This felt clumsy and forced, I soo did not feel the chemistry here... It was weird how Leth,Rueben and especially Josh seems to enjoy this weird hurry up and wait, how even though he felt she was possibly his mate he didn't feel right to even hint a wanting her and pushing her toward sex w/other men at times because of her succubus side, for 3 years ? W/out even a hint ? Whichever watched her w/other men ? Then suddenly two others show up who also wanna play coy w/her and suddenly it's ok ? What . The . Hell ?!?! And then all the want to do is break into her house uninvited, because obviously neither Fae or Vampires need manners or invitations, play a kinda push / pull w/ her pulling her in acting interesting and then pushing away and then supposedly having mysterious conversations behind her back about how the 3 of them are all ok w/sharing her with out two out them even getting to know her in the slightest 1st... And she's like "O ,okay" "Aren't you gonna kiss me ? And the vampire runs away faster than he would garlic and sunlight put together because some how he's ok/those ... WTH ?!?? I got to chapter 8 where poor Eira was finally getting Josh in to bed , and honestly it just started to cringe , it all just felt soo forced , I've wanted Nash for ages I can finally have him , I'm a succubus, let's do this... No real build up ,( on chapter 8 and I don't really feel I know either character nor do I feel compelled to do so) Josh honestly just feels there and it felt like it was more about the fact she hadn't had sex in three weeks not the fact she having sex with one of the loves of her .... The men were weird and overly coy, breaking into her house one minute uninvited ( I mean how the heck did Leth even know Eira even existed ?) and the next just walking away... And Eira other being sexually frustrated , seemingly ok with everything , even though nothing is really explained or makes sense... 3 stars out of respect for the effort and what the writer accomplished but in my heart ? 1.5 - 2 stars, coy, confusing and let really really fake... I'm really disappointed, I've been waiting fir this and another RH story come out and both feel like a waste of time ,grateful they were KU but sad I had high hopes for nothing ... No Thanks... I love the face RH is a hit trend atm, just wish more were worth the effort ... Two names Tate James and Amy Sumida ,check them out and then you might understand why I feel the way do ...
Once again Laura Greenwood’s take on the paranormal universe is captivating. Eira is a descendant of Jack Frost (plus she has a little something more), who is connected with her mates - a witch, fae and vampire in this fun reverse harem story.
Saving Eira by Laura Greenwood is a beautifully written story, and one that I’m disappointed that I didn’t read sooner. I highly recommend this, and can’t wait to read more of the Fated Seasons series.
This has a really intriguing and unique premise. I love that Eira is the descendant of Jack Frost; I enjoyed all the characters. I have previously read Chasing Aledwen and have been wanting to read Eira since then, I really enjoy the Fated Seasons.
Marina Barrett's narration was fantastic. She gave the characters personality. She delivered the sarcasm and humour very well.
After reading Return of the Fae I grew really really curious about this story. We've seen what happened on one side of the separation. I assume, and it's also what I've been waiting for while reading this first book in the trilogy, that we're now gonna see everything that has happened on the other side, in the Fae courts. However, apart from that I had absolutely no idea what this story would be about.
I was therefore quite pleasantly surprised when the story started with a bubbling young girl with winter powers and three guys who discover that they're her mates. All of those characters are easy to like and therefore it doesn't take long before I started caring about them. Most of all about Eira. Even though she's quite naive at times, she has something endearing and really sweet. A nice characteristic for a part succubus!
Watching her building a connection with the guys, even though it goes quite fast, is actually kind of cute. I think that all the lovely types of guys are part of the harem, although I have to admit that all the rules of the Fae court were quite troubling in the relationship between Eira and her Summer Fae. However, I really liked that even though it all went so fast, there still seemed to be a connection, and not just because there was a soulmate bond.
However, once all the relationships were built the true story started. And since we already know one part of the story, the one I've read in Return of the Fae, it was quite interesting to see everything that was happening leading to the drastic events and the harsh world we've already seen. I have the feeling that the story and plot are actually just starting after that action packed finale. I'm therefore really looking forward to dive into the next two books!
Eira Frost, is a descendent of Jack Frost and charged with bringing on the frost. This year the frost is late. Something is blocking her power. Things change quickly for Eira. She finds her self the mate to her best friend Josh, a witch, along with a vampire elder, Rueban and an equally part charming and annoying fae, Leth, of the summer court. Leth knows a lot more than he is saying about the problem with her magic. The rules of the fae have tied his hands. Eira has found a work around and her mates have a steamy plan to break the seal.that is holding her magic. A fast paced, sweet and steamy M MFM romance. No MM.
Wow what an exciting and fantastic book! Eira has a major crush on her bestie Josh, but she cannot do anything as he is her best friend. Eira looks after the frost as she is the eldest out of her and her twin sister
After Josh drags her out one night her world starts to change and becomes more complicated!
Well written with a great storyline, fantastic characters and plenty of humour romance and steamy this book is such a great read and I would love to read more about Eira and her gorgeous guys! I highly recommend this book
Eira is a descendant of Jack Frost and since she was eighteen years old she's been responsible for the frosts arriving on time so winter, along with all the other changes, can begin. The problem? She hasn't felt the tingle of winter approaching and she can't figure out what the problem is. Thankfully, Fate and Laura Greenwood have given her three mates: Josh, her best friend who she's craved for years, Reuben, a vampire, and Leth, a half-Fae of the Summer Court to help her figure out what's wrong with her powers. This was a short, easy read with strong, interesting characters that mixed chemistry and humor. I can't wait to see what happens next.
Saving Eira by Laura Greenwood is a paranormal reverse harem that I listened to on audio narrated by Marina Barrett.
I just love Laura’s books! They always leave me begging for more. I cannot wait to dive into the next book in the series Reigning Eira is released on audio.
Marina did a great job on the narration. I just love her voice and can’t wait to listen to more of her projects in the future.
I would recommend this book to anyone who loves Paranormal Romances or Reverse Harem novels.

Saving Eira is a wonderfully imaginative paranormal Reverse Harem in the Fated Season series. Eira is the first born daughter in the line of Jack Frost's descendents. This makes her responsible for the frosts. All of the seasons depend on the frosts, so it's important magic. She also feels responsible for her younger twin sister Izzy, she's in love with her best friend Josh, and as a part-succubus she has needs that must be met. It's time to top off (what she calls her succubus side) so she and Josh head out for a night on the town. After a steamy dance that goes a little far, a sexy vampire Rueben comes to Eira's rescue. Within seconds she finds herself feeling for him like she does for Josh. Then the next morning she finds a gorgeous fae, Leth in her house who informs her that the frosts are late and that he has answers. He will only give her these answers on a date. Now there are three men Eira sees as her mates. Could it be possible to have them all? Can she save the frosts?
As much as I love the creativity in the storyline, a RH is successful (or not) depending on it's characters. These are great. They work nicely together. Eira was a strong lead. Josh was easily my favorite. Best friend to lover doesn't always work, but in this case it certainly does. A sexy witch that can move from caring friend to domineering lover is perfect. I loved that he took point with the guys. Reuben and his quest for perfection was frustrating, but when he finally came though, he did it in a big way. I have mixed feelings about Leth. The fae rules are unacceptable and he needs to find a way to circumvent them for his mate. I did like his relationship with his sister and his obvious desire for babies. Sweet. And his large family can provide plenty of characters. Reagan, Josh's sister was also an intriguing character. I can't wait to see more of her.
This is a fun book with wonderful characters. Very creative premise with great world-building. Several paranormal circles and courts are introduced giving us plenty of characters for future books. There's sexual tension and follow-through, there's political intrigue, and a nice amount of action/danger. This was an enjoyable start to a new RH!
Eira and Isolde were born 32 minutes apart, and it made all the difference to Eira who was tasked with responsibility for the very important job of the frosts coming on time, which affected other seasons. Actually, twins should not have been born at all because no one knew how the powers of their ancestor, Jack Frost, would show up in the two girls. As it turned out, Eira had all the powers except one -- precognition. Izzy had precognition and a sprinkling of snow magic. The problem is, this year the frost is late! She hadn’t felt the tell-tale tingling that signaled it was time to bring on the frosts. Who is responsible for interfering with this process?
Ultimately after a night on the town to satisfy needs periodically caused by her succubus blood, she pushed herself out onto the dance floor and Eira finds her three mates after they settle a little skirmish: Josh, a witch and her best friend whom she had been craving for the past several years; Rueben, a vampire; and later, Leth, a half-Fae of the Summer Court who was sitting in her living room when she came out of the shower, who had to hold back from Eira information concerning what is going on with her powers. So Leth made a date with her, Rueben got her phone number to call her up later, and Josh was finally ready to admit how he had felt about her for years and was now ready to act on! The question now is, can her men help her get her power back so that she can do what needs to be done about the frost?
I enjoyed this story, especially having read another in the series and feeling more comfortable with it. I loved the strong character we see in Eira. Her guys were likewise interesting, with Josh being my favorite of the three. Mixing humor into the story makes it easy to read and enjoy. Grab your copy and see if Eira gets her powers back in time!
I really liked this book but I had to read about 30 % before I got hooked! The story is about Eira who has inherited her powers from Jack Frost. So every winter it is her responsibility to call on the frosts but this winter the frosts are late. She has to figure out where they are and who trapped them and how she gets them back again. Eira has been in love with Josh her neighbor for the 3 years they have known each other but he hasn’t shown any interest in her. She meets Rueben one night in town where he safes her life and She meets Leth when she gets back to her apartment. He is comfortably sitting in her couch waiting for her. She falls for them all one the spot and they all realize they are fated mates and maybe they can help her get the frosts back. Leth is definitely my favorite of her mates. He is half fai and half human and he is the jokester of the group but he is also serious, secretive, caring and totally lovable! Rueben is a vampire and he is very old fashioned, kind, romantic and protective. Josh is a witch and he is also secretive, protective, kind, friendly and caring. Now Eira on the other hand irritated me a lot in the beginning. She acted like a spoiled brat and punished Leth when he told her there were things he couldn’t tell her because of him being fai and she had to investigate things herself. She just felt to entitled to her mates and they were not allowed to say anything she was against. She was naive and only thought about sex at one point. But she became stronger and more understanding and she grew with the knowledge she gained through her research and her mates lives. The book is a very steamy, funny, lighthearted reverse harem paranormal romance and 3 fated delicious men what more could you want. I can definitely recommend this book.

I really like the storyline concept for this book, it is definitely an interesting approach to a Fae style book. The events that took place really had promise, but the whole feel was a bit lackluster.
A lot of the relationship felt way too rushed. For example, they’ve been together for what...like a week?....and they’re already talking about their future child. And it was continuously brought up throughout the entire book.
I get that’s it’s a true mate insta-bond thing, but those types of bonds are fairly boring. Primarily because as the reader, we don’t get to see the development of the relationship, it’s just magically there and in full force. Besides that, the characters were fairly one dimensional.
On a side note: Eira repeatedly mentions Leth’s punishment through almost the entire book. Even at ridiculous times, it just didn’t make sense and was slightly bizarre. Really, there were a few occasions throughout the book where it seemed a little male bashy. I know it’s a book where the Fae society is matriarchal, but it was to the point where the way Eira thought sometimes seemed less “strong, independent woman” and more “keep them under her thumb” type of woman.
The number of editorial errors was very distracting from the storyline. They were throughout the entire book, and it is more a case of the wrong word used rather than a misspelled one.

I really wanted to like it because it’s poly paranormal romance but it’s poorly written, points out its own plot holes with characters saying things like “I don’t know, that’s just how it is,” has some glaring consent issues, and the "chemistry" between the characters made no sense. I get that they've got this "we're fated to be together" but there should at least be some build-up and chemistry between the characters. It's very much "telling, not showing" and it doesn't even do the telling all that well. I don't think it's intended to be a comedy but some lines had me in hysterics because they made no sense.
Oh, and there's lubeless double penetration, which I was not prepared for - maybe they don't need lube because they're all supernatural creatures? Idk, it made no sense.
Re: glaring consent issues - "he says he doesn't want to kiss me right now because he wants to wait for the perfect moment but I know he wants it so I'm going to use my succubus powers on him" IS NOT HOW CONSENT WORKS!!! And no one ever calls her out for this even though she has two other partners who are aware of this dynamic? It doesn't matter that it's a female aggressor and male victim and that he's immune to her succubus powers, that's still sexual assault!!
Two stars because I actually read the whole thing, but overall it was a disappointing mess. And there should really be a warning that there are major consent issues, because that is super triggering for some people.
Eira is a descendant of Jack Frost and since she was 18 years old she is responsible for the frosts to arrive on time so winter can get started (amongst other things). Only... this year the frosts haven't arrived yet and Eira cant seem to get through to them. Problem is, if winter doesn't kick in, the world is pretty doomed. Naturally she doesn't have to solve this problem alone.. she has some handsome men (well.. witch, fae and a vampire) to help her out... yumm...
My take on the book: This is the first book I have read by the author and I liked it, Eira has her head on straight and doesn't take any nonsense from anyone. She does her own research and doesn't rely on her men to solve things for her (pretty refreshing actually). There was a decent amount of sex (though often suggested and not detailed if that's important for you).
It was well written, the flow was good and I didn't find any errors. For me the only problem was that its so short. On my kindle it was only 162 pages :'( As such I feel that the characters and the story itself could have been fleshed out more but then again, maybe the author has that planned for further books :-) At this moment I'm not sure if I will read the rest of the series, I will however put them on my list. If they are ever on sale, I would gladly spend a few hours going back to the Paranormal Council Universe.
Eira is a descendant of Jack Frost, and she must make frost happened so there can be the turning of the seasons. That's not happening this year as it should, and she's not sure why. A mysterious man offers more information about this. Eira seems to be building her harem, and soon it includes her best friend (a witch), a vampire, and a half-fae.
I have read a variety of books from this author, and this is one of the few that disappointed me. I had a hard time getting into the story. The book seemed to start abruptly. I didn't find Eira particularly sympathetic. The men in the book are a fascinating trio and what kept me reading. I particularly liked Josh, her best friend turned lover.
I wasn’t wild about the amount of profanity in this story. Unfortunately, the book was riddled with grammar, punctuation, spelling, and usage errors—so much that I believe it was a part of me not being able to get into the book. Not only were the typical comma errors present, but there were also issues with capitalization within words, missing words, wrong words, and words with strange misspellings. The book’s pacing didn't feel right. Like I said above, the beginning was off, and I also felt like the ending was rushed.
I received a free copy of this book, but that did not affect my review.

Saving Eira is a RH set in the Paranormal Council Universe and the first book in the Fated Seasons series.
I loved reading this novel. In this paranormal universe anything can happen. Eira is a descendant of Jack Frost (plus she has a little something more), who is connected with her mates - a witch, fae and vampire in this fun reverse harem story. I love story and the plot this one has. I love characters and their deveopment, the banter and wit is so fun throughout. I can't wait to see what is to come in the next one for them all.

“Saving Eira” is the first installment in Laura Greenwood’s “The Fae Queen of Winter” Trilogy, a fantasy paranormal romance series set in Faerie that follows Eira (FMC) in her journey to eventually become the Queen of Winter.
Eira is responsible for calling the frost every year, she is a descendant of Jack Frost, and is – at the beginning of her journey – more of less content with her role in life, but fate and ancestry have other plans. The story is fast-paced, action-rich, entertaining, with a wonderful crafted-world, lovely enjoyable characters and a steamy multispecies romance. This is Eira’s story in her way to her fulfillment, accompanied by her mates (why-choose) into a quest to keep the balance in the Faelands.
Eira is responsible for the Frost each year, but now she has her hands full, the seasons are not changing, and her own purpose is in jeopardy. To make things even more complicate and weird, she discovers a mate-bond not only to her best friend and neighbor (Josh, a witch), but also to the vampire elder (Rueben) and even an annoying Summer Court Fae (Leth), who seems to now some secrets about Eira’s magic powers, and is of course not telling a thing. To solve the Eira predicament with her magic, they should work all together, and they do, eventually.
Imagine being a descendant of Jack Frost and somehow you can’t get the frost flowing. Now think about being needing sex to keep your energy levels up. Well this is what Eire has been experiencing. She is frustrated both magically and sexually. Who can she turn to for help?
I found this a fun sexy book that deals with love and the magic of the four seasons. It is filled with an assortment of well crafted and interesting paranormal characters. The storyline follows the struggles of Eire as she tries to find love, enough to satisfy her, and who is blocking her magic. There are some very interesting twists and surprises. It is a light hearted paranormal adventure with enough heat and romance blended in. It is the first in a series and I for one am looking forward to reading more of the Fated Seasons series of books.

Needed more oomph
I should have loved this far more than I did. I’m not sure what it was, but it felt liked the story dragged. It wasn’t quite pulling enough for me to want to continue reading, even though the story should have been interesting and great. There was some depth here that should have made sense, and yet the repetition of ideas and thoughts just seemed to slow it down, make it boring.
I really wanted to like this, I did. But some characters just appeared out of nowhere, without an ounce of reason, and others just weren’t rounded or exciting enough. I will say, the most exciting part of this was the sex-on-the-wall scene. In fact, all the sex scenes were great! I just wish that there was better use made of the amount of pages given, to give us something exciting with each step.
See, our heroine is a descendant of Jack Frost and is responsible for making the frosts come. Frozen, right? Or perhaps not.
This is an urban fantasy reverse harem story, which means you get lots of supernatural creatures and activities, as well as steamy romantic interactions. The sex pretty much occurs off screen, but there is rather a bit of it. Not saying that is a bad thing. It's cold out, right? So you have to generate heat somehow.
The story is very well written with a solid plot line and multiple intriguing characters. Our heroine is strong and self-possessed, willing to take some help from the men but on her terms. I felt there was good chemistry between our various suitors and really enjoyed their interactions.
Highly recommended.

Eira is a descendant of Jack Frost. She is also half succubus. She has a sister named Izzy who has precognition and visions. Her sister only has a little snow magic. Eira inherited the frost magic to bring winter. Her job is to make sure the frost arrives on time. This year she realizes the frost is late. When she turned eighteen she started to have feelings for Josh. But they could only be friends. Until one day she meets Reuben who is a vampire and Leth who is half Summer Fae. Now she knows that Josh, who is a witch, is one of her three mates. The love all three have is very intense and passionate. Will they be able to discover who has taken Eira’s frost magic? Will they be able to save winter? This was a good story that kept you involved in figuring out the mystery of Eira’s lost power. The world the author has created is wonderful.
This is the first book in the Fated Seasons series and of course it is a reverse harem, the genre that just has me scrambling to find all the books to read at once. I love the imagination that the author used to put the descendent of Jack Frost as a main character and have her as also being part succubus. We find out that the neighbor is her best friend Josh, who she has been in love with for a long time, but never spoke about it. There is also a cocky vampire and a half-summer fae that are part of her little harem. You definitely need to read this series to see just what Eira has to go through to complete her task of making sure frost arrives on time. I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.
Despite a lack of character development as a whole, this is an adult sized reverse harem with a happy ending that remains entirely plausible.
Things move fast between Eira and her male best friend Josh, when for some reason the frosts she is supposed to usher in are delayed. Her succubus heritage has always daunted him, and a polyamorous mating with a vampire and a Fae comes to their cosmic assistance in the nick of time. Rueben is a vampire elder and Leth a scion of the Summer Court; both have cultural obstacles to overcome before they are able to fully meld with the others to vanquish the plot against the seasons.
Love eliminates all obstacles, and Eira gains some wonderful new in-laws. I'm hoping that future volumes of the series include their stories.
This was a great start to the Fated Season: Winter series! Eira is a really relatable character (minus being part witch and succubus) because she’s strong and independent, but also isn’t afraid to ask her men for help when she needs it. The connections she has with Josh, Leth, and Reuben are all different and special, but one thing they have in common is to protect her and keep her safe. I can’t wait to read more from The Paranormal Council Universe! Marina did an amazing job narrating this book! She really brought the story and all of the characters to life. It was easy to tell who was talking and she narrated at a steady pace that was understand. *I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review. @AudiobookObsession
