as to why he kept the video of Bianca • Why Emma keeps the video so long and drags out meeting Bianca • Genie and Paul relationship and how that develops • Anna failure to develop how Zach and his friends may have pressured Bianca into doing what she did. • Also, at one-point Emma ask Zach if the video is a sex tap of Bianca, why she so shocked when she finds out it is.
After learning what Zach did to Bianca, it put me completely off his as a character. As for Emma either she condones that behaviour or doesn’t. There no real middle ground on that, hence Anna needed to really write the plot with a bit more structure of how the incident happened.
As for part two of the book, I cannot fully review it as I have only skimmed a few chapters of the end of the book on Radish plus read the 39 chapters on Wattpad. Overall, I got the feel it’s a poor version of the film The Way We Were. They breakup because they realize their worlds are too different.
Zach and Emma breakup early in part 2. At the end of Part 2 Zach decides to go to Yale and move to DC while Emma stays in New York. It seemed pointless Emma moving to New York for them to breakup as soon as they arrive.
The reason for the breakup is ridiculous, Emma breakup with Zach for not honest being with her, which is a bit hypocritical, as she not honest with him either. She never tells him about the fight with her dad, she doesn’t tell Zach she hates the new apartment or the location and just ups and leaves when she no longer wants to part of relationship.
In part 2 I found Emma unsupportive and a bit of a brat. First, she stops communication with her dad and then stop communication with Zach, yet she wants people to be open and honest with her. She also comes across a bit whiney, she been to Zach dad campaign events, yet she struggles to get the dress code right and so on when he asks her to attend her law college functions.
On Radish it shows there going to be another follow up and a part 3. However, as Zach and Emma are separate for most of part 2, it seems pointless for a follow up, especially as there an underline story that Paul and Genie are having a relationship. It seems weird that one twin is dating the dad and the other the daughter.
Overall the story feels with a soap opera rather than a romance novel. Radish may give writers a place to showcase their work, but I don’t think if offers any advice on the difference of writing a novel to a TV show. To the two mediums are very different and if the writer is confused, then are readers are going to be too.

When i first started reading these series they were so good but by the third book the author had completely ruined the story in multiple ways: 1) the main characters are emma and zach. Zach's sister Genie and Emma's dad Paul are now engaged to be married. Many readers have tried to voice their concerns to the author about this plotline but she has blocked all of us and called us 'trolls' on her twitter page. 2) This story is now on radish and is an ongoing story, each chapter barely has the main characters point of view anymore. Its filled with other character's viewpoints, which quite frankly, are too drama filled and messy to connect to. 3) the author has forgotten very important details of some of her characters from the first and second book and it shows throughout the third book. For instance Zach's eye colour is a dark chocolate brown but in one of the recent chapters of the third book, its been miraculously changed to blue. What author makes a mistake like that in her book? In total there are 10 mistakes like these made. One reader tried to point this out to warn future readers but was blocked by the author. 4) this story was originally on wattpad and the second and third books are available to read on radish. After the decline in views because of her decision to have genie and paul be a couple, the author decided to move her first book from wattpad (a free reading platform) to radish (a platform where you either have to wait a day to access a chapter or pay to read each chapter) to make more money. Please invest your time in a good book that is worth the read and has been written by an author who is dedicated and passionate about their work. That is definitely not Anna albo.
This book was ok. Much heavier than the first one. So I’ll give it a 2.5 stars. It was ok and I liked it but I’m no longer that invested. The book continues with the lives of Emma and Zach attending uni and living together. Gotta admit I didn’t love them not being together for most of the book. We find out what the evidence is that Zach has been holding over Bianca all this time, and it’s not great, and causes a Hugh rift between the two. Then there’s a lot of doubt and shitty mistakes make by Zach. It kinda made me lose faith in him a bit. They should have talked earlier, the need better communication.I have a feeling the second part of this book will have a few of the same type of issues, there was definitely some heavy hinting at Emma losing track of her dreams to support Zach and his political career. Overall this book wasn’t bad, but I don’t think I’ll read the next book.
We dodged a bullet here. Da hat einfach nix gepasst. Nix. Das war der unnötige Teil, aber man brauchte ja noch Drama, weil das Pärchen sich ja doch früh genug vertragen hat. Dabei ist der Schreibstil gar nicht so schlecht, gefällt mir - eigentlich. 🤡

This book and the first book should have been made into 1 book. This type of story doesn't need a sequel. A sequel would be during their years in new York and maybe eventually getting married, while working in a romance for his sister.
I liked the first and second parts. I bought them on Amazon Kindle. The third part is on the Radish app only. Almost 700 chapters. This is no longer a book but a soap opera. Lots of people and threads, endless drama. I'm not going to spend over £100 reading this. The author writes next chapters only to earn more money. Enough is enough. I'm looking for another book.
Do you ever want to jump inside the pages of a book and set some of the characters straight? That’s exactly how I felt about Emma, the main female character. That young, naive and inexperienced girl we fell in love with, ached for and rooted for in the first book, has changed. She simply doesn’t know a good thing when she sees it. Zach, her hero, her protector, her shield, is and always has been there for her. He was the main reason she survived all her bullies in the first book, The Senator’s Son.
You don’t have to read The Senator’s Son to understand this book, but it would be helpful as it provides background to what is happening now.
Back to Emma. Sometimes stubbornness gets confused with naivety. Zach fights fire with fire and knows how to keep Emma’s bullies at bay. We learned in book one, a very risqué video starring Bianca is in Zach’s possession . He uses it to keep Bianca in line and Emma safe. Bianca is the type of person that has absolutely no scruples. She’s a prima donna that will do anything and everything to get what she wants, regardless of who it hurts. Zach has to play hardball and threaten to release the video if Bianca steps out of line.
Emma no longer is that insecure, depressed young woman. It seems her insecurities have turned into stubbornness. During a weekend stay at that infamous cabin where it all began, Emma is conveniently approached by one of Bianca’s friends. Of course, she brings up the video making sure Emma knows about it and leads Emma to believe Zach not only used the video to blackmail Bianca into ‘playing nice’, but also indicates that Zack had Bianca blacklisted. Bianca has lost her social status …. no more party invites, no more sorority membership and very few friends. All it took was Bianca’s friend planting a seed in Emma’s mind to get her wanting to know what is on that video and what Zach’s role was.
Here is where I’m very, very disappointed in our girl, Emma. No longer is she that innocent girl our hearts went out to, she’s now way too stubborn and self-righteous for her own good. Yes, Zach used that video to hold over Bianca’s head. That was the only way to keep Emma safe from Bianca’s mental, emotional and yes, physical bullying. Zach is and always will be Emma’s protector. He truly loves her. But Emma gets all upset, demanding to see the video and wants to hold Zach accountable for what she saw. Remember, this video was taken way before Zach even knew of Emma’s existence. It was a video that was required to get into their sorority/fraternity… no video participation, no membership. Bianca wanted in at all costs. She willingly compromised herself.
So here’s my gripe with Emma. How could she not see Zach was protecting her from Bianca’s evil clutches? Had Zach released that video, it would have damaged him as much, if not more, than Bianca. However, he loved Emma enough to do that if necessary. Why blame Zack and feel sorry for Bianca. Bianca was not naive and willingly chose to play the starring role in the video.
Zach truly is a changed man, no longer that young teen needing a fraternity to build his ego. He’s grown up into a respectful young man. How is Emma so blind to this? And if she doesn’t cool in down a notch or two, she’ll lose him. My question to Emma: Is it worth it?
OBSERVATIONS: 👁Emma needs to wake up and smell the roses. Bianca is not and never will be a friend. How could Emma even think about trusting her with anything, let alone something that could harm the one person who loves her. 👁Bianca never shows any remorse or guilt. She only feels sorry for herself, for the consequences she suffers for the horrific things she’s done. 👁Many vile things happen to sorority/fraternity initiates. Bianca wasn’t the only pledge having to perform in this way. As disgusting as it is, this video situation probably is a lot more realistic than people realize. College administrators need to find a way to clamp down on these things.
This is one of the most frustrating and dragged out books I have ever read. The author is paid by the chapter on radish and because of this fact she has spoiled something that could have been really good. There are a lot of unnecessary characters and story lines with constant drama and walls put in place so the main characters never get together it has been spoiled and over worked its hard to keep up with, the chapters are extremely short and one book has 255 chapters. If I had known that this was the case before I started reeding I would not have gone so far down the rabbit hole. I wouldn't recommend this book to anyone it's a rip off and the author should not be allowed to do what she is doing but I guess ignorance is bliss.
(I can't stress enough how much this book is being starched and dragged out its ridiculous really)
I really enjoyed the first book, because even though some of the decisions were questionable and there's a very heavy theme of "not like other girls", the characters and their actions were developed and believable (other than the Bianca story line, but this is not a review of the first book).
I feel like everything that made the characters so likeable in the first book was destroyed in this one. Zach's actions in the second book didn't line up with his character in the first book. I fell in love with his character in the first book and was so disappointed. The drama with Emma's dad was absolutely unbelievable. I am too frustrated to talk about the rest or go into any more detail.
This is a story about a young woman getting through a betrayal and coming out of her shell to find her place in the world. She had a strong support system in her life and I wish the author would have thought through the choices they were making and then simply not make them. The dad should have stayed the wholesome dad he was. Grandpa and Wendy were still great. Emma deserved a real best friend. Genie should have remained that for her. Zach showed a lot of maturity in the first book and I absolutely don't believe that he would have acted the way he did in the second book during their time apart. He was supposed to be this honorable, kind, reasonable dreamy guy and instead he was turned into a pathetic, manipulative jerk when faced with any sign of trouble.
I was so excited to see so many additions to this story on Radish and wanted to continue the story. I am a firm believer that if there are well written characters, there doesn't need to be a ton of drama in a book to keep it interesting and engaging. I'd honestly read a bunch of books about Emma and Zach just doing cute couple stuff, living their lives and growing together. I will not be spending money to read a soap opera.
Respectfully, the author should consider writing a new book where it's revealed that everything after getting assaulted was a dream while Emma was in a coma and then Emma can wake up and the author can try again and not go completely off the rails.
This is the perfect continuation of The Senator's Son. Now we have Emma and Zack caught up in secrets and painful pasts. Following along as they navigate their relationship through these bumps and twists kept me on edge. These characters feel like people I know. They are true to life, mirroring real life reactions. I am always hoping for another peek into their lives, and this one doesn't disappoint. I wouldn't mind some spinoffs either!
The series is good and interesting but they need to make peace with their mind, this book is almost unfindable and when I finally finish this book I came to know that there are at least 2 more books of Zach and 4 more of them all, and all this on the app radish where you need coins to access to each chapter and mostly buy coins, to something like 600 chapters I don't what the author was thinking but it would have been easier to just roll all this part and make a 6 book series, is that two much to ask, because now I have read two books and are frustrated I didn't get an ending and wasted a few hours finding a way to make this whole thing work, and I give up, I hope they get their finally happy after. PS: Sorry just needed to vent my frustration, but seriously it is not worth it, the book 1 cover all you need
The books published on Amazon are great, but they are cliffhangers. The only way to finish the story is to download the Radish app. Radish makes you pay for coins to read each chapter and while I have continued to read on Radish, I am extremely disappointed. One chapter was just 3 paragraphs that were typed in twice to repeat themselves, and the chapters are extremely short. If you were reading them in print, they’d be a single page or less. Some chapters are nothing but babble and pondering that have nothing to do with the story. At this point, I don’t even care what happens and will go back to reading actual books on kindle that are worth the time and money. I really enjoyed the books on Amazon, so for me to leave a review like this is extremely disappointing. I usually never leave reviews like this, but I hope no one else gets caught up in this nonsense.
What an incredible second book. The way the story continues in "This Much Is True" was fabulous. It didn't feel dragged out. There were a few heart-stopping moments where I was on the edge of my seat screaming NO in my mind and ready to cry. I do wish it continued. I want to know about Zach and Emma's lives and the future holds for them. That was really the only downside of the novel. Very well written, small amount of spice. Full of all the emotions. Very good read, and please do another with their story. I would also love to read more about Brett. I don't know if he has his own novel, I will do research on it however, I feel like a can of worms was opened a little and left open a little. Nothing else happened there with was also disappointing.
This book was a nice steady read like the fist one, It was nice to follow the main characters further into the story.
It dragged on a little and the lead female came across a little childish, as she did in the first book. It helped to remember she was young in the book, and alot younger than I expected and read her to be.
The ending was nice, it brought me closure and left me with no questions. I feel content with where the story finished and I'm not left wondering which for me is great! I was also very happy with how it ended also.
I really enjoyed reading these books, and I'm likely to re-read them sometime in the future!
My love for Zach was clearly tested in this one. The fact that I felt betrayed and a pang of hurt over his actions makes me wanna rethink what Emma must have felt but I was glad to know how they tackled everything.
Spoiler Alert : I still think the whole drama revolving around Emma's father and Genie was a bit too much and unnecessary. They could have worked out the story without that. It just didn't make any sense.
Over all I've read this book more than a handful times and I don't think I am ever stopping again. Zach was my first ever book boyfriend that I completely fell in love with and he'll always be that. Until next time my love.

It is a sweet story of an innocent girl ( Emma) who's thrown into the snarky world of university rich kids. She's sharing with Jake, her best friend of 19 years, but falls foul of his girlfriend (Bianca) and her nasty friends. She meets Zach (a rich Senator's son) who takes an interest in her. Bianca upgrades her attacks on Emma, which resulted in Zach coming to her rescue. There is a HAE for these 2 after a few upsets, but I don't want to say anymore, and spoil the books for anyone else. Well worth the read..
I really loved both of these books. Emily and Zach are great together and they had a lot of twists and turns to get there. What I didn't like was finding out there is more to the story and I have to download an app that costs an exuberant amount of money to read. I think it was pretty sucky for the author to do especially after already purchasing the two books here.
As much as I enjoyed this book and the first it doesn’t really end and she is continuing to update it. But on an app. Where you have to purchase a chapter or wait hours. And with hundreds of chapters I can’t imagine what the cost will be or the wait time. So I wish I had seen a warning not to read it!
Not sure how, but it seems like I have read this before
It was good for what it was. A quick read. Somehow I kept getting the feeling I had read this before because the typical progression would happen. It felt like so many other books. Still glad I read it.
