Stoney I am what I am. A man who likes to f*ck, and a biker who is loyal solely to my club and my brothers. But someone has stolen what’s rightfully mine and I plan to bring the world down upon their head until I get it back.
Only, things aren’t quite what they seem, and my world is about to implode as everything I’m familiar with is threatened.
Sabrina I have sworn to protect and love my sister’s only child, and as far as I’m concerned, he’s mine. The problem is, before my sister died, she failed to fill me in on some very important details about her life.
Now I’m facing an enemy I’m not prepared for, but to rescue my nephew, I’m willing to go all the way to hell… I’m just not sure I’ll make it back.
New York Times & USA Today Bestselling Author Piper Davenport writes from a place of passion and intrigue, combining elements of romance and suspense with strong modern-day heroes and heroines.
She currently resides in the Pacific Northwest with her author husband, Jack Davenport, and an obnoxious YorkiePoo named Pepper who may or may not be an international spy.
This was an enjoyable read that drew you right in.The story was suspenseful and had a great cast of characters. We are really enjoying this series we just love its characters a lot especially the Club Pres.Okay,Okay we are totally in love with him.lol
I loved Stoney I think in this story we saw a different side of him that is not his normal and we loved that. We found him to be loving and protective and compassionate and understanding all the wild remaining the crude alpha biker he is known to be.
Sabrina was a devoted aunt/mother and we loved that she was smart and independent and was opened minded and even though she had doubts about the club and its members she was willing to overcome her fears to see that her nephew had a father figure in his life.
Luca was a total douche but, made the story interesting . Luca gave us many encounters that we could not help but smirk but, I think his sister Sabrina came out on top each and every time.
The story tugged on ones heart as it was a sad sort of tale but, it also had and outcome and a few surprises that we didn't see coming and we definitely loved that.
We loved Sabrina and Stoney as a couple as they were complete opposites but, one added spice and excitement and the other was able to sooth the beast and was just what the other needed. My only complaint I felt that their was no chemistry between these two and they lacked spark and a whole of heat between them.
Overall this was a enjoyable read and we love that when a couple finds romance and love when neither expected it or were looking for it but, somehow they found their soulmate in the mist of all the chaos and despair that surrounded them.
Wow, I think this is my favorite one so far in this series. Let me start off by saying as much as I loved Stoney, I really loved Sabrina. She was an amazing character. She was strong, intelligent, sassy, fierce and so mature. I loved her independence and her love and devotion to Felix. Stoney was a total alpha with the biggest heart. He kept surprising me with every turn of the page. I don't want to recap the story cause then why read it right? But I will say I thoroughly enjoyed this story. I got to the epilogue and I didn't want it to end. Stoney and Sabrina lit up the pages with the chemistry between them. I highly recommend this book
The third installation of the Primal Howlers MC and I loved it. Stoney was not just a bada** biker he was a sweetheart. It took me a minute to warm up to Sabrina bc I thought she was very judgemental of the Stoney and his lifestyle at first. This was a great book and I look forward to the next book in the series.
I could read stories like this everyday... I loved this book... Hot Damn! Piper Davenport, I think Stoney is my favourite ❤ 😊
Everything about this book had me hooked from the start to the finish. Stoney, in the beginning I thought would be a douche but he made up for it in the end. Sabrina might come across as a soft spoken lady taking care of her deceased sisters son, but when push comes to shove she definitely let her sassiness show. I am totally in love with bikers and how they are with their kids. And Stoney, oh my just melted my heart the way he was with Felix. I need more of this Piper... I need the next one in this series ❤ ❤ 😊
Sabrina’s sister Maria died of a suspected drug overdose six months before, since then Sabrina has been rearing Felix (Fox). She decides to deliver a letter addressed to Stoney, revealing to him that he’s a father (a DNA test later confirms this). Stoney is Road Captain to the Howlers.
They meet through desperate circumstances when Felix is abducted at school and Luca, her brother, a detective on the police force, issued an Amber alert. Nonplussed, she approaches the MC in an effort to explore resources that would not be available through lawful channels and gives him the letter, asking for his help.
“You and my sister had a one-night stand, I’m guessing seven years ago or so. Out of that one-night stand, the world received the biggest gift on earth. Felix.” “I am always gloved, sweetheart. There’s no way this kid is mine.” “Maria said you both got a little drunk and there was a moment in the morning—” “She was a junkie. How would she remember anything?” “How would you know she was a junkie?” “Outside o’ the fact she had track marks… she told me.” “She had been clean for about a month when you two…anyway, she stayed clean the entire pregnancy, shortly thereafter she resumed her old habits. After rehab, she stayed clean for another five years. Then she OD’d. That was six months ago. Now someone has kidnapped Felix and I need your help.” “How do you know he’s been kidnapped?” “Because he didn’t come home. He’s not one to go off on his own or disobey me. I think Maria owed people money. I think they came to collect.” “Who?” “I don’t know. He didn’t get off the bus today, and the school doesn’t know where he is, but I think they’re covering their a**es. My brother’s issued an Amber alert—” “Your brother has the power to issue an Amber alert?” I nodded. “He’s a cop.”
Luca and Stoney engage in a few skirmishes being on opposite sides of the law.
Stoney and Sabrina’s introduction:
“I’m neither a cop nor a lawyer. So, are you Mr. Stonewell?” “Stoney. What do you want, Sabrina Moretti?” “I need your help.” “What kinda help?” I took a deep breath and opened my purse, pulling the envelope out and forcing my feet to move away from my car. “You servin’ me?” “No.” “What’s in the envelope?” “What do you think it is?” “I’d rather not speculate.” “Before I open this, tell me why you need my help.” “My nephew is missing.” “And how exactly is this my problem?” “I think you should read the letter,” “Come in.” “No. I think I’ll stay right here,” “You scared?” “Yes,” “How come?” “At the risk of offending you, I’d rather not say.” “Jesus, you always this honest?” “Guilty,” “No one here will hurt you, sweetheart.” “I’m good right here.”
As Stoney and Felix get to know each other, so does Stoney and Sabrina and they develop romantic feelings, interspersed with Luca’s thinly veiled jibes.
Felix was the most eloquent six year old...as parents we all believe our children are veritable virtuosos, bona fide geniuses...however, at six this child would not have been as astute as his speech seems to suggest.
Stoney and Luca began working toward a more amicable relationship. Luca had shared an edited video message from the Maria, explaining her actions. She’d been at a dinner party and overheard a conversation about trafficking women and children. The group had decided to branch out from drugs. She decided to watch and listen, occasionally recording conversations and taking pictures of paperwork when she felt it was safe. In collecting evidence, she was discovered and they staged her murder as an overdose, which is why she’d stashed the evidence at Sabrina’s. After murdering her, it had taken time for them to suspect Sabrina had what they wanted; hence the kidnapping, breaking into her home, following her and sale of Felix.
They weren’t expecting the wrath of the Howlers as well as law enforcement in the form of Luca, Maria’s brother.
Unlike other stories, Stoney was reasonable and doesn’t postulate. He is overprotective and commandeering. I was not convinced of their attraction, it seemed contrived.
Light moments with cute quips...
‘Pedal to the metal’ (Stoney to Sabrina).
‘The nineties called, they want their catch phrase back’ (Sabrina to Felix).
Cute short story, low on angst, no OM/OW, no cheating, no distance apart, no dysfunctional family. The family is non-judgemental, welcoming and reserves judgement, other than Luca but he is in law enforcement, therefore there will be conflict.
There is a happy ending.

Ok,two things right off the bat. One I don’t get these heroines . They act like women who should be starring in the next Hallmark movie love fest ,”When horny comes calling”. Ok,lol. Hallmark can’t handle their crazy A and their PG-13 to R rating at times, But both “Wyatt” and now Sabrina both act like their bikers should be PG rated open books. Aaaaaaaaaaa,H E L L O ,Bikers! You don’t ask a biker to act all sweet and innocent and tell you anything everything any more than you world a cop,or a soldier,or your bestie who works in cyber security. Ppl often have jobs,or lifestyles that mean they have to keep certain things secret . Geez, I’m sure 5/6 year old Felix here could understand that. Duh. These men are dangerous bikers NOT an accountant or PR “fivers” or something . Hell ,even a Doctor couldn’t tell you things. I can’t respect willing stupidity or that kind of naïveté. Your falling in lust w/a dangerous man. Either own it and accept or move on. Seriously these women work a nerve. Their like a woman supposedly wanting to love a cattle rancher but want him to go vegan . Itch, please. Love him for go he is or move on. That’s what you demand from him every five seconds between bursting into tears over something. Secondly, please stop using his supposedly sex self as an excuse for all your dumb A actions. Personally if the cover is supposed to be him,I just don’t see it. That serious looking scowl wearing a man in the cover, is about as attractive as any or those black and white photos as you see in your mother’s or grandmothers attic. Long nose, beady eyes squinting at you under heavy brows and a bread that needs trimming? Aaaaaaaaaa,no. The trouble that happens concerning Sabrina’s sister mainly felt like background noise to set up Stoneys reunion w/his son,and his long courtship w/his Hallmark wannabe heroine. Just enough “action” takes place to show us these are dangerous, while Sabrina tries to bring Stoney to heel and train into being what she wants. Which feels like by the end of the book a stay at home husband, who tried to go all alpha in bed. Not bad,but foe me not enough depth or world building and irritatingly irrational woman when is comes to attitude and demands fro their men. Again get a clue sister or go away.
I have waited in anticipation for the next book in the Primal Howlers MC series and with a little trepidation. Could the 3rd book in the series be as good as the first 2?. Well yes it was - this series just keeps getting better and better.
Who doesn't want a book with tattooed bad ass biker in it - who has just the right of alpha coupled with the right amount soft although Stoney keeps that well hidden unless its with the people he cares about.
The star of the show though has to be Sabrina no nonsense Moretti; since the death of her sister 6 months previous she is raising her 6 year old nephew Felix or as he likes to be called Fox! Her brother works for the local PD and her mom and dad help her with Fox. Luca, Sabrinas brother isn't exactly a fan of the Primal Howlers non of their road captan Stoney but when Fox is kidnapped; Sabrina is left with one choice and that is to enlist the help of Stoney and the brothers of the Primal Howlers MC.
Tense runs thick between Luca and Stoney and Sabrina spends most of the time keeping them apart so that don't kill each other. One always goes by the rule book the other tossed it out years ago.
As Sabrina spends more time with the club and Stoney the more she wants to know about this rugged biker his biker family and the life he leads because she is beginning to release that it isn't exactly as her brother keeps telling her.
This is a slow burn passionate romance with an element of suspense as we unravel why Fox was taken and what Sabrina's sister's life was really like leading up to her death.
Well worth a read you won't be disappointed! Roll on Book 4 can it get any better?
It seems like each chapter has at least one person in law enforcement that they're tied to.
When her nephew is taken, Sabrina finds a note left by her late sister to a man named Stoney, a member of the Primal Howlers. Turns out, Stoney's Felix's father, and the Howlers have more resources than Sabrina's brother, who's a cop, to get her nephew back. What was just supposed to be Felix getting to know his father better turned into so much more for Sabrina. But what happens when a rival club comes after her, thinking she knows more than she does?
Sabrina and Stoney get their happy ending in this standalone book in a series.
I loved how quickly Stoney fell for Sabrina, but also gave her the time she needed to come around to them being a couple. I did like that Stoney, while he didn't agree with Luca's ways, didn't bash him to Sabrina or Felix and worked to be neutral around him rather than aggressive. I do wonder if the Howlers will end up calling on Luca in the future to deal with something legally for the club to keep them in good standing, or if that was strictly because this dealt with Sabrina and her family. I can't wait to see who falls in love next, and I hope the Howlers get some peace soon.
This book nearly did me in! There was so much emotion in this story, both between Stony and Sabrina, and in the rest of the events of the story, that, at times, I struggled to keep up. The author did a fantastic job conveying those emotions, as well as investing the reader in the story. It left me with an appreciation for how difficult it is for two people from such different walks of life to make a relationship, and keep it going, despite outside influences and opinions.
Sabrina is a straight laced, girl next door type. She is definitely not ready for Stony, and all that he brings with him! He takes her outside of her comfort zone, and shows her that outside appearances don't always show you what's inside someone's heart!
Stony is exactly what he seems to be. A hard core biker, living his best life. That life is thrown into chaos when Sabrina arrives on his doorstep with news that he never could have anticipated! Together, they learn how to cope, how to work together to get things done!
This book was full of both chaotic moments, as well as sweet family moments! I can't help but feel warm, fuzzy feelings through out this story, because Stony and Sabrina are perfect together, despite everything. Their story was definitely a wild ride!
This new addition to the Primal Howlers MC series turned out to be quite the heartwarming tale. Sabrina, who has been left to care for her nephew after her sister's death, is panicked when he is kidnapped and goes to the one place she knows she can get the help she needs; The Primal Howlers compound. Stoney, who is completely unaware his one night stand almost 7 years ago resulted in the charming 6-year-old boy Felix, is about to be called upon to go and retrieve his son. Amongst the drama and suspense, Stoney and Sabrina find their growing attraction to each other is something they both want to take a chance on!
I enjoyed this book, especially the premise of Stoney and Sabrina first meeting. I loved how they began to create a little family unit with Felix as the story went on. I did feel that certain parts felt slightly rushed towards the end such as Stoney and Sabrina's first love scene and the proposal and engagement party at her parents house. We didn't get a reaction from her parents or her brother and for me that made the scene feel as if it was rushed through. However, I did thoroughly enjoy this book and am looking forward to more in the Howler's series!
Piper Davenport has done it again! Primal Heat is the third book in the Primal Howlers MC series and it’s another winner. Sabrina is a hardworking, family loving woman who’s raising her deceased sister’s young son. When her nephew is taken from his school Sabrina turns to his father for help. Problem is the boy’s father is a member of the Primal Howlers MC, just a little out of her comfort zone, and he doesn’t know that he’s a father. Stoney is great! He’s pretty sweet in a tough, alpha male sort of way. The way he is with his little boy, Felix or “Fox”,is so cute and that kid is precious! Throw in an overprotective cop brother and the guys and gals from the Primal Howlers and you’ve got an amazing story! Loved the book and can’t wait for the next installment of this fabulous series!
Great addition to this series, it's definitely becoming a favorite for sure~ Stoney and Sabrina couldn't be more different. She comes from a close knit Italian family, while his seems to be kept at an arms length. She has stepped in to raise her nephew, the son he never knew he had. The inevitable happens as they spend more time together with him getting to know Fox and vice versa. As always, there is no such thing as smooth sailing when it comes to life, there's drama, chaos, action, suspense and intrigue laced throughout the story and that doesn't even begin to describe the slow burn... but dang, when it happens, these two are fire! Add in to that all the unease of a little boy who overthinks, not knowing where he fits in and how this is all going to work and you have a story that will pull at your heartstrings.
Stoney was the Road Captain for the Primal Howlers MC and had one heck of a surprise coming his way; the night when a feisty woman walked into their compound looking for him and his help. Sabrina was the aunt to a missing little boy and turned to Stoney for help getting Felix/Fox back. Only she knew what her dead sister left in a note for her and that is that Stoney is really Felix’s father. Stoney was blindsided to say the least but was all on board with helping Sabrina out.
Stoney was a hard core one percenter who was willing to open his heart up to Sabrina. Sabrina always put Felix first and believing the right thing to do was to let Stoney into Felix’s life. These two had chemistry but most of all a big love for a little boy. It tugged out my heartstrings and gave me the HEA I was hoping for. I loved this book and this series!!
I loved this latest book in the Primal Howlers series!!! Stoney is the road captain for the mc. He works hard and plays harder. He is in for the surprise of his life when he finds out that he is a dad. Sabrina has been raising her nephew Felix aka Fox since the death of her sister. When Fox is kidnapped from school, Sabrina tracks down Stoney to see if he can help her bring Fox home. Stoney is shocked to say the least to find out that he has a son but what is more surprised about is the feelings that he is developing for Fox's aunt Sabrina. This is an addictive, hold on to the seat of your pants people, action filled story that I absolutely loved!!! I was hooked from beginning to end and didn't want to see their story end. I loved everything about this book and highly recommend it to all. I can't wait for the next book in this amazing series....well done!!!
OMG...I loved this book from start to finish. Piper Davenport has become my go-to MC author. I love falling in love with her alpha, bada$$ bikers. As someone who has been around MC's Piper does an amazing job making these books realistic.
I loved Stoney from the get-go. While he may not have known he had a son, Stoney did everything needed to step up and in for Fox. I loved everything about Sabrina. I loved that she was trying to raise a child that wasn't hers to be a good kid and man. When Fox finds himself in some trouble, Sabrina does the only thing she can think of, she goes to Stoney.
This book was exciting. It kept me wanting more. It kept me on the edge of my seat. I wanted to know what was going to happen next. I wanted Stoney and Sabrina to be everything. I'm so looking forward to the next book in this series. I can't wait to see what Piper has next for us.
Primal Heat was a fantastic read that I never wanted to end. I'm not going to get into a ton of details since I want everyone to experience all of Piper Davenport's goodness for themselves! Stoney is a biker who makes no apologies for who he is, though he does have a big heart when all is said & done. Sabrina is an aunt who will do whatever it takes to keep her nephew safe, which had her coming off a bit judgey at times, but nothing that made me extremely mad, just frustrated even though it came from a good place at the end of the day. When these two meet, it nearly destroyed my kindle from the sparks, but it was quite the journey as there's one hell of a complication that they have to work through, so who will give in first?! You'll have to hit those one click buttons to find out, and trust me, you want to find out! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO ALL!
This is another fabulous story in the Primal Howlers MC series.
Stoney, the Road Captain finds out that he has a son, Felix who is being raised by his aunt Sabrina after his mum passes. when he is kidnapped, Stoney and Sundance get him back and he tells Sabrina he wants to be a part of his life, Sabrina was wary at first but soon realises what a great guy he is, much to her cop brother's distaste and that he won't take Felix off her, when she finds herself in danger, it's Stoney she runs too.
Loved this page turning story, especially the banter Ms. Davenport is famous for, it makes this more realistic and a pleasure to read.
I received a copy and I am voluntarily leaving my own honest opinion.
This is an automatic one click author for me!! I love, love everything she writes in this book was no exception! Little Felix a.k.a. Fox is this so damn cute and polite, you can’t help the fall in love with him. Sabrina wants to give him the world and if that means notifying his father about his existence she will that’s what a good aunt would do. Stoney is blindsided that his a one night stand 7 years prior would produce a little boy. Sabrina and Stoney clash at first because they are so stubborn and hardheaded but that slowly melts away. Then they are burning up the pages with their explosive chemistry. With her sister dead, her problems follow Sabrina and Fox. Now that Stoney and Sabrina are together her problems become his and throw in a rival MC and you have a fan-freaking-tastic book!! I can’t wait for the next book in this awesome series!!!
Stoney and Sabrina’s story starts with a missing child and a surprise letter. Sabrina has guardianship of her nephew, Felix, after her sister dies from an overdose. Little does she know that when Felix disappears, a chance delivery of an old letter will lead her straight to Felix’s biological Dad, Stoney.
Stoney is pretty aggrieved that he’s missed out on so much of his son’s life and he vows to make it up to him. He doesn’t expect to fall for his ex’s sister, or begin to want things he’s never wanted before.
Little Felix is the star of this story, written with such sweet charm, he’s utterly adorable. The threats to the MC start to ramp-up a gear in Primal Heat too, making for a gripping read.
Love love love Stoney & Sabrina!! And Felix is a delight! : )
This story has a little bit of a dark side, which I don't really enjoy (I don't like reading about the violent side of the MC, or police work, or mob life, etc...LOL) but it isn't a HUGE part of the story & those scenes don't last too long. For the most part, this story is full of Alpha goodness, sassy heroine goodness (altho warning - Sabrina cries a lot. She cries when she's happy or sad or scared or angry...), family dynamics, Club fun, steamy times, and a WHOLE lotta enjoyment!
We get a really terrific HEA with this chapter of the Howlers, and I highly recommend this series!
Stoney is a Road Captain for the Primal Howlers MC. He doesn’t really do committed relationships, he’s more into mutual satisfaction and move on.
Sabrina is the youngest of three. Her oldest sibling, Maria, OD’d leaving Sabrina to raise her young son.
I really enjoyed this story. Sabrina is smart, stubborn and sassy. Stoney is, well you know, the epitome of sexy, rugged bad boy. There is drama, steam and romance. I liked the story line, but it felt a little rushed. The intense, nail biting drama happened, waned, spiked for a moment and was done. Piper is an incredible author and I look forward to the next instalment. 4 stars.
Sabrina thought her life was changed when her sister died and left her nephew in her care. He is loved by the family and all are devoted to making his life the best possible. Until he is taken. Now she has to ask the last person she wants for help.
Stoney had no idea he had a son. No idea he'd find the woman who had kept him away until she told him he was a father and his son was missing.
The two are the most unlikely lovers but the love of a child can bridge much. It is a fun ride as well as touching with a loyal club, a testy uncle, hot biker, nieve woman, and a child they all love. Wonderful read as expected and always provided by the author.
I honestly didn’t think much about Stoney in the previous books in this series. Sundance was such a stand out for me I just didn’t pay much attention to him. Well shame on me because I love Stoney!
Stoney and Sabrina have met under circumstances that are enough to make anyone lose their mind and be angry. Stoney has a moment of insanity but realizes quickly he will protect his family he didn’t know about.
Stoney and Sabrina’s chemistry is hot! He may be hard on the outside but with his family he is an amazing man. I am very much hoping that Sabrina’s brother gets a book! That man has a story I would love to know!
Another fantastic book in the Primal Howlers MC series! It’s my favorite so far! I loved Stoney and Sabrina! Stoney is the Road Captain for the Primal Howlers and Sabrina is raising Felix, her deceased sisters son. He’s been kidnapped and she turns to his father Stoney, who doesn’t he has a son, to get him back. Sparks fly between them as they work on their extended family situation. I loved this exciting, entertaining, action packed, page turning story! Stoney, Sabrina and little Felix make a great family! Once again Piper has written another amazing story in the Primal Howlers MC series! Thank you Piper! I can’t wait for the next book!
I absolutely loved Sabrina and Stoney. The odd and scary circumstances that bring them together, will have you on the edge of your seat. I’ve loved the Primal Howlers so far, and this was no exception. (I actually read it twice, back to back.)
The care and love Sabrina has for her nephew, is nothing short of what an amazing mom would have for her own child. And Stoney, he would do anything for this boy. And it’s from this little boy, that a fantastic relationship begins to build between Stoney and Sabrina.
I’ve been a big fan of Ms Davenport’s writing for some time, but I think this book is a new favorite of mine and will be a book I will love rereading in the future.
Written another story full of characters I love and want as my family.
Sabrina is a single woman raising her nephew after her sister OD'd. But something has happened and Felix is missing.
Time to do what she has to do. Meet the biker that is Stoney, Felix's father, and ask for his help.
Once you get started you aren't going to want to put this book down. There's just so much to it. The relationship between Sabrina and Stony. Stony and Felix....learning how to be father and son. Just how did Maria, Felix's mom, die....was it an OD or something more. And if it was, what does that mean for them? You really just need to read this for yourself.
This is the 3rd book in this amazing series and is Stoney and Sabrina’s story. Stoney is the road captain of his MC and he finds out he has a son who is being raised by his aunt when the boy is kidnapped. No spoilers: this is a definite must read you will not be disappointed. This is a well written story which has me hooked an intrigued throughout this addictive page turner. This story has realistic characters and plot with sizzling chemistry and witty banter. I highly recommend for all MC lovers.
Primal Heat is the third book in the Primal Howlers MC series and it’s another amazing book in the series. This is probably my favorite in the series. Sabrina is one of my absolute favorites! She is hardworking and family is the most important to her! She is raising her deceased sister’s young son, Felix! Felix is taken and she has to get help from his father, who doesn’t even know that Felix exists! Stoney is everything you want in a hero and I loved how he was with Felix! I loved the book and can’t wait for the next installment in this amazing series!
