Welcome to Angel Academy. The only way to leave is to fall.

I’m Kaitlyn Lightson, and I haven’t got a clue what I am anymore. With Angel Academy fallen to the hands of the vampire coven, hiding on earth seemed like a good plan.

Until he finds me.

Turns out what I am is the least of my problems. Instead what is happening to my friends at The Angel Academy is more dire. Thallon, Henry, Vesnia and even Riley need my help.

The Angels need a spy.

So I’m going to make a deal with my devil, the man with more than a little bite to his harsh nature.

Death and seduction are the angels tools in the game, but it turns out vampires play with worse things.
Like love…

Welp, turns out there are two other series based in the same world that came before this one. Oopsies.

I likes Silence better than Descend. In this one we get to see more of Ren and how he fights to find out what is right, and pushes the boundaries of peace with the other races. And ya know we got some *cough* spicy scenes *cough* (Henry it totally hot btw) He's always king of been my favorite.

The only kind of problem I had was Myles. Like don't get me wrong, I love him. But he kind of came out of nowhere. Like oh yeah here's a new mate smack dab in the middle of the ocean! But seriously, I love him and I hope we get to see more of him in the third book. (I'm about to cry bc there's only three books in the series 😭😭🥺🥺)

Whoever this higher voice person is, they can go burn in hell. It don't want no good. It just wants to annihilate the vampires for no reason. Like the angels were the one that started killing of vampires and torturing them when they didn't do anything to them!! Like wtf. But of course their the ones seen as evil -_-

2.5-3 stars. Honestly, despite still liking the characters for the most part, even the new ones, this book in the series was just a hot mess. I just don't get the feeling that the amt of time and love were put in on this middle book and it seemed like it was just rushed through. Good news, however, is that we did get some reveals that make the sides in this world a whole lot more murkey. Also I was devastated to find that this is series #3 in this world.. It turns out I've read series one but somehow totally skipped series #2 and went to look for it only to not be able to find it... so yea. We did get to meet the FMC's from the other series so.. that was legit. My next problem, behind the fact that it seems like this book was just thrown together and rushed through, is that if you are going to put a rush on a plot.. don't just start adding in more mates.. I mean I don't even feel like our new wolf friend got his due in this because the fmc was juggling all her previous interests all the while being rushed to make some sort of decision and then BAM end of book.

All in all this 2nd book was a little disappointing but luckily I don't feel like it suffered from "middle book syndrome." I mean there was a lot of action and steam packed in. Of course, we have a giant cliffhanger ending.. again... Can't wait to find out the real truth of what is happening in this world.. and still looking for series #2 in this world with FMC Annette. Let me know if anyone finds the start of it lol.

So this is still a three for me, but if you don't like fast paced books this isn't for you.

spoilers.

Alright, I like this author and have for many series. sometimes her fast past and "yada yada now they are mates" can bother me but if I'm in the right mood it works fine. I guess today I am in the right mood because I haven't even blinked at the lack of relationship and character progression. So take that into account when reading this series. There is zero build up, she forgives far too easily, falls in love within moments and still somehow there is an overall war plot for us to try and keep up with.

G. Bailey always makes me wish she would just sit down, take some ADHD medicine and make her stories around 300 pages not just under 200. Her brain has the power but she seems to write on fast forward and is ready for her next characters.

The second book to the Angel Academy picks up a few weeks after the events of book 1. The question is what will now happen to Katy & Ren? Meanwhile, we get to meet new characters like Myles & many more & some questions are answered like the history of angels & vampires & so on. There were some cameos  of other characters from the multi-verse.
I liked this book & can't wait for the conclusion to this series especially what awaits Katy & her guys.

I received this free eARC novel from the author. This is my honest review.

I loved this so much! I loved the sacrifices Kaitlyn makes, even though they don't go according to plan. I love how she met Myles and how loyal he instant was to her. And Kaitlyn is still struggling between "good" and "evil" even though this book is breaking down barriers when it comes to those two definitions.

I'm really intrigued to find out how these issues are fixed in book 3 and how Kaitlyn is going to get out of the situation she finds herself in at the end of this book.

Also, I how Riley suffered. I don't care how, but I have an immense hatred for him.

I'm so glad I got a chance to read this and I CANNOT WAIT for more!

This really pains me to write this, but its tough for me to give this more than a 3 star review. If I didnt love the ideas of this series and the potential I see, then I would give it 2 stars. This was the most anticipated book of G Bailey's for me this year and I felt let down. I love her ideas but sometimes her execution is just rushed and disjointed. There are a couple series I have felt this way, where book 1 is amazing, but then book 2 or 3 really falls short.

I think the hardest part for me in this one was the transitions and the new relationship that developed with a certain hunky rescuer. There was no development like we got with the other characters in book 1. No lead in. All of a sudden she and him liked each other, were in love, and willing to fight for their bond. I understand insta-connections, but you have to have some inner monologue/thoughts so the reader feels it, can see how big of a change it is, despite it being mere hours/1 day. I just didnt get that with Silence. I really wanted to. I don't think we got enough relationship building with some of the other males in the harem, but there were bright moments that if continued throughout the book would have been spectacular. The dates, blood aspect with her new vampire abilities/persona. I will say I love her loyal winged friend the best haha. I think some of the baddie vampires were a good touch, and the slave aspect was intriguing. I think some of that was done well, but her bff and her situation could have really hit the reader in the heart (in a good way) and it was rushed.

I devoured book 1 and it was one of my favorites of G Baileys overall, but I am not sure how I am going to feel about the third and final book. I hope G Bailey took her time and really gives us a satisfactory ending. I have a feeling it will be like Silence unfortunately, based on her recent track record.

I don't mean to be mean, I just really get invested in these stories and characters and am saddened when things aren't at the same level (or even close). I hope G Bailey considers in the future giving this a rewrite. I think it has everything it needs to be a 5 star and bestseller (the overall series would be at her Guardians series level for me) but it needs to be given the time and consideration it deserves. Not bouncing between all the series and releasing so many books at one time. Its affecting the quality of the stories and books in my opinion. I will read book 3 when it comes out, just with lower expectations after reading book 2.

I think I need to try these Parma Violets 🤔

Out of all of the series within this world, this one has been my favorite so far. Once again G. Bailey has managed to suck me into her world she has created. The creativity she produces into her stories are incomparable and unique. The typical angel stereotype is not found anywhere in this series since it appears that they may not necessarily be the good guys. The revelations that were revealed about the vampires and the angels was rather surprising but added an interesting twist. To read about Kaitlyn making her own decision about what she feels is right in her own heart and mind was empowering to read. She isn’t conforming to popular belief, but making her own choices.

I easily found myself loving all the characters in this series and was excited to read about the new addition of Myles. Ren is easily my favorite guy but I love all of them so far.

My only complaint is the length. I would have loved a longer book to allow even more development between all the characters. Even though it was short, there was still plenty that had happened but I still would have liked to see more in depth and detailed development with all of her relationships.

Now begins the countdown until the next book 😔

Silence picks up a few weeks after the end of Descend. Angel Academy is well and truly broken and Kaitlyn discovers that everything she has known to be true is a lie.
She must make the choice to either side with the Vampires that now control the Academy or with the Angels. Kaitlyn struggles with this as she understands both sides’ view points to an extent.
Kaitlyn really has a hard time with her good and dark side in this book. Which made for a great read since I love when the heroine has a dark side. Kaitlyn is strong and awesome yet conflicted and hesitant at times. She’s definitely not your run of the mill cookie cutter type. Her guys are sexy and all have differing traits and personalities to her that give us a good dynamic. I loved Myles and how loyal and sweet he is from the start.
Dark Angel Academy is set in the same universe as Tales & Times and the Demon Academy series. So the inclusion of peeks at some of our favorite characters from the other series was kickass and I was giddy! The story is intense and non stop! I’m happy we got more answers about the history of the Angels and the Vamps.
So extremely excited for book 3 it hurts. I NEED to know what happens after the doozy of a cliffhanger! Highly recommend this read, Gem has never disappointed me.

Her choice was taken away before she had fully decided where her future lay.

Now she's a hybrid who is part angel and part vampire.

Everyone has to choose a side. But not everything is as black and white as it first seemed...

This is the second book in the angel academy series.

The first book "Descend" introduced us to a completely new world full of light and dark Angels.

The once peaceful academy is now in chaos, as the tables have turned and control has been surrendered.

I thoroughly enjoyed the dark side and learning more about the vampires and their past.

Kaitlyn is a fantastic character who only wants to do what is right and fair. She wants the truth as did I!

The undecided gardener, the ex king, the master and the alpha are all vying for her attention, and oh boy I dont think I could choose one above the others.

A gripping edge of your seat installment, and I for one cant wait to see what happens next! the suspence is killing me!!

Ugh, I don't know if I love this one or hate it! Too much is going on, and my favorite characters are scattered all over the place! I am furious on behalf all the good guys.
This book is really something. It's the first time I am unsure who the good guys really are. I can't say it's a whole race, but it's just not looking good for anyone.
Kaitlyn has too much on her plate. Balancing it all seems close to impossible. This 'light' is sketchy as all hel--er, heck. Kaitlyn finally picks a side and everything erupts into chaos!
I might need a little break before I continue on to the last book. This whole situation has me feeling all tense. Ugh!
Give me a few hours. I will have the final book in my hands by then...

At the end of this 2nd book. I think I see the correlation G is trying to tell us. The battle of both Good and Evil in each of us. We see Kaitlyn make that final decision only to have judgementplaced on her. What will happen to her? Will she ever see her loved ones again? Or will she die a second time forever losing 4 precious diverse men that had claimed her?
I am anxiously waiting for the next book that is being released June 30th. I wish it was sooner. TY G. B.for excellent tales if Myth and Fantasy.❤

Oh my heck this book! I absolutely love it. Kaitlyn is amazing and strong. She makes choices for herself and fights for those she loves. She is beginning to see that all is not as it should be in her world and she is willing to do what it takes to make things better and bring them to where they should be. Going up against a vampire, no problem. Fighting for her friends and the guys who love her, absolutely she is going to do it. Ans she does these things amazingly well. I cannot wait to see what happens next.

Mysteries

This part of Kaitlyn's story went much faster. I can understand her feeling of betrayal and hurt. What I don't understand is why she sleeps with Henry first instead of Thallon. Henry hurt her too after all.

I really like Myles and I am surprised that Kaitlyn doesn't get his hints about his feelings for her for a long time.

I can't believe Riley is such a psychopath. He is controlled by the light God who seems to have it out for the vampires for some reason. I hope more of that mystery is revealed soon.

Id been looking forward to book 2, had to wait quite a bit. I loved book 1, was awesome. But when i started reading this it seemed like a different series? It didnt seem to start where book 1 left off & i was confused, but thought i must have missed something or forgotten parts but couldnt pick up how. I cant even remember how book 1 ended, luckily i hadnt deleted it as i had to go back to look at the last couple of pages to get a grip..but that didnt help much. So just...meh, i may or may not get the 3rd, just as well it was KU for me.

This book was everything I wanted it to be. Set in the same world of the Tales and Time and Demon Academy series - this is book 2 in this series. The characters are some of G Bailey's best yet. With a strong but conflicted heroine and her 4 men all so different from each other, with different dark sides or secrets. The story was great, I had no idea where it was going to go to next and I LOVED that.

So things are moving along nicely for our lead and her guys. I really needed to know how things ended up when Kaitlyn after book one. Everything is moving along in the plot department.

You cannot help but want to follow Kaitlyn and just really loving all of the characters. Gem has a great way of getting you so invested in her characters and their lives.

Well done Gem and I cannot wait to read what happens next.

Ahh crap! Yep that's how I feel after finishing this book. It's going to hit the fan. We go back the academy now run by Ren and the vampires. The light above tasks Kaitlyn with something she refuses even if it could solve everything... maybe. Madi and Alexandria also have stakes in this impending war. We get to see them a bit as well in this book. But dang I need the next book!

Angels vs Vampires, and vampires against everyone!: the war has begun!
Things just got wickedly twisted!!! Angel Academy is broken... Vampires took over and everything Kaitlin thought she knew is a lie. A choice must be made..either she is with the vampires or shes against them. Shes conflicted because she sees both sides.. and to top it off, a new sexy wolf shifter joins her harem. Old alliances are tested and broken. Time is running out and Kaitlin must decided what to do. Get ready its about to go down! 😈 I love everything Gem writes and as always, this is an Awesome read! Must read in order to understand 🤍 I read this with my kindle unlimited.

Good read

This was a good read and addition to the series. Fantastic characters and I love the world these books are set in connecting them all together. The only thing is that I feel with each new book that this author has come out they just keep getting shorter and everything is just rushed and crammed in.

The story continues with so much emotions that it sucks you in until you cannot stop reading thallon, henry, myles, and ren are awesome guys in their own way. I really hated Riley and hate him more after this. I'm also really disliking the light being. Really enjoyed seeing the queens coming together.

Wow; what an amazing book. I absolutely love G. Bailey's books. With the second one in this series we see some of the pieces start to come together but there are still some unanswered questions. Who is the one true light and what is Gabriel's role in all of this? With the next book we, hopefully, will get some answers and see a happily ever after for all.

“War makes heartless monsters of us all.”

Indeed, that's a deep statement. I truly love this world G. Bailey has created. I remember discovering her Tales story and could not put it down once I started reading. I anticipate the final book has n this world will be epic. I am so looking forward to it!

This book felt a bit rushed but I still enjoyed it a lot! There's the introduction of Myles, a new male character who quickly becomes one of Kaitlyn love interests but I want to know more about him.
And Riley to me is a psychopath but like in a bad way, his obsession with Kaitlyn is disturbing. I hope she'll keep her distance with him...

I really liked the book. The characters and plot progressed quite a bit, as some of my questions were answered, but some were also left unanswered. I even have more, and I already want to read the next one to find out what happens. If you like fantasy and want to read books that aren't too long, I recommend these books.

Some characters from the other books show up in this one. Kaitlyn is faced with the difficulty of deciding who is on her side and who is against. Can both sides be good and bad? Story is steady paced.
