My mom reads mystery novels. She sent me this one with a note saying it is interesting because it shows police methods. And you know what? It does.
It’s a nice methodical murder mystery.

Good plot. Swearing and violence
Deb Ralston is a police detective around 42 mother of three adoptive children the youngest is 15. She is also a grandmother and is now pregnant.

While out flying with her husband in private plane He spots a fire below and she looks into binoculars and spots mail truck with driver slumped over steering wheel bleeding. Tells her husband to land as close as he can.

Why would I let a cover bother me throughout an entire book? Maybe because one of the main ingredients of the plot is the switching of 2 green 1957 Chevys and the cover shows a red one. Drove me crazy. Other than that it was a decent read. I enjoyed the Postal Inspector angle and found a lot about the postal aspect accurate. That was encouraging.

a light read set in the Fort Worth area. I probably wouldn't buy this. My mom left it at my house after she finished it.
