Fast, Cheap and Viral by Aashish Chopra is a comprehensive account of how to create content on a shoe-string budget. The title itself sounds so enticing and as you flip the pages, I tell you, you'd be drawn into it. The author points out that there is a massive opportunity for marketing right now. A lot of content creators are churning a huge amount of content on a daily basis. But then, how you would stand out from the crowd? That's exactly what this book talks about.

The book contains tips to create viral content. In this regard, the author has made an effort to include his personal experiences with his learnings in order to bring out a realistic effect. He emphatically talks about creating share-worthy content and let it grow organically. Throughout the book, he draws a fine line of distinction between a content and an advertisement.

He stresses on the power of storytelling to bring about the tangible results and also, adding value to your consumers. In addition to this, the book briefly throws light on the importance of personal branding and how one must fight the challenges of competition & reducing attention span to build it.

The narrative is straight, structured, and to the point. In fact, I loved how a few illustrations are used alongside the text to make the overall presentation interesting. The book appears well-researched and very topical as this is the high time we realize the importance of meaningful content. In a nutshell, the book makes an ideal read for students, marketers, bloggers, and content creators. This book would definitely streamline your approach to produce a maximum profit on a low budget.

One of my dad's friends recommended this book to me in 2024, as I had just started venturing into social media marketing.

This is a super useful book if you're a beginner or seasoned. Each chapter focuses on a different aspect on how you create content with low budget. Very easy to understand and follow, written in simple language.

#fastcheapandviral by #aashishchopra is a wonderful book. Each content creator or blogger must read this book. It’s like a guide for all of them.
While reading this book I felt like I was attending a workshop. It’s that engaging.
The author explained each and every point in simple and crisp way. The illustrations and diagrams added a sparkle to the book.
The writing style of the author is simply lucid and appealing.
From the very first page it builds curiosity to know the secrets.
Each chapter has a Master key ( Guru mantra I learned from each chapter ). The author added some examples, case studies which again develops the interest of the reader.

A very actionable guide on, majorly, video making and marketing, but I guess the concepts are overarching enough to be applied to almost every form of content.

The author has done pretty well in demystifying the minutest of details that should be paid attention to not just pre-video but during and after launch phase as well. While the IUCTC framework the author suggests is a great place to start the video making journey, I think the book is mostly about being careful of the nifty details of video marketing and mindful of what you want to talk about.

One particular insightful piece of advice was, "with every piece of video (I'll stretch it to content) your product, you need to be aware of the kind of conversations it could start (not verbatim)."

Couple of things which I would have liked to see inside were, 1-2 instances of how a particular video didn't do well (as opposed to only the ones that did) and more actionable pointers for B2B video marketing.

Book Title: Fast, Cheap and Viral: How to Create Game-Changing Content on a Shoestring Budget
Author: Aashish Chopra
Format: Kindle

Book Title:
The title of the book ' Fast, Cheap and Viral ' is innovative and informative.

Book Cover:
The cover image of the book is a solid bright yellow colored background with text in black. The bright yellow gives a punch to pick up the book.

About the author:
Aashish Chopra is an award-winning viral video marketer, having made and marketed videos with millions of shares and gazillion views. His videos have hit 350 million views, with one becoming Asia's most shared branded Facebook post and another hitting 40 million views in a week. My review:
His video has gone viral, her photo has gone viral are the lines that are heard often these days. What does viral mean? It means the speed with which the information is being passed on but not like in some movie the man thinks it is about viral fever! Back in days, women were teased to be the carriers of news faster than the B.B.C. channel. Thanks to the internet which has lashed out this myth. Now everyone is equally participating in sharing news and thus making it viral. More than mouth publicity it is the internet that is responsible for the spread of news and information at a faster speed.

In this book, the author explains how to create viral content and especially viral videos that have quality content with maximum information within the very minute span of time. Somewhere in the chapters, he quotes it takes 8 seconds for a viewer to decide whether the video is worth watching or not. Because of the Brahmastra called swiping up and down on a touch screen phone, the viewer has full control over his choice and decision of what to watch and what not to. Thus, the below main topics are being sorted out to pioneer in the world of competition.

The points like -

1. Making the content share-worthy is one of the finest topics the author has discussed in part #2. It is the users who can create anything viral and big but not the creators. And hence, the focus must be on the creators who have to create. The quality content saves distribution costs instead of the users paying to watch it.

2. Selecting share-worthy topics is another important thing he mentioned. Inspirational, celebrating and timely topical content is to be more focused and with a new abbreviation (not exactly ) IUCTC is what he proposes to the readers to achieve a greater amount of user engagement.

3. For getting instant attention and impression creating worthy thumbnails is most important is what the author says in his next chapter. He stresses here on the time the user gets connected with the thumbnail. Therefore the aesthetics to be used in creating a nice thumbnail is very important.

4. Though the video lasts for a few seconds it is the storytelling in it is an important aspect. When people watch the video on mute, the content must portray the intention.

5. Aashish also gives the easiest way of creating good content using mobile phones themselves. Also, he gives an explanation in giving the differences between square and rectangular videos.

6. The next chapter is all about distributing the content. The effective ways of distributing without much financials included are given in the book.
Many things can be learned from the following chapters about branding etc.
Points I really like:
1. The intention of writing the book is pretty clear. It is to help and guide people who want to create quality content especially videos online
2. The power of social media is well articulated
3. The tips and tricks given are very informative and educative
4. More than just a theoretical approach, the author has presented his own trials, failures, and experiences
5. Subtly the author explains to his readers not to worry if a job is lost or you find yourself in the crossroads of life but be real, confident and strong
6. Every chapter there is a takeaway either for a started or for an experienced person.
7. Almost in every chapter, it is explained how mobile phones are extremely used and how internet usage is widely spread across the country
8. The author makes you travel from Mumbai local trains till Goa with his experiences
9. The book seems to be a light read with lots of information
10. The importance of content in every piece of work that will go online is explained profusely.

Points of concern:
1. At some points, the language is found too casual with some unwanted vocabulary
2. In some places, the information in the book is very basic which might not please the experienced people who create online video content.

Narration:
A very witty, easy, understandable and relatable narration is found in the book. Maybe the author has penned his own journey the writing seems to be honest and not fancy. The drawings in between the pages look like the author's original notes!

Language & Grammar:
A very simple language with is very casual is found in the book. What I really liked is the technical terms used, office and workplace-related vocabulary and some quote like sentences which are also mentioned as highlight points in the chapters.

My Final Verdict:
A good guide for beginners who blog, vlog and create videos.

Book Title: 4/5
Book Cover: 3/5
Inside the book: 3/5
Narration: 3/5
Language & Grammar: 3/5
Final Rating: 3/5

An amazingly practical DIY book on producing marketing content. The starting point is video but the principles can be applied to anything really.
The best part is that Aashish Chopra pre-empts pretty much every potential fear about producing content (topics, production issues, costs, fears) and dismantles them with easy-to-follow advice. And it is immensely reassuring that he has done all of it beforehand.
If you're looking to start experimenting for your company or yourself, this book is a great way to start!

Fast Cheap and Viral by @aashishchopra7 🍁
'Results are never in your hands, but your action and performance is'. This book is must read by BOOKSTAGRAMMERS AND VIDEO CONTENT MAKERS. If you really want to grow digitally it will help you lot. Just like a father of all content and marketing strategies over digital forum. Not much beating around the bush let's start with its finest glimpse over every action that can moulds your content to become more worthy.
🍁
The book narrates about the massive opportunity for the marketing and how do you turn yourself to bright up your marketing in content making. The author's job fire and his highest hit to self branding is really a most loved and inspirational read about this book. He hasn't given so many "gyaan" it's not that self help book but it's a self growth book. Authors has penned every prospect of working digitally to boost your reach at maximum level. How you can reach to maximum audience? What are the key factors behinds your content making and make it successful? What are some great thing we overlooked? There are plenty of such question which revolves around in every content writer and blogger and video maker. Here, the author has narrated the behind the scene of big achievements of some "Viral" videos and how it get viral on YouTube or Facebook or any digital network.
🌻
In today's generation we glued to social media apps and scroll thousands of content every day but very few hit the highest margin and fall in the category of viral section. So the major key behind every viral content is content itself. There are billions of internet user globally and we reach to very tiny proportion if we compare to everyday release of the videos. Authors main motive to write this book is all about to make you aware regarding the organic growth. There's so many competition and each video or content want to boom in their field but after so many time investment if you don't get that "boom" you feel the sense of failure but not to give bullshit over such thoughts and how to develop your own niche with the best tool and creativity. This book is a remarkable read.
Rating- 5/5

"Having a personal brand frees you from the rat race, kills job insecurity and outs you on the path to purpose-driven success."
~Aashish Chopra

Viral Marketing should not be a viral accident. Never have I read a book so sincerely dedicated to teaching us the basics of Content Marketing and strategies behind it. Swallowing all of the creative outlook to personal branding, building a platform for our business or work to grow and everything else needed in the process is explained so deeply and beautifully that I'm awed.

I remember when Aashish sir had advised me to read this book 📚 mindfully in order to get the idea behind writing this soulfully by him. Grateful for having went through every aspect of Creating Content with a different mindset and the only thing, needed is ye intent to add value to others' lives in some way or the other.

Creating video content is a must for each one of us these days, thanks to the attention-degrading opportunities created by Tik-tok, Instagram reels following the same path. This book highlights even the minutest of details every content creator needs to know of today. Creating an impact on the consumers' minds and a hell lot of simple and practically feasible life-hacks make this stand out in the crowd.

Parts I loved the most🔥:
1. The IUCTC (Inspirational, Useful, Celebrating, Topic, Changing) is amusing.
2. Brainstorming quite often and coming up with good and shareworthy content is the most dynamic thing.
3. Creating short-form content, giving attention to the details of the thumbnail helps drive engagement more often.
4. Speaker/character in the middle of the screen in the reel or video with something valuable grabs more engagement.
5. Views can be bought, but engagement is earned.
6. Marketing your content is the most important aspect in content creation.
7. Building your personal brand kills job insecurity and you'll love seeing your work and growth.
8. Conversation and relatability is the key.

These are just the beautiful and logical aspects this book has highlighted. I'd love to know the views of you guys in this review and whether you wish to read this in future.🤩

Hi guys! Hope you are doing well, today I am going to share my review on a book that I have been reading so far.
I haven’t finished reading the book, but I thought let's share my experience with you whatever I have read.
First, let's talk about the writer, so the writer Aashish Chopra is an award-winning marketer who made hundreds of viral videos with millions of shares. He is a sought-after speaker on viral video marketing and was featured in Forbes. And in this book he shares his secrets for creating share-worthy content with his personal experience, he had given his blueprint for getting results.
Aashish Chopra is a natural storyteller and a gifted content creator. In this book, he has written about his experiments in content and how they become viral one after the other.
The pattern of writing is simple and easily understandable by every reader. Every page I have read so far is a gold mine. Aashish has woven his experience into this magnum opus of content creation. At the start of the book, he had written about his interest in technology and how he was struggling with the ideas and fear of experimenting with his ideas.
He said, “Just like how a disability can lead people to build other strengths” he also wanted to make his absence of degree and job insecurity so irrelevant that it would not matter anymore.
In this book, he explains how to create viral content that has maximum information on a shoestring budget. The intention of writing this book is clear, It is for those people who want to create quality content. Aashish has well-articulated the power of social media in this book. The book is more than just a theoretical approach, Aashish presented his failure and experience very well. The book seems to be engaging till now. The writing seems to be very simple and honest.

This can be a good guide to start a content creator journey or a blog, vlog or video whatever you want to create.

‘Create Shareworthy Content’...

Only a shareworthy content is having potential to become viral.

& the best part, shareworthy content is quite cheap in distribution as well.

This makes sense and the book ‘Fast, Cheap & Viral’ suggests tools & methods to create shareworthy content. The book is essentially for the new age marketers and encapsulates the way social media behaves and reacts to video campaigns.

Aashish Chopra enthralls the reader with his learnings and experience, gained through numerous viral videos to his credit. While reading, I remembered his twinkling eyes from his first viral video and couldn’t stop smiling. He is indeed a guru of new age marketing and debunks the traditional costly approach.

In my opinion, the best part of the book is to establish the fact that creating shareworthy content & to some extent marketing, doesn’t require huge budget & expensive equipments. Even mobile phones if used effectively, can do wonders.

Creating a shareworthy content requires a lot of brainstorming. It should represent the DNA or ‘Why’ of an organization and must follow IUCTC (an acronym for Inspirational, Useful, Celebrating, Topical and Changing the world).

For me, the takeaway is ‘create for mobile’ and that means videos of say 1-2 min, in square format and coming to the point very fast .. in the first 3 seconds itself. Further, the comparison matrix for content marketing is to check the ‘shares’ and not the ‘views’ or even comments.

I have read it twice and found it useful in creating useful and shareworthy content. Thanks Aashish Chopra for this wonderful book.

What an excellent book to read in this day and age of content marketing. This book contains something that will motivate me to pursue my goals.

The book is primarily focused on providing a plan for developing video content and promoting it. However, video content isn't the only type of content available. So, while the book is primarily about video, it contains something for everyone.

It is both motivating and encouraging. Almost every page includes a notice to something significant underlined with this. As a result, you're aware that it's critical.

The book is based on the author's personal experiences and tried and true content marketing experiments. He is able to pinpoint some extremely fascinating content and marketing information. He occasionally brings up the viral videos he's made for Ixigo in order to emphasise his point, which adds authenticity to the situation.

Bloggers, vloggers, and other content providers are not the only ones who will benefit from this book. It is appropriate for anyone from a student to a marketing manager in a corporation. Advertisements and public relations are no longer effective. It's all about digital media, content, and customer engagement these days. The more organic engagement you can generate, the more authentic brand you can establish for yourself.

Thanks for reading...❣️

This is about how good one must practice self-branding to be successful on digital platforms. The titles are interesting and easy to follow the writings. In it, the author talks about the subject of success and how to be extraordinary to achieve every day success.

The evidences book provides are real life experiences, which are my favorite. Well the ideas are nothing extra ordinary, but does makes an interesting short read. This gives little details on how to create a content that could viral. This is written note on the personal experiences of the author himself. With the evolving digital world, the content should be worthy, meaningful enough to compete with the growing market. The illustrations form mind maps in remembering things quickly.

The well-researched, compact, mass-market experiences helps in increasing the skills at a higher rate to be profitable enough.
Some of the things include; shooting a video in perfect settings, editing it properly to minimize errors. Differentiates the videos shot on mobile and with a professional camera to make content worthy. How to write a blog and self-advertise. There is a lot of content  available on various platforms if you wish to research further.
Overall a good read. I rate it 3.5.

"Fast Cheap & Viral"- so much to say about this amazingly curated book by Aashish Chopra that has worked like a power tonic to my curious mind.
It's going to be a year soon, working at ixigo under his guidance with full of learnings and unlearnings and creating some mind blowing content together, as a team.
My journey at ixigo had started with this book and now, before entering to this new hopeful year, I feel super charged that I've read it again (with a new perspective).
Personally, I would like to recommend this book to those who want to make it big as a digital content creator, doesn't matter if you're a film school graduate or not. The language of this book is very friendly. In fact, the examples, relatable incidents, quirky sub headings (e.g. achhe din), summarised diagrams, algorithms of different platforms mentioned by him, excites the reader.
It's not just another book about content, it's a curation of experiences & experiments put together with his keen observation about the digital world.
Thank you for this book, Aashish Chopra 👌👏🏻

Sincerely,
A Curious Mind.

What an amazing book on making videos!

I had been looking for some real advice on making quality videos for quite some time; couldn't find any useful content on the net or in terms of books ...until I finally came across this one.
This book has been an eye-opener for me; It completely threw my existing assumptions on making viral videos out of the window. And it's so practical too, no gyan. I ended up almost highlight the entire book!
2 points that have stuck in my mind from the book "Nobody gives a F*** about you" and "content needs to be shareworthy."
In fact I used the tips in the book to make a video ( 10 cheesy things Not to say to a boss), it didn't go viral but I can safely say that it was the best video I had ever made.
Would highly recommend this book to all those who are keen on learning how to make engaging videos

It's a great book if you decide to 'forget' everything you already know about content & social media. Not because it's got bold new ideas or concepts, but because Aasish has done a good job of capturing everything that most content marketers know in a crisp book.

I'd give it 5 stars, but the very thing that makes this book special is what prevents it from making it perfect for me. And that's the simplicity.

As someone who's already had a taste of the content marketing world, many of these things are basic principles that you could find in any blog article. But I personally feel that there's a lot more to consistent virality that what's talked about here.

A nice short read regardless!

I picked this book up because of the recommendation of Sandeep Senan, Founder of Evobi Automations with whom I have been working as a content developer.

It's a very practical guide. Though primarily focuses on video content, it is easily relatable to all other forms of content. The language written is simple and easy to understand. The tips are very practical and highly actionable. The frameworks for generating, distributing content is amazing. There are illustrative diagrams which are both informative and entertaining.

In fact, in this one week, I have read a few chapters of this book twice and made notes which I would be working upon quite soon.

I must thank Sandeep Senan for this recommendation!

This is an exceptionally informative book. Aashish explains lots of strategies + lots of examples for each of them to create viral content.

The ideas aren't something that I would have considered while making content. But while reading each idea it sounds like it's something that's very obvious and it's mostly overlooked by people.

After he mentioned about the "brand DNA" I started seeing it everywhere in the content that brands promote, for example Nike. It's forever changed how I see advertisements. Now when looking at ads I'm able to see how brands are creating their ads based on their "brand DNA".

I've read uptil 2 chapters and I'm putting it down for long-term-reference until I get enough time to try them out.

Fast, Cheap, and Viral by Aashish Chopra is a guide for marketing and personal branding.

The book deals with topics like marketing with less budget, creating shareable content, driving engagement, and rectifying your former social media mistakes.

The author has described every concept so easily and effortlessly. He has used many examples which made it clearer to understand. He has also used pictures for a better insight of the concept.

I read the Marathi version of this book which is translated by Rohini Pethe. The language used in this book is suitable for beginners

Definitely recommended for bloggers, and content creators.

Aashish Chopra extracts essential learnings from his journey of developing share-worthy, organically-growing, viral content in the form of this book. He has painstakingly simplified concepts, some visualised pictorially, making it easy to understand for his readers. That, with a dash of humour and candour, makes it a delightful read.

In pursuit of bringing a method to the madness, this is a 101 of making videos that stand out in this world of low attention spans and content overload. Waiting for the next one from this author!

One thing that stood out in this book more than the other books that I read on marketing is that the author himself is so empathetic and so does the book. End of the day it's the user who matters!!

I liked when he said do not look at the users but look in the direction they do.

He ended the book with "Together we can make the world a better place. Before that, I never thought about marketing that way." And it's a huge mindset shift for me.

This is gonna serve as a manual for content creators. So much actionable advice that you'll come back to it again and again.
