When Kennedy, the gorgeous actor Recker has been obsessed with for several months gets into a tussle on the news, his chosen mark is exposed to the world. Only a few will understand what the mark means, but those few could be dangerous.
Recker gets hired on as Kennedy's new bodyguard, replacing the idiots who nearly got him injured in the first place, and confirms what he'd been starting to believe... Kennedy is his mate. But how do you introduce someone who lives their life in the spotlight to shifters and... everything else?
The one with the precocious actor and his snow leopard shifter bodyguard.
As always, this chosen and his fated mate were cute, cute, cute together.
Plenty of chuckles and plenty of heartwarming smiles.
Loved that this one ended back in Purdy, Nebraska, with the original Chosen and their mates from the earlier stories in the series. It was good to be back with some of the more memorable couples.
Follows the typical format for this author and series. This time its shifter bodyguard and spoiled tv star. Nothing angsty. Basically instalove with very few bumps in the road. Readable fluff despite the mentions of human (chosen) trafficking.
As always J. D Light chosen books are a delight to read. You will love reading about Recker and mate as he finds out about shifters and why some might want to kidnap him.
This is a shifter/paranormal suspense romance series, the twenty sixth book in the series and it has to be read in order. This book bridges the gap by taking someone from the Tennessee Streak of shifters back to the Nebraska Leap of shifters. Our Shifter if fan-boying over an actor he’s obsessed with when the actor accidentally shows his chosen mark on tv. People are out to get him, the shifter becomes his bodyguard but will happen when he tries to explain the world of shifters and chosen to his mate?!However, you should go back to book one to start this series as they literally read like one continuous story, you will encounter the couples from the previous stories.
Kennedy is such a smartbutt but he cracks me up! Recker is so good for him and they are so sexy together! This series is so full of love and laughter and I absolutely love it! ❤️❤️😀😀
5* - very very good and rare (it would be a Blow- Away-book like ‘Jesse's Smile' or ‚Joey’ from Angelique Jurd, ‘Save the kids' series from EM Leya, ‘Love’s Tethered Heart’ from C.L. Etta or 'Liberty' from Seth King), it's like an A+
4* - very good and will be often reread and is a WOW-book with interesting plot and surprises (like most of Andrew Grey books and Davidson Kings 'Haven Hart'-series) it's like an A
3,5* - a really good book, which will be reread a few times a year (most romances where you can enjoy for relaxing and during waiting times in hospitals). I can recommend them definitively! It's like an B+
3* - it could be more then a one-time-reader, maybe 2-3 times a year. It’s like a B
2* - it was ok to read, but it's more a one-time- reader (i wouldn't recommend it heartily, but it was ok). It's like a C-, D
1* - sorry, but that isn't really a book for me (too many mistakes, not nice plot, illogical, so an absolut NO-GO). It's like failure in the whole line, dismissed, repeat the class
Wow, cloud gazing sounds like so much fun. :) This was such a cute story with lovable characters who each have their own destinct personalities. I enjoyed the aspect of Recker being a bodyguard for Kennedy, especially since they were mates. Overall, this was such a humorous and pleasant reading experience. =)
Well, I just finished this short read and I can't even tell you the MCs names... yeah, it was that short on info and was more like 4 or 5 scenes plucked out of a story that we don't get to read... *feeling VERY disappointed*
Kennedy was a delight to see constantly surprising Recker. It was fun to see Recker assume that his mate would react one way, only to have Kennedy do something completely different. I liked that we're back in Purdy for a while again too.
It completely amazes me how far this series has gone on . Yet each new book is still a separate and wonderful addition to an already great series . I would recommend the chosen series to anyone and everyone . It's just that good .
Calling in a Recker is one of JD Light's better books. If you've been following the series, we get to go back to Purdy and check up on old friends. The tone is light hearted, and Kennedy has a bit of personality.
