Ropes has always been a loyal brother since he joined The Burning Saints MC, and when Minus took over as president and said he was determined the club was going straight, Ropes had no problem with him but knew they needed a get a new profitable source of income or they would be in big trouble. So he did, and now it was time to confess to his prez. his guilty money making secret, and wow, what a secret.
This was such a fun read, a unique plot, laugh out loud moments and hot steamy action. And there’s friction in the club as not everyone is happy with the new life style, will there be war?
I love this authors style of writing, and Ropes was a past paced, fun read. All the characters were well developed, the dialogue flowed well and the storyline had me hooked. I highly recommend it!

Let's start off by saying this is a new author for us and we enjoyed our very first read by them.

Ropes and Devlin couldn't have been any more different yet perfect for one another.Ropes for the most part is mild mannered unless riled then he is deadly.Devlin on the other hand is funny, feisty, mouthy and a take no sh** kind of girl. This is my kind of girl ! lol

I have to say that I really loved the plot of the story as it was totally unexpected but, fun.One of the things we liked is that Ropes wasn't your typical biker type or so I thought.Ropes definitely fits into the lifestyle and all that and is rough around the edges but, he was so much more.

We found to be fun, smart, sexy, deadly, protective and a man who knows what he wants a makes no bones about it.I also loved that he had a sensitive side and was open about his insecurities and was open about them with his girl not something bikers usually do.All of these things just made us love him more."We loved seeing his softer side."

I loved how he came out to his president about his secret profession it was the funniest and most priceless moments ever. LOL

Devlin we found to be sexy, smart, smart mouthed, had a temper, driven, protective, possessive and just a lot of fun as she had a feisty personality."We just loved her!"

Overall this story was a lot of fun as it had and unusual plot and storyline had enough drama and a touching romance to keep you turning the pages to the very end.The story was filled with a great cast of characters and the main characters we easy to love.I will also say that the story brought us tons of laughs along with giving us tons of smiles and that is always a plus in my book.

Favorite quotes of ours

Ropes secret thoughts of Devlin

"One thousand pieces. No corners, no edges, give up now."

This was a really fun read for me.I would recommend it to all.I am looking forward to reading the series and also the latest releases to come.

5 stars from us

I loved this book. The more I read this series, the more I loved it. And I need the next book like now... :-)

This book was so different. I don't want to say a lot, but let me just tell you, when you start this book, it will shock you. I have read a lot of MC Books so far and this one I just had to LOL...
Ropes made me fall in love with him and Devlin was amazing. But he had his work cut out for him. Devlin was determined to follow her dream of being tattoo artist and there was no place for a guy in there. But she also can't help her attraction to the biker who has been asking her out for so long and has just sort of saved her life.

The chemistry between these two were hot, but Ropes also has a lot going on with his club trying to go legit and enemies are never far behind and its also hard when the members of your own club are not happy with the new leadership and wanting to go straight.

Lots of action, drama, angst and definitely some hot steamy scenes. Definitely another favourite for me from this author and I can't wait to read Sweet Pea!!

Title: Ropes
Author: Jack Davenport
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Rating: 4/5

ARC received in return for an honest review.

Loyal brother to his MC, The Burning Saints, that’s one of the ways you could describe Spencer 'Ropes' Kimble, he’s your typical big bad alpha-male biker yet he’s got a secret which totally contradicts that theory. With Minus taking over the role as club president and determined to keep the club on the straight and narrow new legit sources of income for the brothers is needed to keep them going, Ropes has that sorted on his end but the time has come to fill his Prez in on his money making secret and it’s one he never would have expected in a million years.

Devlin, she’s a smart, sassy, tough woman who’s had a rough past and now she’s got goals, ones she intends on seeing through, she’s got no interest in being involved with any man, her walls are well and truly built up however Ropes is determined to scale them and scale them he does, the pair end up falling in love rather quickly on the scale of things but together they are HOT, HOT, HOT and steamy.

A fun, unique, brilliantly written storyline with well developed characters and great dialogue which flowed effortlessly. I loved this authors style of writing and I’m looking forward to seeing what’s coming next from The Burnings Saints MC.

This author is new to me and I'm loving that I've found him! I'm only sorry that I've reached the end of the series; hopefully more books will follow. Ropes was a dream H. I won't mention what his secret talent is but it's a whopper! Didn't see that coming, believe me. I wasn't that crazy about Devlin. I really had to warm up to her. She was just a little rough around the edges for me and I didn't always appreciate the way she treated Ropes. That was really the only thing about the book that I didn't love and is the reason that I didn't give it 5 stars. Otherwise, it's one terrific read and I recommend it!

I didn't love this one as much as the first two but it was still a good story. Interesting characters - Ropes is quite the unique one - from the way he dresses to the way he talks. Interesting concept on the writing. Devlin was hard to take at times - she was a little hard on Ropes but when she explained her background it all came back to me. Love the tie in with Darien and Mack from the Dogs of Fire. I can't believe those scumbags - the Spiders are still lurking around and what a disappointment Wolf turned out to be. Looking forward to reading Sweet Pea's story. We got some background about him from Ropes and my heart went out to him and what he went through as a child.

It's not often that you find a book that satisfies all of your wants in one story. I love so many different types of books. This book is a perfect blend of Romantic Comedy and Bad A** MC Romance! Right from the beginning, Ropes and Devlin's interactions had me laughing.

Ropes is an enigma. He isn't a typical biker. Don't get me wrong, he's plenty hard core. There's just a whole entire side of himself that he hides from everyone. But he knows what he wants, and what he wants is Devlin. However, Devlin has issues! What she says, and what she means are often not the same. And she says whatever she thinks! But, like with most people, there are reasons for her issues.

This book isn't just an MC romance. There is so much more to this story than that. I loved the humor, as well as the chemistry between Devlin and Ropes. I loved the loyalty and family the MC presented. This book is just the right mix of hilarity and seriousness to give you a fun read!

As funny as this book can be, there are some suspenseful parts, that can cause triggers. After all, it is an MC book.

Ropes is an underground romance writer, writing under the name, Clay Morninwood. He has a rep, to protect within the club. The book opens up with a hot, and heavy sex scene. Of course, you would think it is our two main characters, but no. He puts his computer away when he was finally, called into, Minus’ office. Minus is the president of the MC.

Who is struggling, to fulfill the last dying wish of their previous club president. His vision was, to have the club go legit. As he had done since, the beginning of the club, he had made positive changes. All as the climate of the times changed. He knew changes were coming, and wanted basically, to protect his sons.

It’s been almost ten years, and, Minus is president, his best friend, Clutch the Sergeant at Arms, And, Ropes and his brother, Sweet Pea, are still loyal soldiers. Not officers, but high-ranking and well-respected, the way, Ropes liked it.

Ropes is there, to present an idea. Minus had said, to all members, to find new and legal ways for the club, to earn money. They are to present the ideas, to him, as soon as, possible, Ropes was nervous because of the nature of his suggestion. Most people fain a distaste for romance or erotica. So, he went for it.

At Sally Anne’s, it is packed just the way Devlin liked it. She could use the tips. Waitressing is not her end game. Owning her own tattoo shop is. So, working at Sally’s, and bouncing from tattoo shops to do work, for her the hustle is worth it. When she heads to a table of clean-cut “Three Nerdmigos” she is not happy when they all order water only. Then when they tell her what they are there for she is livid.

She fills Sally in and Sally goes to the games area and explains she’s in business to sell booze, not house manchildren playing games. Especially, a game that is broken. The president of the group offers to buy it. But, Devlin starts a bidding negotiation between him and Sally who has said nothing. Then out of nowhere, Ropes says, not to sell it to him considering it's worth over Twenty thousand. Now, she’s pissed...

Funny book. Loved the characters. I loved seeing, Ropes’ insecurities and, Devlin being able to walk him through them. Because she has her own troubled background that causes panic attacks, and anxiety to spring up for her, too.

First...I want to hit on a point in the book about midway through...is this how new authors feel when they go to their first signing? I would definitely feel the same way as "Clay" did then. He made me nervous for him. OK, now back to this book. I really liked the premise of this story, bikers going legit, I loved the love story, I even liked that one of these big, alpha bikers was a romance author...hey, stranger things have happened. I loved Ropes...the majority of the time, except when he lost his "cool" on the ship and well, he made Devlin look like the badass; which was great an all because she was protecting what was hers, but dude...biker turned to puff? I was so glad when they left that ship and returned to the land of the MC. For me, although there were some entertaining moments on the ship, what took place prior to the signing and after the signing was the best parts. Other than the signing portion of the book (my own opinion now), the rest of the story was fantastic and definitely set the stage for the next book. I loved the struggle between Devlin and Ropes, the angst before the "date..not a date". And I did love how these two opened up to each other fairly quickly in this book rather than making you wait until just past mid-point to find out what their issues were. The business with the club begins to heat up and I certainly look forward to seeing where this all leads, as well as reading Sweet Pea's story.

The characters were well written and well defined. Devlin's character has been through a rough past, a very rough past. She has set goals for herself and has every intention of seeing them through. She's smart, sexy, sassy and tough. Ropes is cover model handsome. Smart, talented, tough and violent when needed. He's also a closet romance author. Well that is until he isn't. These two fall in love quickly and their passion burns bright so be careful or you may get a little scorched (from them and from the words of Ropes' "Clay's" next work).

I did thoroughly enjoy this book for the most part (again...it was the ship that did it) and I do look forward to reading Sweet Pea's story and see what happens with the club and their troubles. I do recommend this book.

I love the Burning Saints series and the author has given us a great addition with “Ropes”. The club is trying to go legit, something that doesn’t settle well with some of the older members. So the club has its fair share of inner turmoil and action in this storyline. To top off the grumbling, the new Prez, Minus, has asked for ideas for legit ways the club can make money (besides strip clubs). The Prez was getting all kinds of crazy ideas but Ropes idea may of been the craziest or was it? You see Ropes has been writing romance novels under a pen name, and he wants the club to back him with travel and book signings, etc. But Ropes (pen name Clay) soon finds out being an newbie author around a group of established authors and fans may not be as rosy as it sounds. Luckily for Ropes, he’s found his muse in Devlin and she agrees to tag along with him on a book signing cruise. And may I say thank goodness because Devlin becomes a protective mama bear when things get a little dicey for Ropes (her Claws and mouthy side come out to play).

The developing connection between Ropes and Devlin is amazing. The biker side of Ropes is a character that is tough, sexy and romantic all rolled up into one. The storyline is fabulous, it has humor, romance, biker action and brotherhood, all the things I love in an MC book. My only criticism, if I had to give one, would be when Ropes author persona, Clay, comes out. I had a real hard time with this tough, charismatic, cocky biker that seemed to draw all the attention when he walked into a room, being shy and feeling lesser than in any situation. I loved the fact that he had a romantic literary side, I just wish he’d of kept his Ropes persona when he was in author mode. But that’s just my humble opinion. I still loved the book and Highly Recommend it and the series and I am very anxiously awaiting the next book which is Sweet Pea’s story.

This is the first book I have read from Jack Davenport and this will not be the last one I read from him. I loved every minute of this story. I was flipping through the pages at lightning speed because I just had to know what happened next. I love an alpha male biker who takes no shizz from anyone and that was Ropes.

We meet Ropes and Devlin in this story. Ropes is a member of The Burning Saints and he loves his club and his brothers. He lives life to the fullest and has a secret he is keeping from the club and his brothers. Lord this secret is a doozy and when the club finds out they roast him something fierce.

Devlin poor Devlin she has had a hard life and is determined to do better. She has dreams of opening a tattoo shop and she is working the clubhouse as a waitress in the bar. When she sees Ropes she is hooked right from the start and wants him but she fights her desires and tries to stay away from him.

That is until one day they give in to their lust and HOLY HELL what an explosion that was. They were off the chart and when they came together I needed a TALL glass of ice because they were hot and steamy! Devlin soon finds out what secrets Ropes hold and she supports him and stands behind him 100%

Then the club has a threat come to their door and all hell breaks loose and Ropes is one bad motherf$%#@& along with his brothers who fight for their club and their brothers in it. To top all this off Minus the new President of the club is trying to change the direction the club is going in and the brothers are not liking that one bit.

If you love MC books like I do you will love this one because it has so many twists and turns that it will keep you guessing what is going to happen next.

What do you think of when you think MC guy? Certainly not Ropes' secret. (sorry no spoilers) He does belong to the club. He is a loyal member and he does want Devlin. She's gorgeous, tatted, and wants nothing to do with him. Well, she doesn't want to want anything to do with him. Until the night he steps into her business. After blasting him the last thing she expects is to be invited out. No way. She's working for her dream and doesn't have time for badboys.

Things change when he takes on the guy who bothered her earlier and shows up in the bar parking lot looking to take out his anger on her. Ropes steps in again to the loss of the other guy. When he realizes she is in a panic he takes her home and waits with her.

Finally agreeing to go out with him she finds he's nothing like what she thought and what experience has taught her. In fact, the whole club is different. As they start to get to know each other, she finds his "references" know he's different too.

Ropes has a lot going on, Devilin, the club, and the enemies of the club, members who don't like the changes being made by the new prez, Devlin and his business venture. Their relationship takes a positive turn and she becomes his support. Will their enemies give them a chance or even let them live?

I really liked both Dev and Ropes. Her past was revealed a little on the fast side, however, I was all in for their relationship. His background is interesting. Their relationship is steamy. The conflict is strong. Not one to miss.

With Ropes you are privy to the udder delights of what it looks like when art imitate life as it were in the most spectacular fashion. Devlin has a very specific set of goals and she will not be distracted from achieving them, especially by the charming, sexy, and persistent biker that seems to have is eyes set on her. When Ropes proves that he has follow up to go along with that persistent she realizes she never stood a chance again him. Ropes is not your average biker! While he does have a penchant for Dexteresque justice that has earned him a respected and feared nickname, these days he’s more likely to be found behind a keyboard than sporting brass knuckles. What his brothers don’t know is that he has quite the talent for writing the hottest MC romance this side of Mississippi. Getting these guys to accept his calling is gonna take a lot of patience and turning the other cheek, but he has a reason to set out of writing shadows The Burning Saints are turning over a new leaf and he wants his books to be a part of their new revenue source. Now if he could just get his little muse to give him the time of the day everything in his life would be gravy. Devlin has bewitched him mind body and soul. There’s no doubt in his mind as to where and what he wants to do with the feisty woman, but getting her to eye to eye with him is going to be a challenge. Add in a fracturing club and Ropes has his hands full, but as long as he has his brothers by his side there is nothing they can’t weather.

I voluntarily read an advance reader copy of this book

Spencer 'Ropes' Kimble is a loyal brother in the Burning Saints MC, who has a secret hobby that would get him a lot of crap from his other brothers if revealed. Devlin Walker is a feisty, independent woman who refuses to get involved with any man as she has past demons that no one knows about. However, Ropes is determined to get past her walls, no matter how hard she tries to keep him at arms length, he just won't stop. Finally, they hook up, and it's hot hot hot, but then, she freaks out, and kicks him out, but that doesn't deter Ropes, as he just doesn't give up. And thus keeps the push & pull journey going which frustrated me to no end. At times, I really got tired of Devlin's stubbornness, until I got her whole story, but that was a bit into the story. And that's when the story started really picking up for me, as the club business also got more exciting as well with some surprising twists that came out of nowhere. Until that point, it was a bit slow, which is why I didn't give it that last star to be honest. Otherwise, I loved the originality of the rest of it, as I've never read a biker with Ropes' original way of making money, which also really added some hilarious moments, and I don't want to reveal what they were. I can say some of those moments were also some of the HOTTEST moments between Ropes & Devlin as well! Anyway, I do LOVE this series, and Jack Davenport's talented writing style, so HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Shame on me for not dropping everything and reading this story. I missed out on weeks of happy memories as Ropes worked through his issues, worked to win the girl and protect his club.

I think one of my favorite moments was when Ropes presented his idea of making money to the club (sorry, I am not going to tell you what it is. You need to read this amazing story and devour the awkwardness of his chosen career.) Although his confessions to Devlin are a strong contender.

Devlin is one of my favorite female characters in the series. When she was introduced I guessed at part of her history. It just made sense and it makes her an amazing character. She is working as a waitress at the bar and trying to become established as a tattoo artist. She is also emotionally lost, damaged, and afraid. She wants nothing to do with Roper or any other man....until he weasels his way in and won't let go.

This story isn't just a fantastic romance that left a really big smile on my face. It is packed with conflict between members that object to becoming a clean club. Tensions between the Burning Saints and the spiders is growing. Fear, anger and hatred exudes from the pages leading to great anticipation of future stories.

I happened on Jack Davenport's other half, Piper Davenport, about a month ago, and reading her first book led me to the next and the next and the next until I was reading all of them. Part way through her series I noticed that her characters were overlapping with another series by Jack Davenport. I tried to leave that series alone, but just couldn't and I'm so glad I didn't. Burning Saints MC is a fantastic series, full of exciting, sexy characters. Ropes is the 3rd book in this series and it is so great. Ropes is the sexiest, sweetest guy with a hilarious deep dark secret...oh my gosh, so hilarious...and Devlin is a struggling part time waitress, who doesn't want to be a waitress, who Rain homes in on and decides she will be his. This story is full of heat and excitement and so many funny scenes, you start reading and all of the sudden the story is over...makes you want to cry...huge ugly tears! Give this book a read, but before you do, go back and read Minus and Clutch and if you really want the entire picture read all of Piper Davenport's books too. Even the ones that don't overlap are more than fabulous!

This is the third book in the Burning Saints series. In my humble opinion they just keep getting better and better. Ropes explaining his business plan to Minus was too funny. I absolutely loved the reaction from Minus. There were a lot of light moments in this story.

Let’s talk about Devlin and Ropes. There was just enough amount of sexy times and they were HOT. Yes Jack Davenport can right intimate moments well! Each book gets better and better.

This couple’s relationship is not only believable, I kept wondering which of these scenes were real life for the author. The whole premise of a biker having this profession (trying to avoid spoilers) is actually quite amusing.

This book has love, betrayal, brotherhood and it leaves you wanting the next book badly. Just for the record I think Wolf is a PAB (pussy a@@ bi@@@). Big Pecker and Little Pecker are great names. This should definitely be put on your to be read pile NOW.

I absolutely freaking loved this latest installment of the Burning Saints MC series!!! Ropes has been a dedicated member to the MC but he has a secret that he's afraid that might make him the joke of the MC. Devlin has goals....she might be a waitress now but that is only a stepping stone to her real passion owning her own tattoo shop. Ropes finally gets his chance with her and gets her to agree to go on a date. She quickly learns that he isn't the typical biker dude. Everything about Ropes is exactly what she needs even though she doesn't quite realize it yet. Of course the enemies aren't too far behind and could possibly tear the relationship up before it even really begins. This book is just more than a MC romance.....there is humor, insane chemistry between the couple and so much more. I loved everything about this book and would highly recommend it to all. I can't wait for Sweet Pea's story to be here next. A phenomenal story by this talented author.....well done!!!!

On fire

Ropes is badass, biker, fighter, ....romance writer? Ropes is a man of many talents. He loves his club and when it was decided a change was needed he stands behind his new president. When yhe club needs ways to make clean money he steps up.
Devlin is just trying to make her own way. Saving to open up her own tattoo parlor and working at the local watering hole.
Ropes trys to smooth his way into Devlin's life, but this girl isn't budging. One night he saves her life and just like Prince Charming he gets the girl....well maybe not that easy...lol
Jack Davenport you have amazed me. I am so enjoying the Burning Saints. I have never really been a male author reader, but you are changing my opinion one book at a time. Ropes is funny, tough, and has a hot factor of 10+. While I was reading this book all I could think was how personal it must have been for you to write. Good job...and Imma gonna need Sweet Pea really soon...k.

Burning Saints book 3, the little teaser in Clutch really had me wondering what Ropes had proposed as a legit money maker for turning the Burning Saints into a clean MC. I was pleasantly surprised Ropes plan that had so baffled Minus, the MC president.

I truly think, currently, Ropes has to be my favorite MC member. And not just because he writes romances either. He has a very interesting past that has led him to this point. Devlin is a strong woman to have lived through what she has. The two together make an interesting pair, but the best part was they continually had each other’s back. One would start to fall apart, the other was right there to put the pieces back.

I really loved the “nod” to real life events, and I, for one, have to wonder how much of that was “pulled” from real life. But no matter what, Mr. Davenport is not leading this MC down an easy path and there are plenty of twists and surprises. And because of that, I highly recommended reading this series in order.

Ropes had a little different feel to it to me. I think because it followed the 'going legit' pitch that Minus mandated from each of his guys as opposed to more of the MC that I'm used to. That's not a bad thing, just different. There's still tension in the clubhouse, we just don't get to see as much of it, along with the strife and what happens when you go after someone's old lady.... bad idea.
Ropes pitches his idea and with a little teasing at first he finally gets the ok to pursue it. While he's pursuing that, he's also finally gotten his foot in the door with Devlin, the newest addition to Sally Ann's staff. To say Devlin is guarded, is the understatement of the year. There are three pushes to every pull with her. She doesn't know any other way. Lucky for us, Ropes is persistent. As they finally open up about their pasts they grow closer, little by little, this might just work out.
I loved the nod to the 'Books and Booze Cruise', been there with ya the last two years.

Sliced Like Butter On A Hot Day!

That is how I read the first 3 books in the Burning Saints series. Each one kept getting better! It wasn't due to knowing the characters beforehand, either. The author doesn't do pre-recognition of characters from one book to the next. He is so good about quickly and concisely introducing the 2 love interests in the first 2 chapters of the book. By the time we get to the hookup, we can already see where we're going. Not that he doesn't make that whole phase amazing to read. In fact, he threw some doozy plot points in, such as psycho pinball nerds; a serious/parody of his own writing; a romance writers convention; alongside biker bad*ssery; and the most delicious doughnuts on Earth! AND, the stunning chemistry between the two lovebirds.

I'm straining at the bit to buy the last two books in the series &/or Piper Davenport's biker series. It sounds fabulous, too. Both sets have the first book free, so what are you waiting for?

Oh my gosh, this series is fabulous and just getting better! Ropes and Devlin are hot, sexy and funny, a true joy to read. This book had a lot of action, but dealt mostly with the new and crazy relationship between Ropes and his muse. Not giving anything away, but Ropes unique money making venture is a little off the beaten path for a tough biker. This series is really heating up and I’m so looking forward to Sweet Pea’s book, he is truly an intriguing character. Great job, as usual, Mr. Davenport, I’m waiting impatiently for your next installment of the Burning Saints MC saga, I know it’ll be great. I also now need to purchase Ryder and probably Reese too, my curiosity is getting the best of me. Loved the book and the series, highly recommend it.

Ropes by Jack Davenport is book three in the Burning Saints MC series. Reading in order is not required for this series. It is so much more than your typical MC story. It’s about finding where you belong and overcoming your past along the way.

Ropes is a soldier in the Burning Saints MC but there are many secrets and talents that lurk beneath his kutte. He does what is asked of him, loyal to his core. He is confident, well-spoken, protective, and all alpha.

Devlin waitresses at Sally Anne’s a club owned business. She is focused on saving up to open her own tattoo parlor. She puts up walls to keep everyone. She is full of sass and completely passionate about her art.

Ropes is drawn to Devlin from the first moment he sees her. If only he could get her to lower her walls long enough to see him too. Devlin assumes Ropes is just another man trying to add a notch on his bedpost. One night at the bar a customer gets out of hand and Ropes steps in to help which only seems to infuriate Devlin more. Later that night she gives in to her desires and in the heat of their passion never even make it to the bedroom. She continues to try to fight their connection. With her past creeping into her present can she ignore her feelings forever?

This story is told in both Ropes and Devlin’s POV giving us a fuller perspectives. Their passion heats up with every look and lingering touch. They each have so much depth and their connection feels natural. I absolutely enjoyed their banter. We also get to see a completely vulnerable side to Ropes that made me swoon that little bit more. The emotional journey and struggles of both characters hooked me and never let me go. We end up going to a book signing with them and it is a blast watching them interact with the book world in way you’d never expect. The fun and twists are never ending, it’s a fast paced edge of your seat read you’ll never want to put down. It can be read as a standalone and there is enough background throughout the book to not feel lost but it also occurs naturally. Even if MCs aren’t exactly your thing I wouldn’t rule this story out!

I absolutely LOVED this book!! Ropes is the first book by Jack Davenport that I have read and I loved it!!
This is Ropes and Devlin's story and what a story it is!! The banter between these two had me laughing out loud at some points!! It's like a romantic comedy crossed with a bad ass MC!!
Ropes has 2 sides to him and obviously his day job is not one you would associate with an MC member!! Being a romance writer is something he keeps hidden from his club!! Devlin well she speaks her mind and has no filter!! The chemistry between them is insanely HOT!! I love the ĺoyalty and family that the MC is!! This book has love, heat, chemistry, betrayal and brotherhood can't ask for a better story than that!! I highly recommend this book!!

I have really enjoyed Jack Davenports writing through boos 1 & 2 of this MC series. This book however did not thrill me the way the first two did.

Devlin came into town with a plan of just passing through. Earn so money and move on. Ropes had other planes once he laid eyes on her. He is relentless with his pursuit and of course she finally gives in, sort of, kind of.

Devlin, to me is an extremely unlikable character. After reading about her past, I kind of get it, but not really. Plus, her past was a mere mention in a paragraph and never really looked at again. The same is true for Ropes. I know, that’s not the focus of the story, but I felt it missing so much. I’m sorry, but I just can’t love this one. 3.5 stars.

Interesting story, I loved the twist with this biker not at all what you expect one to be even though I know it happens. Devlin is sassy and independent, not afraid to speak her mind but also strong enough to submit and even say sorry if she's wrong, extremely protective when needed and doesn't suffer fools easily. Being a reader and blogger for books this was like reading a true story at times but getting it from an author perspective. While things were a little more tense at times at the club the focus on Ropes other career was a little more lighthearted, even making me chuckle a bit. I don't feel going straight is going to be easy for this club so with a threat hanging over them I expect a bit more suspense in the next book. Loved it.
