Everyone is the problem, except for Kiki, it is never her, not even when it is her, and she is always thoughtful and caring one, not anyone else, because she follows her faith even though half the time or more she claims she tried to be understanding not judgemental but rinse and repeat on and on. Her mother had issues, her father had issues, her family and friends have issues, but not her, because she is just human so only she gets Grace or whatever, because she had postpartum depression, which was mentioned 2 while times then brushed away. The mother's narcissist issues were dealt with the same way, as were 2 unplanned pregnancies or 3 if you count the lady and the priest. The nanny and the overdone preaching as well as the supposed teaching badly overdone and poorly done. The red herrings stunk like day old fish. The so called solutions were mix of silly, stupid, unbelievable, convoluted, crazy, and imbecilic.
BTW, that sweetener has been said to be artificial in part, and the amount of carbs and sugar and breads alone would risk someone being diabetic or hypoglycemic, and using food emotionally is the opposite of healthy behavior. In fact, for all the pseudo preaching about alcohol, she mentions drinking a bunch of times, when she is not busy talking about how thin people are, or alternatively stuffing her face with junk.
Everyone else do not take care of themselves, while pregnant Kiki texts while driving, runs into trees, spouses beneath vehicles, stands outside on the cold with set clothes, goes off on people because she says she had enough yet these never-ending situations never get fully or even partially explained, not all the money from her husband, not the money to do with Eric's mother, not the money her previous landlord had, none of it. Not that I expected a coherent storyline after wading through 2 long collections of start stop flash back flash forward mishmash mess, but would have been nice to have gotten more than just a migraine out of this chore.
