They’d kill me if I claimed the innocent omega … One whiff of his scent and I know Evan needs to belong to me. The divine omega is the precious son of the redcap dragons, but I need to make him mine. They’ll never allow it. His uncle guards him like a precious gem and they treat him like he’ll break under any stress. But he’s stronger than that. And I want to give him the world.
But there’s no future for us. I was raised for war, not love, and an innocent man like Evan deserves someone gentle, someone better. And still I can’t let him go. With him I can have everything I’ve always wanted: love and a family to call my own.
The only way to claim him is to help him escape the sheltered life he’s always lived … but will making him mine place him in too much danger? How can I keep Evan safe, when I’m the one who’s put him at risk?

When Bishop a Blood dragon smells the most delicious scent he wants Evan. It’s mutual only Evan is kept isolated by his uncle Vince, alpha and leader. There is a reason why he’s kept by his uncle.
Evan doesn’t know anything about the outside world. Just kept uneducated by his uncle. After Bishop saved his Divine Omega, he tries to teach him what he knows. Evan can’t resist Bishop and his scent, he tries hard to tempt him. Bishop has his limitations to hold the sensual Evan at distance. At last, they grow to each other, intimately, emotionally instinctively. Bishop knows his mate is naive, thinking words will set him free.
I don’t want to spoil too much. At some moment everyone is seeking Bishop because he is the only one who can prevent Evan’s death. I loved this steady-paced story, captivatingly written. It was emotional, sweet, cruel at times but in the end, everything came together.
Evan and Bishop’s journey to a HEA was bumpy and challenging. Evan was sweet and his enthusiasm to learn about the 21st century was adorable. You don’t realise how sheltered his upbringing was until he starts asking questions.
Bishop had his hands full in the sweetest of ways. He was rough around the edge but with Evan, his rough edges smoothed out. Evan made him laugh & smile and it was beautiful watching Bishop come out of his shell.
Fantastic addition to a wonderful series!

Really loved Bishop & Evan. Evan was so endearing and lovely and Bishop was way so broody and perfect for Evan. Evan got Bishop to open up more and Bishop was so patient in helping Evan learn everything he had been sheltered from. It was wonderful to experience their coupling and I just loved their dynamic. I also ended up really liking Evan's uncle, which was great. At first and even during the last book I did not care for him at all. Gabriel Amari did a great job in narrating Evan and Bishop's story.
The woods were definitely too quiet, but Bishop didn’t scent anything, so he hoisted his pack and continued walking. He and his two friends, Ace and Ten, were all sensing something out there in the woods, but no one could identify what was tracking them. Each of them pulled out their weapon, but kept walking and talking as if nothing were wrong. They looked but Bishop felt his eyes slide past something and kept trying to focus when suddenly a dragon appeared, white-speckled gray with vivid green eyes, gnashing his teeth at them, then disappeared as a mirage. Sorcery! Then the real Cloud dragon appeared off to his left and smacked him into a tree with its tail. They all shifted and the fight continued until Ace let out a horrible roar of pain. Bishop had injured his opponent but let him go so he could see how badly Ace was injured as the other dragons ran off. Ace needed a tourniquet on his thigh, and they took him to the Redcaps they were meeting with.
As the commander of the Blood Dragon Sentinels, Bishop let them take Ace away for treatment while he greeted Vince. Then Vince took 30 men and went out to find the two dragons who had attacked them. Bishop and Ten went inside while the woman worked on Ace’s wound. Suddenly Bishop smelled a warm, sweet scent and spotted Evan, the Divine Omega, standing in the doorway.
Although Bishop had been raised to be the strong warrior he is, he has always wanted to find someone to love and create a family of his own. He wants Evan to be his, but Evan’s uncle will never allow it. There will be no future for them unless he helps Evan to escape from his suffocating uncle to live life fully. Will he go that far? Will the two of them be able to stay together?
I love all this author's dragon stories and this was no exception. If you have read "Escape" by Sean Ian O'Meidhir and Connal Braginsky and "Family Ties" by Susi Hawke and Christa Crown, this book has similarities to both those stories moved into the dragon realm. I do not mean to imply that this book is exactly like those, just that I was reminded of them while reading it and if you enjoyed those, you will enjoy this. It is its own story and stands alone. "Escape", dealt with a young man who had never been exposed to the world finding his true love and breaking free and "Family Ties" explained more about exactly how shifter pregnancies work and the complcations that can arise with them. This book has Evan and Bishop dealing with some of the same type of issues. Evan has been sheltered and protected all his life basically so his uncle can bargain with him as a mate for some powerful, respected dragon and make clan connections. When Bishop rescues Evan from an attack in the forest, they discover they are fated mates but when Bishop returns Evan to his uncle he is deemed "unworthy" of being Evan's mate. Evan may have led an incredibly sheltered life, but he knows what he wants and together he and Bishop arrange his escape. Evan is claimed but not fully mated by Bishop. Bishop tries to do what he thinks is the honorable thing and walks away without completing the mating bond with Evan but a pregnancy forces everyone to make some hard decisions about what is really important and our two guys finally get their HEA. We learn more about the world, how mating/bonding/pregnancy works in it and the complicated relationships among the dragon clans in this book which is always welcome.
I am enjoying the heck out of this series. This time around we have the rough and tumble take no prisoners warrior, Bishop and the gentle, innocent, never been outside his uncle's keep, Evan. These two guys are most definitely what the ying-yang represents.
I loved that Haven didn't make Bishop gorgeous, or ruggedly handsome, but gave him scars and showed the reader his battle-worn and curmudgeonly side at times. The side reflective of a dragon hundreds of years old, rather than one in his twenties, that is who Bishop is. I actually bought into Bishop's age and emotional battle weariness that he hides behind his dragon scales. Often authors TELL the readers a dragon is centuries old, then forget to show us that fact.
As for Evan, I totally bought he was a very young, almost borderline spoiled dragon. However, his reclusive upbringing by his uncle played a role in that significantly. Evan was perfect for Bishop and vice versa, just as Fate knew.
Bishop's role changes in the story, so the series from here takes a different turn. I'm excited about the next book, because one of Bishop's team has found his mate in MY neck of the woods (Helen, GEORGIA), and he is in danger. *gulp... On to book #4!
This Audiobook is quite satisfying if you are looking for an escape. Gabriel Amari is new to me, but I have enjoyed his Narration of this series immensely so far. Perhaps you will too.💕
The Story: 4.00 🌟 The Narration: 4.00 🌟 Overall: 4.00 beautiful-warrior-dragon-stars ✨✨✨✨
I received a complimentary audio copy of this book in exchange for my review.🌈
When Bishop first saw Evan he knew that they were meant to be together. But Vince his uncle told him that he wasn’t good enough to be Evan’s mate, he needed someone with more prestige than a sentinel warrior. Evan snuck out of the compound and Bishop saved Evan from a cloud dragon but he had to take Evan back to his uncle. But then Bishop went back and helped Evan get away, after awhile Bishop couldn’t resist Evan and Evan wanted him so they mated but Bishop didn’t claim him at the time. Evan went to talk to his uncle and he imprisoned Evan because the uncle wouldn’t accept the mating. But then he found out that Evan was pregnant then his uncle started to look for Bishop but he had moved away to try and not stay in close vicinity to Evan when he wasn’t allowed to be with him. But they had to find Bishop to claim Evan as he was dieing because he hadn’t been claimed by Bishop and also when he gave birth he wouldn’t make it. That scared Evan’s uncle more than him being claimed by Bishop, but it was very close call because Evan lost a lot of blood, but he was saved by all of the dragons giving him their blood. Then Evan was helping Bishop and his guys with their mission with his computer skills! Everything is great! Next book please!!
Exciting! Bishop, Commander of Blood Dragon Sentinels, Ace and Tennyson were on a mission to visit the Redcaps. Bishop was wary, sensing something. He knew they were being tracked. Bishop assurred the group that Vince of the Redcaps was expecting them. They were unexpectedly attacked by the last of the Cloud Dragons one of whom they vanquished. Ace was wounded. They made it to Vince's who offered medical help food and drink. Evan, Vince's nephew and a Divine Omega tried to sneak out but unexpectedly was attacked by the last of the Cloud Dragons. Bishop saved him, but a Redcap scouting party showed up and escorted Evan back. Vince protected Evan to the point of smothering him. Vince limited Evan's learning and exposure to life and the outside. He had never seen a car or a cell phone! Evan was ready to bust loose and live. Can Evan adjust to the outside world? Will the reality of life be too much for Evan? Can he return Bishop's feelings? Will Vince let Evan and Bishop mate? The adventure of the rest of Evan's life is fantastic, fun and wonderous. Good story. Well done! I received an ARC from Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This is a splendid MM/Mpreg dragon shifter romance with a suspenseful undertone & I enjoyed reading it. The well-developed characters are unique individuals with complex personalities although some of them are inclined to be strong-willed, there is one that is portrayed as being rather naïve. There is good support from the secondary characters. The plot is well-written & exceptionally captivating with interesting situations. There is: a dragon shifter commander (Bishop Cane) of the “Blood Dragons Sentinels” discovers that his mate (Evan) is the divine omega of the “Redcap Dragons” & decisions will have to be made, Evan’s controlling uncle (Vince), Bishop’s friends (Ace & Tennyson), mystery, dragon shifters, hunters, humans, missions, twists & turns, intrigue, suspense, action, adventure, danger, threats, enemies, conflict, violence, memories, attractions, mates, disagreements, captivity, heartache, anguish, confrontations, discovery, desperation, determination, loyalty, health issues, a claiming, some steam, contentment, love & a satisfying conclusion for this couple with a very interesting ending.
It was a nice, entertaining story featuring dragon shifters and divine omegas.
I love books with dragons in general and I absolutely ADORED Jill Haven's previous books. This time we have a clueless divine omega, who is not prepared for the XXI century. Not at all. He was kept locked all his life and once he escaped he is LOST in the world he doesn't know. On the other side we have a group of killers - strong and brutal.
The story is quite interesting, but it is unfortunately my least favorite book by this author. It is fast paced and nicely written, but I've never warmed up to MCs. They seriously irritated me. Evan is all cute, but also kind of childish and weird. He acts like a spoiled kid most of the time. He was supposed to be kept in isolation, without any information about world. He is a virgin, doens't know much about sex but he is constantly horny and wants Bishop all the time. I mean...... he was sooooooo unbelievable. Plus, all the crying made me want to punch him. HARD.
All in all, it is an interesting story for the lovers of Dragon Shifters and ppl who know how to deal with childish, annoying characters.

His Dragon Warrior by author Jill Haven is the third book in the Divine Dragon series. In this story we get to know Bishop and Evan. This story brings in characters we already know and love and adds to the politics of the world we are in. I would highly suggest reading this series in order. It is much more enjoyable that way. Bishop: he has spent the past 25 years working with the Blood Dragons. He has a team he works with, and he trusts with his life. I loved the dynamics of the team. Everyone has a different personality and they are fun to get to know. Bishop is not the kind to put someone at ease. He is dangerous but he has a loving heart he shows only to those closest to him. Evan: he draws Bishop in with his sweet scent. He has a dancer’s build and a pure heart. He is a curious soul with a fighting spirit. He is brave, strong, and reckless. Also, he is Omega. I loved this story. There are many layers to this world. I like how they are unfolding. It is a fast-paced action story with a touch of lore thrown in. I cannot wait for more from this series in the future.
To my ratings: A 3,5* is clicked with a 4* but in review marked as 3,5*:
5* - very very good and rare (it would be a Blow-Away-book like ‘Jesse's Smile’ or ‘Joey’ from Angelique Jurd, ‘Save the the kids’ series from EM Leya, ‘Love’s Tethered Heart’ from C.L. Etta or ‘Liberty’ from Seth King), it's like an A+
4* - very good and will be often reread and is a WOW-book with interesting plot and surprises (like most of Andrew Grey books and Davidson Kings 'Haven Hart'-series) it's like an A
3,5* - a really good book, which will be reread a few times (most romances where you can enjoy for relaxing and during waiting times in hospitals). I can recommend them definitively! It's like an B+
3* - it could be more then a one-time-reader (2-3 times a year), it's like a B
2* - it was ok to read, but it's more a one-time-reader (I wouldn't recommend it heartily, but it was ok) It's like a C-, D
1* - sorry, but that isn't really a book for me (too many mistakes, not nice plot, illogical, so an absolute NO-GO). It's like failure in the whole line, dismissed, repeat the class
Though it didn't take much for Bishop to win me over, I had a harder time relating to Evan because of how "damsel in distress" he sometimes acted. I completely understand why that was such a big part of his personality--I can only imagine how it would feel to go from being so sheltered to discovering technology and modern conveniences--but his naivety was too over-the-top for my liking. That didn't make his growing connection with Bishop less exciting for me--on the contrary, I loved watching the two of them together. Bishop seemed to be the only one taking Evan's imprisonment seriously, and I personally cannot believe that Vince didn't get any sort of punishment for locking Evan away the way he did. Either way, once the two of them were out adventuring, I enjoyed the storyline much more. I love how Evan became a valued member of Bishop's mission instead of turning into a baby-crazy omega like the others in this series have, and I'm excited to see where this business with the enforcement council and dragon hunters is going to go.

A scarred warrior & a divine omega are fated mates?
What a glorious third book in the Divine Dragons saga. I was drawn back into the world and the lives of the men who inhabit it. Old friends are back, as are old enemies. It is a tale of the loss of innocence, the awakening of feelings thought to be buried, determination, courage, and a journey to HEA that is fraught with obstacles. I loved this book. Bishop and Evan are destined to be together. But being a sentinel is all Bishop has ever known. Divine omega Evan had been cloistered his whole life. He wants out. With Bishop's help he learns there is a whole new world for him to dwell in. And a mate who loves him. It will take a medical emergency to unite these two. You will love this book! As the saga continues, I recommend reading the first two books in order. I can't wait for book 4. This book contains adult themes and language, mm sex and is intended for mature readers only.
4.5 Stars Sometimes protection can be taken too far. Keeping someone isolated - so insulated that they are unaware of the world around them might be helpful for the people keeping the naive innocent so segregated. But in the long run it makes the overly secluded person more vulnerable. Fated mates aren't paired together based on their different statuses in life though they can be kept apart because of them.
It was good for Bishop to finally get his story. It was also bittersweet because despite all he'd done right to help others including his mate's Clan he's still deemed not good enough for him. Not handsome enough, not rich enough, and certainly not smart enough.
On threat of death Bishop leaves his heart to help with the conundrum of the sudden and mysterious deaths being suffered by Dragons. Evan of the Redcap Dragons has led an insular life but seeking Freedom could have life-and-death consequences for the Omega.
Hold On To Your Hats... And Be Prepare To Be Surprised... by and1515
Evan was trapped behind the walls of the stronghold he lived in an was being smothered by his family in the name of keeping himself. Bishop is a fighter who notices a shy Evan but Vince his Uncle feels he's not right for his nephew. But he simply can't stay away even when he knows he should so the only thing left is to take matters in hand and oh boy does he ever an then some. Evan's tumultuous relationship with his uncle rears its ugly head in a big way. Sometimes things happen unexpectedly and there's no denying what will be. I've really enjoyed this book tremendously it has been an absolutely thrilling journey filled with wonderful drama, plenty of charm and downright captivating.

When Bishop first met Evan he knew there was something between them, then later when he helped Evan escape from his Uncles house sparks flew when they touched and even though Bishop tried to keep away it was usless. He is his Devine omega and he is now his, all Bishop has known is War but now he wants is a family.... a family with Evan, that is if he can and hope his uncle dosnt find out
A really great story and thoughly anticipated.. This Author certainly has done a great job of writing this truely exciting story. I really liked Evan for Bishop, even though Bishop had to show Evan a new World, because Evan had been kept away from the outside world. Eagely waiting another story by this Author. and i have given once more a full 5 stars.
Evan has been isolated and made to believe he lives during a past time period all his life. He is sweet, stronger and more intelligent than he is given credit for, yet has a naivety as well. Bishop was raised to be a warrior, has always wanted love and a family of his own, but has been made to feel unworthy. He is strong, lives simply, and has a huge heart. Evan and Bishop have a lot standing in the way of their happiness - past heartache, an uncle, a newly discovered threat - but they eventually acknowledge their love and have definitely earned their sweet HEA. While Evan and Bishop are set, the underlying storyline will continue.

This is book 3 to the Divine Dragons series and I loved it and the cover as well isn’t it gorgeous?. Fantastic m/m mpreg fated mated series with Bishop who is the commander of the Blood Dragon Sentinels Bishop and a couple of the others are walking through the forrest when they are attacked, injured Bishop is taken to the Redcap Dragons where he meets his mate Evan they mate but Bishop doesn’t claim Evan which brings all sorts of danger to Evan but I will let you find out the rest for yourself. I loved this story it’s a fantastic read and I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read.
This was a great follow up to the previous two books.
I quite liked Bishop and Evan. Their story was more heartbreaking in a way than the previous two.
I loved their relationship, the way they interact, the heat and the love that develops between them. I was rooting so hard for them and my heart kept breaking.
I quite liked seeing everyone again. The overarching story picks up more toward the second half of the book and I liked that. The plot thickened here, bringing new intrigue and more possibilities of what's to come.
Overall a great book that I really recommend (can be read alone but definitely best enjoyed after reading at least book 2)
This book explores an ages-old human drama, but with dragons. Privileged young man meets working warrior. Young man's family finds the suitor unsuitable and they are parted. Will a grand-baby make a difference? This is an enchanting love story with danger, drama, love, fated mates, and sacrifice. It is also a story of deciding what is important and what a life is worth. I loved Evan's strength and defiance to get what he wanted, and Bishop's efforts to do the right thing by him. They are such a great couple! I loved the twist on dragon babies and the necessity of mating for the omega and child.
I received an ARC and this is my honest, voluntary review.
His Dragon Warrior is the third book in the Divine Dragons series, and although it can be read as a standalone, I really suggest reading the first two books in the series in order to get a better understanding of the plot and worldbuilding. Plus, important secondary characters are introduced in the first two books. I liked this book best out of the entire series. Evan was an interesting character and I liked his wonder and curiosity with the world. Like the other books, there was a lot of fluff and action, and all the typical omegaverse tropes.
This book was soooo good.... I just loved Evan and Bishop even more... This was the most realistic so far in the series... The thing with the uncle was Confusing.... Was he good was he bad I don't know but it still came together in the end... Also how old was Evan and why was he raised with like no technology like he was in the 18th century or something that wasn't never really explained.... But again it still came together in the end so off to book 4
It Grabbed My attention and focus so strong I could not put it down. A word of advice when you get your copy. Grab a snack, a comfy seat, kick back and relax. You will not be moving until you finish this bad boy here. Remarkable job. Thanks for sharing.

The Dragon Warrior by Jill Haven is the third book in the Divine Dragons series. This paranormal shifter mpreg romance is packed with action, steam, angst, and a forbidden love. Evan and Bishop are great characters who face a bumpy road in this story but are sweet, sexy and wonderful to read about. Great addition to series.
The characters were well developed. I found it emotional in places, but i Loved Evan and Bishop together. It wasn't easy but they get through it. Evan does a lot of growing and finding himself, it was enjoyable to see how it all played out. It was suspenseful, but not heavy with action. It's worth the read.

In this book Bishop finds his mate in the very naive, almost criminally sequestered Evan, who can’t believe what year it is. I did enjoy this very easy to read book, i found that it was almost over before I realised, I would have liked more of Evan discovering the world and his likes and dislikes, I am, however looking forward to the next book.
This book 3 in the series featured another wonderful story about a divine omega and his mate. Full of romance, hot scenes in between a lot of action and danger this book is as good as any of the previous ones. Even if in my opinion this book can be read as standalone I strongly recommend to read it in order to fully enjoyed the complex plot, that involves known characters in the series. A wonderful reading!
I’m so happy for this one. I wanted Bishop’s story so badly. Evan and him get each other. Both trapped. Evan because of his uncle’s concern and Bishop by his own belief of how worthy he is and how others see him to be. They both had to learn to have faith in themselves and what they deserve. What an amazing read.
Evan and Bishop's story wonderful. Evan is so clueless about the world around him, but I think it's great how quickly he adapts. Bishop hasn't had an easy life, and a life with Evan might not be easy either. I like the other story elements that are part of this book and the others in this series. There is romance, but that is balanced with action. This is a great series!
