I hated the heroine after that car scene. She acknowledged to herself she sucks at driving, drive anyway and then had the nerve to be angry/upset when he was mad, and mad that he was upset she might have done everything just to drive it. He was totally justified and I’m mad that it ended with him acting like he was in the wrong. The constant pouting was ridiculous, and together they ruined it for me. There wasn’t even any sex scenes to balance out all that stuff I hated, so it really just bombed for me. I didn’t mind the writing, but 100% hated the story.

Danielle works for Malcolm and his father at their business where they restore classic cars. She has been attracted to him for a while but doesn’t believe he feels the same way as he lives and breathes his job.

Malcolm is attracted to Danielle, but he is concerned that if they cross that line he will lose her both personally and professionally. When Danielle and Malcolm find themselves travelling to showcase the latest restoration, the chemistry between them ignites and they may just find the perfect balance in each other.

3.5 STARS

Cute short story and all, but that's just it. This was WAAAAY too short and should've been turned into a full on novel like the other 3 books in the main trilogy hence why only half a star. But other than that, the main trilogy predecessors were great and fun reads/audios and great stories. This one should've at least have been a full on novel and have it be 4 books in the series rather than just 3.5 books 🤷‍♀️

Such a cute title!! Not the normal kind of love story i go for (i am a sucker for enemies to lovers and fake dating tropes) but it was such a cute little story and really helped get me out of my reading funk and back on track for my yearly goal of 100 titles in 2021!

Pairing up Malcolm, a classic car restoration specialist with Dani, a gal who should probably stick to bumper car driving, makes for a funny and adorable read! After being in seemingly unrequited love with Mal for years, Dani hopes this road trip will be a turning point for their relationship. Mal is going to need to get out of his own way, before he misses the opportunity of a lifetime...to make Dani his.
Funny, sweet and so good, this surprise addition to Samantha Chase’s RoadTripping was the perfect, short read on a hot summer day!

This was surprise shirt story featuring in the Road Tripping series, and although it was short, it packed a punch.

Malcom and Dani are coworkers from the car restoration business, heading off to a car show across the country. Securely hiding feelings for each other, the closeness of the road trip and the ca5 show brings them together in a sexy night. But once returning home, their perfect road trip fling is out in the back burner. Malcolm needs yo step u to show Dani what she really means… or lose her and her clumsy ways forever.

There is so much more to this story than just the love of restoring classic cars for Dani and Malcolm but it is not until they are headed on a road trip to a car show that their true feeling are known. But will they be willing to put their working relationship in jeopardy? Or will the first move be one that takes then on a wild ride to finding true love? Once again Samantha Chase takes the reader on a road trip that they will not want to get off of. Filled with beautiful characters and a storyline that you with a smile on your face and happiness in your heart. This entire series should not be missed.

This was probably not worth the read. It a road trip one bed romance which should have been wonderful. But it was terrible. Danielle is awful and soooo annoying. Like why did she drive that car when she knew that she couldn’t, the entire reason for the road trip was for him take this 100,000 dollar car that he sold to a car show.

And why was she obsessed with all these pop culture references? Why did she feel so strongly that if you don’t know who the Kardashians are or ever been to Disney you were not worth. Huh?

Anyway not worth the 100 pg read. I just happened to have it on my kindle and I’m trying to read through those books

I listened to this on the Read Me Romance podcast. Head Over Wheels was cute and funny. Dani is smart but also quite a klutz and Malcolm is a gruff teddy bear. This novella was a great kick off to a new series that I'll have to check out.

Samantha Chase is one of my "go-to" authors and this quick read does not disappoint! My husband is a mechanic and he loves to restore cars for me so this story totally melted my heart.

I love the internal banter with both Malcom and Danielle. They have quietly shared the same feelings for each other for so long that when it finally boiled over one night during their road trip - their whole world changes. The setting was pretty perfect...just the right amount of heat...and guessing.

The ending...swoon-worthy! I would definitely recommend this story!

Perfect Little Short Story!

I have loved this Road Tripping series! Dani & Malcolm’s story is perfect and a quick read to squeeze in when there may not be time to read a full book. I love that there is is much said in fewer words because it’s just right! The setting of restoring classic cars is unique. Dani & Malcolm embark on a road trip to showcase a restored Corvette with a little bickering and romance along the way. I love road trips and I’ve greatly enjoyed this series based on road trips and love.

So good

Danielle and Malcolm have a crush on each other, but neither has made a move. Hey are on. Rod trip for work and the tides seem to be shifting.

This story is well written and immediately grabbed my attention with the chemistry between the two and the internal dialogue. As always there are parts of the characters that are relatable, humorous and perhaps frustrating, which always has me enjoying them, their struggles and successes even more. The ending is precious and I adore Malcolm Sr.

This is a great story and a fantastic addition to the RoadTripping series!

Head Over Wheels is a prequel to Samantha Chase's Roadtripping series, and features Danielle Perry and Malcom King. Malcom and his dad restore classic cars, and Danielle's been working as their office manager for a few years now. In that time, Danielle's not only whipped the office into shape, she's grown a crush on the taciturn Malcom.

A business road trip to a classic car show to show off one of their recent restorals gives these two a chance to spend a little non-work time together... and maybe discover that the crush? Entirely mutual... and maybe it's time to build that into something more.

Samantha Chase's story is a sweet and hot one, putting me in the mood for some time on the road with a hot guy who's definitely good with his hands.

A wild rollercoaster ride. Dani has the hots for Malcolm Jr. and he has the hots for her, but neither of them have the gumption to tell the other until they go on a road trip. In fact, Malcolm seems to be on the autism spectrum. He has no social skills and exhibits severe OCD tendencies. Yet Dani sees beyond that to the person behind his walls. And she wants him. The crazy miscommunication between the two make parts of the story difficult to read, but the growth in both characters is worth it.

Entertaining. Happily Ever After. Romantic. Steamy. Tragic. Whimsical. Wonderful characters.

I have never wanted to fight a fake woman so much in my whole life.
Who.... has 0 clue how to drive work with and show cars...and decides you knownwhat now that we've sold this 100,000 car let me nearly damage it and throw a fit like it's not my fault I don't know how to drive stick

Also who books a 1 bed hotel room with someone they have clearly never had a real conversation with and be shocked when he's upset

And also who talks that much on a road trip

And and who chooses fast food before getting on a road trip

I love this series so much!

Dani has been trying to catch Mal's attention for years. When they take a road trip together she sees her chance to take their relationship from friends to lovers. Mal doesn't make it easy. He's equal parts clueless and afraid. Their road trip leads eventually to romance but there's a lot of funny moments on the way.

This is a fun, fast story!! Definitely a must read.

“Head Over Wheels” A Road Trippin Short Story by Samantha Chase is another winner. This is one of those books you read in one sitting quick and entertaining. Ms. Chase wrote a wonderful story which drew me right in. Who doesn’t love a road trip especially during this crazy time? With all the funny twists and turns you will definitely be laughing the whole way through. This book kept me engaged and turning the pages I just couldn’t put it down. I just love this series. If you haven’t read the other books in this series I highly recommend them you won’t be sorry.

Samantha has done it again. She drew me into her wonderful world of storytelling when I read her debut novel Jordans Return(my absolute favourite book ever). Since then I have fallen in love with all her characters, whether it be The Montgomery's, The Shaughnessy's or Band of Brothers..I have never been disappointed. The Road Tripping Series has been a fun ride. I absolutely adored Head over Wheels.
This is a fabulous friends to lovers romance that gives you all the feels.

A laugh out loud riot of a story

This quick reading short story had me laughing out loud so much my family thought I was nuts. Malcolm and Dani work at his auto restoration shop. Both have feelings towards each other but don't realize it until they go on a road trip to an auto show to show off their last restoration. Lots of crazy antics, battles and sexy times. Samantha Chase has done a great job of creating a wonderful story.

Awww I'm a sucker for a friends to lovers romance. This novella was really well-written which in my opinion is pretty hard to do; There's always so much to fit in such a short time, but this one was executed really nicely. I love the narrator - she's always been one of my favorites. All in all, a really good RMR podcast.

This was a good book. I feel that it lacked in chemistry. I wish it wasn’t just bullet points about their love. I wanted to know more about the details of how they felt outside the bedroom. I feel like another one or two chapters would work. I feel like it was rush through the relationship. I need more of a background about them. Over all 4.1 stars

Really fun short story. Totally loved Dani and Malcolm Jr., and their story fits perfectly into the Road Trippin series. I have to say this couple is definitely one of my top two favorites and I enjoyed the road trip and the ending was too cute with the toy truck. I also think that Malcolm Sr., might also be a tad bit of a matchmaker… Great book!

I absolutely love this series. This short story was fun and wonderfully written. I read it in one seating but it’s not one to be missed. I loved how Dani and Malcolm each liked each but it took a bit to get together. I love new romance. This a great series so make sure to read the other books too. It’ll be a fun Road Tripping ride.

A refreshing shorter Road Tripping edition but not short on fun, heat, and great story! Mal and Dani are off to a car show, but spending time closely together getting to the venue is the challenge, both want to spend time together, both have feelings for each other they've not acted on. Can they, will they, oh boy.......great read - enjoy
