Time For Kids Biographies: Ronald Reagan, From Silver Screen to Oval Office describes the life of Ronald Reagan. It started out with a quote from Reagan which stated, “If I could do this, then truly and child in America had an opportunity to do it.” The book also gives information about Reagan’s childhood, background, and his life in college. It goes onto talk about his life after college when he was a radio host, a Hollywood actor, and his army career. The book also includes information about his family life with his wife and children, and eventually leads into his political career as a Governor of California and President of the United States. It concludes with his retirement and death. This book could be integrated into a social studies curriculum. Students could make a report on a biography of a famous person. The report would not necessarily need to be written, but could be presented orally, or students could create a visual aid.

This was a very interesting biography. A good read for kids of all ages. Another book that is good for a book report as well as an independent read.
