Very cute story about a little girl who wants to be a really scary monster, but her parents wish she would change her mind.

This book is about parents who want to pick out their child's Halloween costume. This really happens to poor kids, I mean really children don't get to make all that many decision. We choose what they are eating, make them go to school, tell them what time to go to bed. Seriously, let them choose their own Halloween costume. Just make sure you don't get it until right before Halloween, cause they will change their mind. That could be a whole other book.

This is a fun story that highlights the fact that parents often have desires and ambitions for their children that surpass and contradict the desires and ambitions of the child. The story is fun to read aloud and the illustrations are funny. I love that the grandmother is the source of wisdom and helps the child achieve her dreams. We really enjoyed reading this story together.
